Our second ever campground experience, and wow, is it different from our expectations. It is nestled in a corner of nowhere, up and down a winding road from Dahlonega, 15 miles past Suches, which is a spot in the road. But, this place is quiet and very unusual. The hosts are very accommodating and friendly. The campground has two full, stocked kitchens that campers can use at no charge. They rely on honor jars for supplies used. There is a big screen TV with Dish in the club house. Also, games to play, fishing in the stream down from an early 1800s grist mill (yes, you can catch your dinner), well kept grounds, and shower house with supplied toiletries and towels There is coffee in the clubhouse in the morning. These are all pluses. Oh yes, there are two each guineas, turkeys, and bantams running about. The sites require some leveling, and with heavy rain, can get a little soggy. Gravel roads, grassy pads. Cell phone is nil, but Wi-Fi is free; athough, not very fast at times. We would do it again. Nice base to see surrounding area if you like to drive the mountain roads.

Our first ever campground experience. We stayed here in April and July of 2013. Both times, the staff was very friendly and helpful to us first timers. Nice paved roads, but narrow pads. Very clean and well maintained facilities. Easy access from I-75. Although close to the interstate, noise did not seem too bad. Good place to eat down the road at Farmhouse. Say hello to Horizon RV, who got us into camping.
