This RV park is walking distance from amenities, close to the Olive Pit store/restaurant and the interstate but nicely situated away from highway noise. Level grassy spaces and excellent washrooms and showers. The owner who checked us in had lots of helpful info about the area and shared coupons for restaurants as well. The entrance into the park seemed odd - through a kind of strip mall parking lot - but all in all a great overnight park.
We loved this RV Park - except for the traffic noise. The staff and seasonal 'regulars' were friendly and social. Free coffee and goodies available every morning, help yourself citrus orchard trees, happy hour gatherings daily, and a great pool and hot tub. A beautiful lagoon/pond is situated centrally in the park with a resident white egret, lots of bird song in the trees, and nearby birding opportunities at Salton Sea. Everyone we talked to said they were used to the highway noise and it didn't bother them but it did bother our sleep both nights and in spite of the other great points, we probably would not return here.
There are lots of 'rules' at this park, which seemed to go along with the attitude we perceived during our stay. This park felt more crowded than ones we have stayed at previously or since. No room to move or sit outside and the spots were reach out and touch your neighbor - kind of tight. People coming and going in their rigs past us were too close for comfort on the 'roads' through the park. The free Wi-Fi did not function when we were there. When we mentioned it on checking out the response was, "Oh well, at least you didn't have to pay full price (we had the Passport America discount). The washrooms were quite nice and very clean. The flowers were in bloom and the grounds were well kept. You can get outside the park through gates (with your washroom key) to walk to a store or up a trail so that part was nice, but we would not stay here again.
Great friendly feel to this park. Lots of mixing activities and meals to involve everyone who wanted chances to be social. Washrooms and pool/hot tub immaculate and quiet at night. The only complaint we had was the free Wi-Fi, being Tengo, was sketchy at best when it did work and NOT free. We took our laptop into the library/activity room and that worked fine. The owners and volunteers are cheerful and friendly. Passport America discount plus a 3 dollar resort fee.
