We stayed all winter and loved this park. It's quiet, dark, and safe with friendly neighbors. There are lots of big trees for shade and a park like setting in the middle. The owner is very friendly and keeps the park clean and it's well run. This is a very good place to spend the winter due to the nice little town of Hondo that has most everything you could want. Be sure to call ahead for a reservation as you may find it booked up.The monthly rate was $200 per month.
This is a beautiful campground and easy to get to. They have a great salt-water pool and the management is very friendly and helpful. It looks like many people spend the winter here and I can see why with the warm winter temperatures.
This is a great place to stop on I-40 and the restaurant has excellent food with reasonable prices. We have stayed here several times and they really do a great job making you feel welcome. The old Route 66 runs right behind the campground and there is plenty to see and do in this area. I highly recommend you make this a stopping-off point.
This is a very, nice new looking campground with good pull through sites that are wide enough for slide-outs. It's quiet and the truck-stop down the hill is a Mobil station which has a nice restaurant. The only thing this park needs is a pool to make it a 10.
This campground is in a beautiful place but the spots are not very level. We also found the hookups to be rather inconvenient for us. However the people running the campground couldn't be nicer and the Columbia Ghost Town is just a very short walk and has some great restaurants.
This campground is just a half mile South of I-80 and sits on top of a hill overlooking the Platte River and Ogallala. The park has huge shade trees, lawns and long pull through sites that are plenty wide for your slide-outs. The owner and the camp host knock themselves out to make your stay enjoyable. This park is quiet, clean and peaceful due to the hands-on management and it's short distance from the Interstate and railroad. The pool is clean and heated, the cable TV has 60 channels and the Wi-Fi will knock your socks off!. Ogallala has many stores and a 25-mile long lake with sandy beaches, warm clear water and good fishing: making this a destination type campground. We spent four months here with our seven-year-old granddaughter and are looking forward to coming back next summer. I might mention that the rates are very reasonable and include electricity. We also felt very safe letting our granddaughter run around due to the onsite management.
