Really enjoyed this park. The owners are great with lots of local history and information. Our site was spacious and private - kind of an unusual site with a rock wall on 2 sides. Highly recommend this RV park. It is a bit tight getting into and out of spots. There are long term campers, but they are in separate area. The area is very neat also.
Park is way too expensive: $60 for pull through site and $40 for back in. We opted for the back in (our rate was AAA). The back in sites turned out to be very narrow and filled with older units that seemed to be parked permanently. Not a very comfortable area. We walked around the other sites and they seemed to be quite nice and spacious. Still too expensive. Just beware of the back in sites.
Very nice overnight park. Easy to get to and nice size sites. Owners were very nice and helpful (we had RV and Toad mechanical difficulties). Laundry facilities were very nice. Would recommend this park
Campground is nice - well spaced and quiet. Had to stop 2 times for directions (was within a mile). Used address given in GPS - did not work. Found Expo Center easily enough, but no signs for campgrounds or office. No one was in office either that afternoon or next morning. Could find no way to pay anything!
The only thing going for this campground is the proximity to Carlsbad Caverns. Sites are very tight, area around campground not maintained, the grill was rusted out. All looked like it was left over from the 50's except it did have newer electric and sewers.
The park was very nice, but we were very impressed with the owners who were always on site. We had a couple of issues - dead battery on towed vehicle and a hard drive computer problem. They were very helpful in both cases - even letting us utilize their personal computer. Can't say enough about their helpfulness.
