Absolutely phenomenal. We stayed with our two children in our 27 foot motor home in a huge site with plenty of room to spare. Fire pits were in great condition, picnic tables were in great condition, showers were hot and clean, bathrooms were clean with electrical outlets as well. Lake was terrific, beach was sandy and excellent for the kids to play on, two adventure playgrounds kept kids well-occupied (both younger and older kids had lots to choose from). Wonderful spot to stay for a week!
What a disappointment! Sites were so tiny that the parking spots at Costco seem roomy by comparison. Fire pits are old and falling apart. Picnic tables are old and falling apart. Showers are brand new, but only 50% of the toilets working (in the women's, at least) because signs say they are not level and cannot be used. Mud everywhere (poor drainage). Sites were more expensive than advertised online (when we asked about this the lady at the desk said: "Well, of course, the website's from 2009", although this was not told to us when we phoned them to book). "Heated Pool" advertised was freezing, and is closed until 1pm daily (not at all useful for the kids). "WiFi" that was supposed to be available at camp site was actually only available near main building. Lots of construction going on...maybe one day it will be a nice spot, but there is DEFINITELY a good reason why it had "lots of space" (as the lady at the front desk told us on the phone) at the last minute on a gorgeous July weekend. Huge trains pass by all day and night right behind the campground, with Highway 1 directly in front.
