The rate shown reflected the fact that I stayed at this park for a month. Everything the other reviewers have said is correct, including the fact that the management company that owns the park are real jerks. Most of the long term tenants have left for other parks. It seems everyone pays a different rate, depending on what you can negotiate. In the summer they do not reduce the rate, so the place is a ghost town. Last year, I paid $275 for November and December, and this year, they wanted $600 for each month. Fortunately, I told them to get real, and they finally, after two weeks, gave me a better rate. The park hosts are wonderful, sweet, and very helpful. It is such a shame what they have to deal with in the management home office. The ownership obviously does not know what they are doing. The new NASCAR theme is a real joke. They play the races, very loudly, and no one watches. I doubt if it brought in any additional business. If they wake up, and come up with some competitive rates, it is a great park and everyone there is wonderful. Until they do, they will continue to lose business, cut activities, and eventually die. If the park was sold, it would be the best thing that ever happened to it. Since their revenues have decreased so much, the book value of the property has to be devastated. From being 95% full two years ago to 25% full now. You figure it out. Since most campers do not have to deal with home office management, if you can get a decent rate, stay here!
We found this campground driving North from Rice Lake by their sign along side the road, and went in to check it out. The spaces were very large, and we parked on a concrete pad. We got perfect signal on our satellite dish and the Wi-Fi worked good. The people were extremely friendly and very accommodating. The manager arranged for me to use a boat for fishing and the fishing was great! The lake is low and fish are concentrated. It is about a city block in size right now. Thee is a game room and the restrooms and showers were immaculate. I would most definitely stay here again, either for a night, or a week. Good park. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very quiet and safe.
The owners were friendly and they have a great bar/restaurant with good food. The lake is clear and clean. There is a ramp and dock space. The trees are so tall, our satellite dish did not get a signal. The is no Wi-Fi, and our Sprint air card did pick up a signal, but it was weak. They said AT&T had a new tower closer by. A good fishing lake, but not during my stay.
Owners were friendly and glad to see me. Pull through spaces were short and tight for my 38' rig. They had a fenced doggie play area with agility stuff. My dogs were not very agile, but enjoyed all the smells of dogs that visited before. Plastic bags and a disposal can were supplied. The area was very clean. Highway 191 was a real challenge, with 10 switchbacks in 2.5 miles north of the campground. We found a Chinese buffet called Win On, which was the best I have ever had. Every item we tried was perfectly prepared. The town is beautiful, with flowers lining all the main streets. We enjoyed the visit.
Owners were friendly and happy to see me. Pull through spaces were very long, wide, and level. Not much to do here, but for just passing through, I highly recommend this place. Very quiet. Grass between all of the gravel sites. Cable TV worked fine, for a small added charge. Much larger, better, and not dusty like the other campground in town. We're glad we stayed here.
Access to lake blocked by security gate. Only residents of the lake area permitted to drive to lake. Office staff indifferent, instead of attending to person in front of them. After taking a friend on a demo run in my bus and pulling back in to my space, one of the staff chased me down and told me I had to check in, even though I had been there two days. The lake is choked with weeds. The new bath house and store is very nice, but the rate charged is way too high.
This place was very beautiful. Fortunately a friend who lived in the area recommended it and came to show us the sights. The highest waterfall east of the Mississippi, 256'. The sites are widely scattered. Forget about pull-throughs. Trees are tight. Definitely not big-rig territory. There were only two sites to pull through. One was occupied and the other was difficult to get in and out of. No bathrooms or showers within walking distance. No picnic tables. Scenery is spectacular.
We stayed here one night during a trip. The staff was very friendly, the site for overnight stays was fairly large, and there are a lot of things to do. The roads and grass are well maintained. There are ponds with huge fish, but they evaded my efforts to catch them. Not a bad place at all. If in the area, I would return.
Site was clean and level. Very scenic. A car is needed to visit the rock formations and restaurant. Wonderful dinner at the restaurant. It is a "Don't miss", cheap, too! Very remote and quiet. Family friendly. We would definitely come back.
We stayed here for a month, hence the rate shown. Exceptionally clean campground, showers, and bathrooms. Great activities. Super clean pool. Walk less than a block to Super Walmart. Only 8 miles to Webster, FL, the site of a huge flea market on Mondays. Convenient to I-75 but far enough away so as not to hear it. Pull-thru spaces are relatively narrow, but angled so you won't feel packed in. Back-in spaces are very wide but require a 3 month minimum stay. Staff is very, very nice and clubhouse, billiard room, card room, and puzzle room are all immaculate. I would definitely return to this campground.
Nice clean park. Very quiet. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Fishing tournaments on weekends, with weigh-ins very interesting. On a channel between Lakes Kissimmee and Hatchinea. Great Crappie (Speck) and Bass fishing. Sites are paver stones and very level. I would definitely come back. Cell phones and internet air card worked fine.
VERY nice. One of the best parks we have ever stayed at. The owners are so nice and friendly! A day after checking in they still remembered me by name and what site I was on. Nice lake, great pool, super kid friendly. Lots of pets. Everyone was warm and all had a good time. The road was a little tight, but the owner led us to our site and watched to make sure we stayed wide of the trees. When we got to the site he assisted with backing in and trimmed any branches that might have interfered with our slide. We would definitely go back to this park. Seasonal campers are in a different section of the park than overnighters.
During our two week trip through Ontario, this was by far our favorite campground. The owners were great, remembering our entire party by name. The site was close to the lake and was level. The laundromat was close and exceptionally clean. The fishing was very good, with large fish available right off the dock.
The location of this park is on Snake Bay of the beautiful Lake of the Woods. The water is crystal clear and there is a beautiful beach. The managers were very friendly. I had to prune the trees to get my coach in and out of the site. The restroom facility is clean, but old, and the building had a pay shower. Wharfage costs 11.50 per day. There are a lot of seasonal campers here, some who have been coming here for years. Good fishing here, from the dock or out in the lake.
This is a fishing camp with a few RV sites available. The owners are friendly and will launch your boat for you. The fishing is very good, fishing Butterfly lake, and through a channel to Minnitaki. A drawback is the large hill where the RV sites are located. My site was about 75' above the water level. We left when our holding tanks were full.
Campground was very clean and well maintained. Manager was very accommodating. Fishing was very good. Dock and boat launch was decent. Water was clean, and beach was excellent. We would definitely camp here again. They have good water and a place to drain holding tanks.
This was a very quiet, peaceful campground. The staff was very friendly and helpful, leading you to the campsite so you can pull through. We had a 50 amp site with sewer and water. The sites are gravel, as are the roads, but well marked and mostly level. Bike riding would be better if the roads were paved. We had decent TV reception, but not a wide selection of channels. The store is nice, as is the pool. We would come back again.
Campground was nice, spaces were wide, owners were very friendly and helpful. We stayed here on the way to our destination AND on the way home. Bike riding was easy. All facilities worked as expected. We would definitely stay here again.
Reservations were easy. Site assignment was exactly where I wanted to be. Check-in was easy. The site was level and easy to access. Security was evident 24 hrs. per day. I would definitely stay here again. The beach was clean and the indoor pool, (on the beach) was great.
The road to the park was narrow and winding. The park is located on a hill, so the roads are up and down, with sites terraced. The trees in the park have been trimmed to the point of looking like a tornado went through. The site I was assigned to made it necessary to exit the park, drive the narrow winding road again and re-enter a different driveway. The site I backed my 38' coach into was NOT level at all. I was very unhappy with the site. The management let me move to another site which was more level. Riding a bike around this park was difficult and not fun. I would not ever stay here again.
