This is a lovely and quiet CG and we've been here several times. The only thing that would make it even better is having Wi-Fi throughout the park instead of just at the Ranger Station. That said, we'll be back.
We stayed in one of the premium sites right after Labor Day. We thoroughly enjoyed the CG. The rates were more reasonable since it wasn't in prime season. I probably wouldn't pay the top dollar. It's a very good CG.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The beach is wonderful and so peaceful. Our site (#4) could have been more level but we compensated. Dogs are welcome but not on the beach. Mosquitoes were not an issue. I'd love to come back again and again.
Even though the weather (for the most part) was very dreary, we had a very warm welcome from the owners of the CG. It's in a lovely setting. The only negative is the one lane road getting to the sites. It's difficult since it has so many holes. Other than that I'd give it a 10.
I agree with all of the prior reviews. This is our first time at this CG but it definitely won't be our last. We stayed a week and it was perfect for visiting family in the Asheville area. It is a CG with steep roads but it's worth it. In addition, they are adding more camp sites even higher. I can't wait to see them when they're finished.
This is the best CG, and all of the previous glowing reviews are accurate. We recently returned from a week at Four Paws, capped off by the October fest night. The food was spectacular and the games and singing most entertaining. Our dogs love the place and so do we. I hope to go many more times next year, especially since we heard that the ribs were the best this couple had ever had. You can't go wrong with Four Paws.
Don't stay here for the view. It's a hot and dusty spot with a view of oil storage tanks. However, if it's where you need to stop for the night, you'll find all the amenities you need. They had a dog run that we were especially interested in. But it's a very hot spot without even a blade of grass and if you're not careful, your dog can escape.
We only stayed one night at this CG. They have wider sites but not where we camped. There was only about 2-3 feet of space on each side. On that basis, we felt "overcharged". On the positive side, the Wi-Fi was one of the best we saw while traveling.
Given the reviews I read prior to going to Yellowstone, I was concerned about the CG being a "parking lot". We were pleasantly surprised by how much room we had at our site. We camp in a 30' motorhome and did not tow so we had plenty of room. We also stayed at Canyon CG and preferred Fishing Bridge because there were less mosquitos at FB. We also had a grizzly bear and 2 coyotes come through the park about 10 minutes after we walked our dogs. That was quite an interesting experience. The people at the CG are very friendly and helpful also.
We recently spent a week at Four Paws Kingdom, and I wish it had been even longer. It was the first trip in our MH for our 18-month old coonhound. Thank goodness we chose Four Paws for this trip. The CG is the best we’ve ever stayed in and the owners, Miek and Birgit, are so thoughtful and go out of their way to be sure their guests get whatever they need to have a successful stay. We stayed there when they had the Octoberfest evening. The food was spectacular and the singing and dancing were great too. We are very impressed with all aspects of Four Paws and will definitely return next year for an even longer time.
