This is now a KOA park and a very nice one at that. Front desk and management are very courteous, friendly and helpful. Pool looked very clean and inviting. All the sites are very clean, level with enough room to move around without bothering your neighbors. South end spots get a nice view of scenic surrounding mountains. The bathrooms and bath-house were cleaned daily and kept well stocked of necessities. Fire pits are a tad on the small side but adequate. A gas station is just down the road and Wal-Mart just north of the Luray caverns. We would definitely return.
Enjoyed an early season Easter Weekend here. Since is was early in season, the grounds were still mostly covered with last fall's foliage. However spots were spacious and not too close to one another. Front desk attendant were rather unfriendly, short and temperamental. Showers and bathrooms were clean and upkeep was good. On check out day, the dumping station tank was alarming full, but the friendly maintenance resident was able to help us ensure safe emptying of our tanks. Common and community areas were clean, mowed and the pond looks inviting. Pool is nearby as well as close to Dover and area shopping. We will return soon.
We stayed here over the Memorial Day holiday. It was very busy with constant foot and vehicle traffic even past dusk. They charge you for EVERYTHING here. Guests must register and pay. There is only one bathroom facility for the whole park. $0.25 for each 10 minute shower in sub par degraded facilities, that were only spot cleaned once a day. There were spiders, webs, roaches and frogs and all kinds of critters in the showers at night. Many sites were not mowed or trees trimmed very well and there are several seasonal camp sites that were in ill upkeep. Our site was on a corner with trees scattered around it making proper trailer placement very difficult to be able to reach electric and sewer services, much less open our awning. It is obvious that the staff is either overwhelmed or not managed properly. We felt unimpressed, uncomfortable, unwelcomed and just another tourist to nickel and dime.
