Positives: Five minutes from downtown Whitehorse. Ten minutes from Walmart. Gravel leveled site. Wifi that we could use at our site! Friendly staff. Easy to access from Rt.1. Negatives: Hookups at rear. Our first site they offered would have required us to run sewer, electric and water under the RV. Road noise as you are right off of Alaskan Highway. A/C would drown it out but power kept fluctuating and our power monitor would shut off the a/c.
Positives: sites were level with gravel. Restaurant had great burgers. Restrooms were spotless and water was hot! Laundry was $3 a load but was spotless. Fuel was easy to get to right out front. Staff were great. Sani-dump and rv wash. We didn't have enough coins to run the wash or we would have used it. Long site and didn't have to disconnect. Negatives: The hook-ups were all in the rear. No wi-fi unless next to the office so I feel they shouldn't advertise it. Noise from road so you may want to have a site at the back.
Received KOA discount. Graveled treed lots with shade. Heated pool, great playground. We had plenty of room in our site and we didn't have to disconnect our toad (always a plus). Pull through site with full hookups. Our site also had a picnic table. Wifi signal was good and was at no extra charge. Krogers within 10 min, walmart within 15 min. We stayed here in our 40' motorhome and would stay again.
Rate is with Good Sam discount. Our site was next to a beautiful large shade tree. We enjoyed sitting out at our site's picnic bench. We had full hookups with 50 amp power. Owners graciously assisted us with backing into our site. This site is a private home turned campground. We would stay again. Much quieter than the other option in Havre.
Our rate was with a Good Sam discount. We loved the staff at this campground. We were guided to our site and they helped to assist us in backing into our location. We had a full hook up site that was very level. Easy walk into the quaint town. Sites are a bit close but the road through the campground was wide. We would stay again.
20 is nightly fee but there is a $4 reservation fee and a daily vehicle permit fee. $54.00 for two nights and it was worth it. Park was virtually empty as we stayed on a Tuesday and Wednesday. Great playgrounds in several areas of the park. Big Rig friendly (our 40' motorhome fit well). Would have been a 10 if the water wasn't located at the back of the rig and we needed a short extension. You can swim in the lake and picnic on the tables nearby under the trees. This park is just beautiful. No sewer but there is a dump. At this time they are doing construction at the main entrance. You will need to take a gravel/dusty detour but the park is worth it.
Rate shown was discounted for Good Sam. There are several seasonal sites but all the sites at the front were available. Our site was full hook ups and level. Playground was ok. Pool was closed as the city now requires the pool to have interior lights. Wifi was good and was free. We had good Verizon & ATT signals. Our toad could stay connected and we had plenty of room for our slides. There is some noise from the interstate but with A/C on we couldn't hear it.
We enjoyed this campground and wished we could have stayed longer than overnight. Large campground with multiple areas. Some wooded areas and a large area with few trees. Has lakes and ponds. Very pet friendly and if you walk around the trail around the park and lake its about 5 miles. We didn't have to disconnect our toad. Flat, level, and gravel site with grass in between. Plenty of room for our 4 slides. Be careful of the steep entrance. We would gladly stay here again.
Honestly expected the site to be worse for $20 for a night. Used this for an overnight stay. Hotel facilities are available for use, but we didn't use them. My site was level side to side, but I had to unhook to level out front to back (I had hoped to stay hooked up). Highway is nearby but I didn't hear any noise and I am a light sleeper (ac was also on). WiFi had an excellent signal. I did enjoy sitting outside and the mountain view. Would use this site again.
This is a great campground. We camped here in a 30ft trailer and sites are level with gravel. There are several sites with patios and even some with swings. We were escorted to our site (which I always like). Staff are very friendly and helpful. There is even a nightly dinner if you wish to buy it. The pool is a touch small, but we only used it for a short time. There is no other shade at this campsite, however, we used this site to go to the Living Desert Zoo (excellent) and Carlsbad Caverns (even better). Showers and the laundry areas are very clean. Will definitely stay again.
Great campground! All sites are pull through with cute cabins and some tent sites. Has a dog area with some shade. Great laundry and showers. Very clean. A/C compressor froze and I was able to stay past check out while it was repaired. A staffer personally took us to our site and even offered to lend a hand. There are trees but not much shade. There is a pool, but we didn't use it. Camp stories open til 9 and has a decent selection of items. My kids loved the ice cream choices. Would be glad to stay again. Also, right next to a great walking trail!
Timothy Lake Campground is composed of two different areas. I stayed in the North Campground. I used the campground over Memorial weekend. There are 2 bath houses. One (near us) was out of order with no signs posted. We figured it was out of order when there was no water in the toilets, debris all over the sinks and tile and fixtures falling in the showers. When we used the other bath house, there was no water pressure. We ended up doing a sponge bath and just didn't wash our hair. We went to use the indoor pool first thing in the morning and found debris floating in it. We checked the pool bathrooms and my son discovered all the urinals were taken down and both toilets were clogged. Sites have some slope to them, but none of them would be difficult to level. My site had the fire ring on the wrong side and after 2 days of several requests, they never moved it. When we arrived we discovered the putt putt golf was closed as was the boats. If we were only staying one night, used our own shower and never left our trailer I would say the campground is a 4 instead of a 3. I recommend avoiding the campground.
Bull Run Regional Park is an excellent campground. All sites appear to be fairly easy to level. Very wooded locations. Lots of pull thru's for big MH. Great kids playground. Bathrooms are outstanding. Clean and in excellent repair. Within the park is a waterpark, putt putt and disc golf. We have a travel trailer and it was easy to back into our spot. We really liked that you often saw someone driving through to check the campground. Our kids are looking forward to staying here again.
