This is truly an awesome campground! When we pulled up on our site which was across from the clubhouse and was getting out to setup, several other campers came over introduced themselves and were eager to invite us to the current activity going on in the clubhouse. Everyone here is extremly friendly; we stayed for 3 days and felt like we had been there for months because we knew just about everyone before we left. The campground has a ton of activities going on all the time, Bingo, Nightly Card and Domino games, group activities and outings, golf, Lunch Socials and dinners. You wont get bored here that I promise. The park is very pet friendly which is a plus considering we have 3 pugs. The staff is wonderful, very helpful and they keep the park extremly clean. If you are in the area I highly recommend Thousand Palms RV park. We look forward to visiting again next year.
A few clarifications: they do have "some" shaded sites, but most seem to have "permanent" campers on them. Be careful if you have a tall rig; they even have a sign as you drive in "CAUTION LOW CLEARANCE IN SOME AREA". They offer cable hook up; however, they charge extra for it, and our site did not even have it available. There are train tracks that run through the middle of the campground, and trains run throughout the night. We were in a 40' RV, and getting to our site was really painful, barely enough room to maneuver to get to the site. Our actual campsite was horrible. The cement patio is literally broken into pieces, and several were sticking up that I had to move so the wife would not trip and get hurt. There has been no rain here, and our RV almost got stuck as they piled loose asphalt onto the site, and we could barely get any traction. Our site only had 50amp hook up, no 30amp available. If i did not have an adapter with me, not sure what I would of done. This park is really run down, too. I will not ever stay here again
Really a nice park. The bathrooms were very clean as were the showers. They have a game room that has a pinball machine, Ms Packman, and several "For Fun Slots," a pool table, and an internet connected juke box. They have a store on site, and the prices are extremely reasonable; they do not gouge you, and they have a fair selection. Another thing that I liked about the sites is they have a cement patio on just about every site. Makes it a nice place to sit. The staff here is very friendly and helpful; they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They have an on site restaurant that serves food, just not sure what the hours are. On Monday night they have Bingo. They have a very large dog park that is fenced, and they provide a waste scooper and bags. Very well kept. If you are in the area and looking for a nice campground, I highly recommend Clark Family Campground. We will be coming back anytime we are in the area.
We stayed at Lake Louisa for 2 weeks, All in all it was an OK stay. The park and facilities are well maintained. FIshing there was alright but slow, and the hiking trails were very nice. We will stay here again if in the area, there just was not much to do while there
We Stayed here for an entire month, Monthly rate till October is only $250.00 in October they are going up to $350.00 which is still a great deal. The staff is is great very friendly and they have lots of great activities on the weekend. The pool is heated and they have plenty of seating around the pool and hot tub. They keep the grounds extremely clean as well as the bathrooms and laundry facility. I can not say enough about Susie and Frank and the great campground they have built. My wife and I will be sure to stay here any chance we get.
