The pool and the cafe were closed as the season was over. I asked for a discount since we were now in the off season. She said she would give me a discount, so I guess the 38 a night was discounted. I had what appeared to be a nice long pull through until I had to unhook the toad and shuffle the motorhome back and forth and side to side until I could find a level enough spot without having to raise a tire off the ground. I thought it was just me until I watched a 5th wheel beside me having the same trouble finding a level enough area. Also watched two other motorhomes across from me with same problems. Previous posters are right about the watering. I got up early, made a cup of coffee, and went out to sit in my chair only to have to go in to change shorts and underwear after sitting in water. As I walked around I could easily see that the majority of sites were not level. Wonder why no one else has mentioned this. The only reason I didn't give this place a 1 rating is that the WI-FI was excellent, and we were parked right by the road.
My destination was only 70 miles further, but after reading the reviews on here I had to check it out. It's one of the best laid out RV parks I have seen. It's clean & water pressure is fantastic. The sites have 12' wide LEVEL concrete pads and each has a wider concrete area with a picnic table. There is green grass (well groomed) the length of the pull throughs. Did I mention that the pull throughs are long enough for a 40' MH with Toad and you can still have room at both ends for dancing if needed. The staff are some of the greatest. I was led to my site and then he checks the electrical box and actually plugged me in. I asked him where I could find a car wash for my Toad and he said I could wash it right at my site. There is still work in progress for more sites. The shade trees are still small enough to not have to worry about Sat. reception. The WIFI is great and they also have cable TV with about 56 channels. The roads are paved. Wal-Mart is just up the street. This park will be on my stop list when ever we are this way.
This is the third time we have stayed here in traveling South and North as Snowbirds. It will be the last. The sewer hookups are not sealed, you lift a door and lay your hose in a groove. Several times during the evening and day while trying to sit outside the stench from the unsealed sewers can be overwhelming and downright gagging. They allow Pets and have fenced pet runs but not many are using them as they have not been cleaned in many years. As soon as you get close to them you can smell the dog urine. That may be a health hazard for your dog. So I wouldn't recommend using them. If they ever install sealed sewer systems and sanitize the dog runs I would come back, in the mean time Laughlin and Mesquite will get my money.
Stayed here last year and came back again. Reasonable monthly rate. We don't need the swimming pool and spas other parks offer, we just like friendly folks and clean parks. It is also convenient to everything. Really like the entry as it has a traffic light for ease of entering and leaving. The staff patrols the park, pet owners are responsible and the walk along the canal is great. As in a lot of the RV parks in the area we get a lot of Air traffic from the Marine Base, doesn't bother me, it's the sound of Freedom.
The spaces are level and large. I rated it at 4 because there appears to be no enforcement of any pet rules. My dog on a leash was attacked by a permanent party dog who came charging out of a trailer. Staff were observed driving a cart around with their dog following without a leash. There are several permanent RV's here that are in shoddy condition and not even licensed. There were dog waste everywhere, and I even had to clean around my area. They charge you a dollar a day per pet. Speed limit is posted at 15mph and even the resident Rangers ignore it. With the correct management and enforcement of common sense rules this could easily be a 10 park. Did I mention this is a Mojave County owned park? I would not stay here again unless changes were made.
This is a nice place to stop heading South or North on I-15. Park is clean, and the pull throughs allow easy access and plenty of room to keep the toad hooked up. Wi-Fi is great and free; in fact I am using it to do this review. Dog area is right beside the office, and the dogs appreciate the grass and clean area. Also Good Sam card is accepted. This is a quiet place. It's off the freeway.
For the price it is an excellent value. With GS the price was 20.00. Really surprised at the good wifi at no additional cost. You can either go to the yellow bldg or wait for the host to come around about 6:00 pm I talked to a deputy Sheriff to see if the park was safe and was assured that there was no problems. We would stay here again if in the area.
Nice park. Excellent WIFI at no cost. Pull thrus are great, no need to unhook. Only negative was a full time camper's dog who constantly barked. This was our second time at this park and will stay again as we pass thru. Nice job on the patio's and fire pits. Easy access from I-15
If you like the downtown Vegas area this park is right there. They have constant security checking the area, so it is safe to stay in. We had two 40' DP's with slides and had to watch out for poles and each other when parking. We ended up with about 3 feet between us to sit and visit. Base rate was 16.00 and they charge a buck for each pet. The park is a parking lot, but there is shade in the back but those sites only have 30amp. If you like the downtown area and don't need much space to walk around your rv, this is ok. For the money it sure beats the Circus Circus KOA in my book.
They took out the RV park office. Now you have to check in at the Hotel desk. I was told I couldn't park and would not get an assigned space until I checked in at the hotel desk. The line for check in was long, so I went back and parked in a space and then went over later and registered. They didn't seem to mind that I had selected a site. So if you need to stay there park first and then register. They raised the rate from 16 to 23 and took out the office, but if you get there early and get one of the back ins it's not too bad. The pull thrus are not big rig friendly. Would stay in the parking lot next time if I stopped there.
Not bad for overnight stay. Appearances are run down. It could use some clearing up of junk. Staff and owner are really pleasant. We needed 50 amp hook up, but all were taken. So we hooked up to 30 and blew their breaker at the main breaker box twice. Only had one ac on and nothing else. The RV next to us was running 30 and had a 50 in his box so we ran the power cord under his coach and had no more problems. The people next to us said the previous rv had the same problems, this tells me they need to change the main breaker for this site. This could be a beautiful park with a little elbow grease. We would stay down the road if we came to Rexburg again. It is a PA park, but by the time they add for electric and extra people it would have been the same as down the road. PA book shows it as a 5 star rated resort. I don't see how it got that rating.
I would like to add a few words to support the previous poster. As I pulled in I was told that I needed to go around and out on the road again to access my site in front of the office. I did as I was told and as I was pulling in the "RUDE ONE" yelled at me to stop as he said I was going to hit the white rocks in front of his office. I was at least 18" from his precious rocks. I pulled into my spot and was watered down by a sprinkler while hooking up. I shut the sprinkler down so I could plug the elect in. They gave me a long list of rules, but I noticed they had one missing. Please do not pass through other campers spaces. We constantly had people passing through, which caused my usually well behaved dogs to bark. We had considered blocking the area and charging to make up for the over priced pull through. I went to the office to ask about ice and was told it was 1.60, not to bad, but I went up to the Virginian liquor store and was given free ice. The clerk said if we are staying in the RV park ice is free. So, why are they charging people when the liquor store gives it away? Almost forgot, as we were parking our toad I got yelled at for parking on the grass. I walked over and politely pointed out that there are several RV's and vehicles parked on more grass then I was. I think he was upset because I was partially blocking foot traffic through my site. Would I stay here again, no way.
Laundry facilities were dirty and the overall park was also unkempt. We have been here many times over the years and were really disappointed in the way it is being ran. Although we have a dog we were really upset over the way others allow their animals to run loose and crap all over with no one picking up after them. We even had a deposit in our site from someone else's pet. They need to get this under control before it becomes a health issue. We would not stay here again. Rather free load in a parking lot. A lot cleaner.
