Love this campground. It is so close to DC, Baltimore, and Annapolis. Very modern campground. At the time we was there, they was improving the campground even more. In the summer time you would not even have to leave the campground cause there is so much to do. But if you want to leave and visit DC, the bus service comes right to the park. The staff is helpful in telling you how the bus service works. Or the Metro station is only about a mile away if you rather drive to the station. The Metro is the best way to get around DC. The only problem is located in busy area. So there is a noise and traffic problem. The Wi-Fi is slow at night but I rather use my own connection for security reasons. Even though it is pricey we are willing to spend the extra money on this park. We will be back and tell our friends and family about this place.
This is one of the better state campgrounds we have stayed in. I just wish is was closer to us, cause we would be camping a lot more. There is all different kind of sites there to pick from. The size of sites are nice, you don't feel packed in. It would be a beautiful place to be at in the fall for the leaves changing. Can't wait to go back.
This is a nice campground. It is sort of hard to get to. We came in after dark so it made it harder. It was getting full we got there, so we did not have too many sites to pick from. It is a quiet campground. Roads are nice.
Stayed here for 3 nights. Really like the campground. Really enjoyed it. They have a nice pond for you to fish in. We did not go fishing but there was a lot other people of all ages. They had movies on Friday and Saturday night for the kids. The campground is close to interstate with road noise. Yes, it was loud at times but it did not keep us from enjoying ourselves. A nice dog park for your dog to enjoy some time off leash. Gravel road to and around the campground was well taken care of. One night the campground was near full, but it wasn't noisy. The campground owners and workers are very nice. The campground is out in the country but still close to restaurants, grocery stores and attractions. If you get a chance go north to Fountain City and go to the Fountain Acres Food store. Ran by Amish. The baked goods are good. Stop by and get a sandwich from the deli. One sandwich fed me and my husband. We live about a 30 minute drive and we will be back again soon.
We loved this campground. The weekend we stayed, the campground was full but we had no problems with noise. Everyone was well behaved. The only negative thing I can say is that the bathrooms were clean but showing their age. Lots of programs to keep the kids busy all weekend.
We really enjoyed this campground. It is located in a good area to get to all the local sites around the area. Wifi was good and cable was acceptable. The restrooms was clean but the showers could be a little bigger. The staff was very helpful. Even when our neighbor had cut our cable off. They was fix it quick for us.
For a over night it is an OK campground. We we arrived we was given our choice of two sites. When we found our sites, they was grass covered and no gravel and there was no fire ring. So I went to the office and asked about getting a site with a fire ring. I was told they would bring us one. We was going to stay more than one night but only registered so if we did not get a fire ring was going to move on. Needless to say we moved on cause we never got our fire ring. Also this campground is used by people transporting RVs from factories to dealers, so there was a lot traffic an noise. This campground maybe nice in the summer but off season it is not worth it.
