Site 56 not level. Wi-Fi not so good. Cable TV good. Toilets and showers plentiful and clean. Nice lake . Nice setting. Sites close together and some shared areas depending if you back in or go forward. With no cell service, it would have been good to have totally consistent and reliable Wi-Fi.
Our site (#2) was right by the clubhouse and nice clean modern showers and toilets. Good number of both. Over-the-air TV had a great picture. Wi-Fi OK. We liked being by the pond because it was close to showers. Site not level. Did not have enough levelers. We expected Wi-Fi to be better. Park was pretty empty.
Very welcoming check-in. We always ask for closest to toilets and showers. There were closer ones left unoccupied. Convenient to Bemidji and Paul Bunyan bike trail. Love the radio music in bathrooms. Shower was like needles--needs better shower heads, but appreciated the strength.. Nice campground setting. Very quiet.
This was one of our favorite campgrounds in the entire Great Lakes states. It is What RV camps should be. Very hospitable and helpful owners. Lots of grass. Lots of physical games and activities for kids. Free paddle boats. Cable TV good. Wi-Fi OK. It costs a dollar. Beautiful laundry facilities. Everything very clean. Only one shower but I never had a problem getting in when I wanted.
Very helpful and responsive phone reservation. Website great! Very informative about stores and such close by with mileage. Big grassy sites with crushed rock for the units. Perfect set up. New and clean. Great heated pool. Fantastic personnel...very friendly and welcoming. Beautiful events room with pool table. Level sites. Individual shower toilet bath houses. They should replace shower mechanism. No temp control and it's one of those push things that shut off every 60 seconds. Very annoying! Also they don't allow ROTTWEILLERS but I'm still going to give them a 10.
Very full. Park looks huge from site map but landscaping and different levels help prevent it from feeling like a parking lot. TengoInternet, but very good. Impressive for a park that size. They get a nine because of their blanket prohibition of rottweilers. Also there was a line this morning at 8:30 at women's two toilets. Neither toilet worked well. I had to plunge one last night. Have to use combo locks to get into everything and is difficult for my arthritic hands. I felt sorry for an older couple checking in with a 1995 unit (it was very nice). But the staffer made a big deal about having to get special approval because it was such an old unit. I don't like blanket rules, but I guess it works for them; no crummy units there.
A very nice campground. Lots of wonderful trees so you don't feel so cramped like most KOAs. They should clean their picnic tables however. Pool was popular. Wi-Fi was the best KOA Wi-Fi we have ever experienced. Site was not level.
Definitely the best KOA we have ever stayed. We got to stay in a new site. (Beautiful brick campfire ring never ever used due to restriction on campfires.) Very, very level site with new picnic table and even a swing. Not sure who gets swings. Cable TV good. Pretty pool area and miniature golf. Nice, nice people. OK, so yes, it's a KOA. A little close, even the new ones. Especially bad when these huge fifth wheels come in with their huge trucks and overshoot the very, very long sites. And of course, the Wi-Fi works very very poorly if at all. KOA would do us all a service to put in their guidelines not to walk through others' site. It seems to happen more in KOAs, both children and adults. Rate reflects 10% KOA card discount.
We were concerned when they didn't return phone calls and didn't pick up their phone during business hours. They were the only game in town besides Walmart so we just came and took our chances. It was a fine park. Good strong wifi that knocks you off when inactive but easy to log back on. The restrooms were immaculate. I didn't use the showers so can't speak to the water power. I really appreciate it when I don't have to remember a lot of codes for entry. A litle grass and picnic table on the site. Ours wasn't level front to back which can be annoying. Easy in and out and very, very quiet! No cable TV so we watched a DVD. A wonderful Walmart in a Helena.

New park that also has mobile homes around it. An empty man camp. Very friendly and helpful check in. No one seems to know about this one. New casino smoke free. And restaurant and bar. Does honor passport America. Phenomenal rate!
Not sure if this rate includes a discount. Check in person did not mention. Staff very friendly. Very hot Saturday so not real crowded park. Bathrooms clean. Strong shower and good hot water. Great pool area. Perfect temperature! Nice beach on the river. WiFi was one of the strongest we have had. Lots of cable TV offerings. Grassy sites but level. It looks like it could be tight if the park got full.
Our most favorite RV park out of 200 we have visited! Just the right size, with all pull-through. The owners should get a special Good Sam award for the best managed RV park. The entire staff pays attention to detail and it makes for a wonderful and extraordinary RV experience. The sites are good size, level with grass area and a picnic table. Immaculate doesn't describe how well they keep the bathrooms and facilities. Nice touches: extra lighting in the shower area; also extra TP provided if existing roll is low. FREE ICE puts this place "over the top" for me. Although it made me sad when I saw a few people abuse it by filling their HUGE ice chests. Lots of cable TV stations. Wi-Fi good. Staff very enthusiastic and friendly. Close to Fredericksburg which happens to be my favorite town in all of U.S. I used the laundry room which, of course, was IMMACULATE and lots of folding tables and racks.another nice touch: proceeds from laundry room go to cancer center. Good recycling--a can smasher is even provided. Too bad most folks don't use it. We really enjoyed the entertainment on Wednesday nights. Wish there were more activities in May.
This was our fourth stay here. Asphalt roads, level sites. I like roads we can bike around on inside the park. Not dusty. Sites well taken care of. One of the rules is not to walk in the empty sites. WiFi good, but there were only about 7 units in the park so it better be. The office staff a little friendlier. Bathrooms great set up. Extremely clean and nice. Even has hair dryers. Nice touch. I did notice that the hand held shower in the handicap shower should probably be replaced. Doesn't work real well. We ran our fan all night so didn't hear the traffic noise like last time. Hot tub too hot for a hot evening. Network channels still fuzzy when we use the cable TV. We have had that issue before at this park. Very nice laundry room and I always appreciate the book exchange. Close to Walmart and the wonderful las Mesilla area.
Rustic campground. Nice folks in the office. Level gravel, with table and tree, fire ring. Good bathrooms. Two toilets and three showers at the upper area. There are three other bathrooms down by the lakeside sites; but the roads down there very rutted. Wi-Fi very slow; no cable TV. Roads badly rutted. We had a nice big site in front and couldn't see the permanent trailer park further toward the lake. Pool too cold for me. Bathrooms old, but clean. Very little highway noise.
Probably one of the best available in the area. Very few sites available for overnighters. We were very appreciative that the trailer park does that. I think we had one of the nicer sites, under a nice big tree. But it was toward the exit so it was very noisy with the workers' trucks going out at night and then again in the morning. The highway noise was even worse. We weren't expecting that. We didn't realize how busy that highway was. Very friendly check-in person. Level site. Bathrooms old, but clean. Wi-Fi not good. Cable TV good.
This is by far the best RV park in the area. Owners live there and there is pride in ownership, and it shows. But my rating is based on comparison to all the RV parks we have visited. Pros: very friendly and welcoming owner who is on site. I think this is important. Owners do not tolerate bad behavior so even though the majority of residents are long term, it's quiet and clean. There are only 4 bathrooms, but they are exceptionally clean. She puts all overnighters in the back of the small park so it's a little walk to bathrooms and pool and office. No soap or towels in the bathrooms. Laundry room very clean and spacious. Gravel sites and roads, but as level as any. Some trees, but no shade. Nicely landscaped and well taken care of around pool and office and bathrooms. They don't allow Rottweilers or dogs that look like Rottweilers. We don't have any dogs, but I don't like parks who discriminate against this breed. Pool was perfect temperature for a hot day. Great views for a sunset. Fort Stockton actually is an interesting town with a decent historical driving tour. We took a tour of the old jail . Free, with a nice docent.
This park got a 9 only because of highway noise and no cable TV. Otherwise, it's a near perfect park perfectly run with really nice folks. Like reviewers have said, the bathrooms are clean and plentiful. Park only 2 years old so very nice and clean clubhouse, bathrooms, and pool area and exercise room. I even found a DVD that I had always wanted to see ("The Way") so didn't really miss TV, except we like to listen to news and weather. Wi-Fi good...we had spot across from office. Wish there was more to do. We would have stayed longer. Too bad there is such highway noise. Make a point to stop at this place to see how well managed a park can be. Need more new ones in Texas. They need better signage...we missed it the first time. Check-in woman really set the tone with her friendliness and welcoming spirit.
Very few spots for overnight. I didn't find the check-in person particularly friendly or helpful. Crowded. Laundry room clean and reasonable: $1.25. Cozy rec room/lodge. Only one bathroom available after 9 PM. Clean, however. Wi-Fi not good. Cable TV good. And worst of all, TRAINS at night!
Yes, highway construction makes it hard to find and get to. The manager should have mentioned that. It's such a nice facility, we stayed two nights to visit Nagadogches, Texas. New and very clean bathrooms. But should have more. The handicapped bathroom was locked the entire time. Pool area very nice. If I had dogs, would be a great place for dogs. Nice lakes. Couple of folks didn't control their little dogs and let them wander. Worker guys hung out on porch of bathrooms, a little intimidating since they weren't as friendly as others we have met throughout Texas. Good Wi-Fi. Level sites. Good Internet reservation system.
Over-priced for a run-down facility. Patio chairs very worn. Kitchen in commons area roped off; stacked with miscellaneous equipment. Rules not enforced, especially quiet time. An entirely different park in May and June. My review in February a year ago sang its praises! Staff good at cleaning bathrooms, but will drive by trash or a can left in a site. Sites are NOT cleaned up after someone leaves. Only one toilet for all the men in the park due to bathrooms being remodeled. We were not told this. We might have gone to Corpus Christi or Galveston if we knew this. They should have at least had porta potties by the pool. Wireless good after we finally connected; t took a day and a half to get on. Lots of channels for CATV. Sites waaay too close together; ridiculous! Can't keep windows open for ocean breeze because you hear all your neighbors. More pull-throughs should have the patios. If going, get the best sites looking out on the bay with chairs and decks and be self contained and closed up running your air conditioner to drown out the noise at night. Management responsive to my concerns, but they have a long way to go to merit what they charge.
All cement sites and roads and GREAT Wi-Fi! I thought we had found the perfect 10 park on the beach, but alas, some failings. They have a push button system in the showers so the water shuts off every 60 seconds. I would rather pay into a machine than that. At least you get water for 5 minutes! One of the showers I could not get hot water so had to switch. I didn't find the staff particularly friendly. The other drawback is that we weren't able to enjoy the pool hot tub area two of the evenings. The first evening a couple of families from the area came . And the 2nd night, the park I assume had let the girls softball team have a party. I think they should have told us. When I asked the next day, front office guy said he didn't know anything about it. When we checked in, we were given a bunch of codes to "prevent the local KIDS from using the pool in the evening" there is no code for the pool gate and the locals know it. Someone is around in the evening because they shut the gates at 10 and turn off the music. I think they look the other way or those people are their friends. Very off putting. Now that we have done the touristy history stuff of Galveston, we would go to the other end of the island in the future. This place does have the best location. Access to beach wonderful. And like I said one of the strongest consistent Wi-Fi we have experienced.
Wide cement sites. Very clean. She always seemed to be cleaning the bathrooms. Private, hand held showers. Good pressure. Lots of hot water. Pool a bit cool. Easy access to park. Very friendly front office. It would have been perfect, but the wifi was nn existent. They should charge for it to make it better. One fellow with his laptop said it was inconsistent even close to the office. Free breakfast is a nice touch...love the texas waffles. Also complimentary bikes is a nice touch!
We made reservations over 6 weeks ago. We were put in space 19 gravel and unable to have enough levelers. Only other space they offered was 21 and that was OK. We wanted around lake and close to the bathrooms, but not possible. Two showers in bathhouse next to pool with two toilets. All just with a shower curtain closure. Rustic cement floors, and they weren't very clean. No paper towels in men's toilet all weekend. We met the owner later and she seemed very nice. I didn't mention the site problems since it was too late. It's very quiet and pretty with the fishing lakes. We appreciated coming home in the evening after the hustle bustle and congestion in Breaux Bridge. The pool was very clean and nice, but cold. But the worse was that WiFi didn't work at all for the four days on our two I pads, but it was "OK" for my husbands computer. That has never happened before.
This is our second overnight stay here and really like it. The bathrooms are plentiful, spacious, modern and very clean. Cement pads and roads. Good size for us. It accepts ROTTWEILLERS WHICH gives it high marks with us. We don't travel with our dog, but I get very upset at RV parks that have blanket breed restrictions. This park would be perfect EXCEPT we never could get WIFI. Very weak and slow occasionally. We even tried it at non peak times but still could not get strong enough signal. We noticed a lot of mifis in the park so others may have issues also. Love the free ice. Like I said, of over 200 RV parks visited, thus one would be perfect if the wifi worked.
New management seems to be working hard to make this a good campground. Very, very clean showers and toilets. Good strong water power. Very nice front office and they escort to our spot. Very friendly. Most level site we've had in a long time. Abilene and Buffalo Gap village fun. Very quiet except for happy dog.
Surprisingly quiet because parked in the back part away from highway. Nice sites. Really friendly and efficient check in. Very helpful what to do in Fort Worth. Only two toilet/shower rooms. Sometimes a wait. Very nice facility. We stay there again.
Rate reflects good Sam discount. Had to ask for it. Pleasant enough check in. During our stay, any staff we encountered were very friendly and asked if they could be of service. We had a mice back in place in the quiet part of the park, but actually the entire park was very very quiet, even with some partiers on the weekend. I reserved on phone and didn't quite understand between deluxe pull thru or regulars, but I should have asked more if I needed more information. We stayed here 4 nights and really liked it. I love camping in the big trees. Good shade against the texas sun. Facilities were very clean. Gazebos with swings and nice lawn area. Loved the private path and access to the river. Our site not so level. Other sites seemed more level. There are fire rings which I enjoy in the evening. The office rents tubes and shuttle service. Laundry was only 1.25 wash and 1.50 dry and the machines were very good. We will definitely come back
They put the FUN in funky! From the first moments of check in, our stay here was wonderful, I'm not sure what I can add. The reviews are spot on about being unique, not a cookie cutter park for sure. If I were to spend months in Tucson, this would be the place. Soooo quiet at night. I'm so tired of trains in that area. We were there in April so wifi was fine. We would come back and stay longer. People there very friendly and not clique-y. I wish they had activities through May when we like to travel. Guess they are getting a nine from me ( hubbie gave them a solid 10) because sites are gravel, the soap was working in the bathroom, and not a hand held shower, but loved the cubbies in the shower. Many high end places lack shower shelving for shampoo, soap, etc.
Very nice check in and reservation over the phone. Pool was a bit warm for me. I liked having grass and oleanders and walking down to the beach. $7 for electricity. $1 for Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi totally worth it. Very strong and consistent. I wish all parks would do this. Never found level at site C7. We were there at a good time. Not very many folks. Nice bathrooms.
This is our FIFTH stay here, and I was sad to have been treated so poorly at check-in. We arrived about 4:45 on a Wednesday evening and I waited politely until the person finished what she was doing on her computer. She was very curt and didn't want to tell me anything when I asked about pool hours or the lodge. She was very rude and acted like she just wanted me out of there. We had trouble with the Wi-Fi which we had never before so I'm not sure what was going on. She probably could have told us to close everything before logging onto to Bright Star Wi-Fi. Sites very wonderful. Level and big!! Clean bathrooms and a wonderful little exercise room. I'd like the pool heated, but that's just me, I guess. Easy off and on from the freeway. Yes, train and freeway noise, but we have had worse. Another person didn't even know about the bathroom codes so she didn't even explain that to a newbie.
Beautiful grounds under the pine trees and exceedingly well maintained, in a convenient location that is fairly quiet (there is some train noise). Staff really have the concierge mentality down. Extremely helpful and around in the evening to help, with spa or BBQ. Even suggested I call a 1/2 hour ahead so they can warm the seats in the steam room. Wi-Fi was great for me but hubbie had problems keeping connected on Saturday evening. Good cable TV. Sorry to hear of the restrictive dog policy. That may eliminate us next time. Complimentary coffee and newspaper and individual trash can. You can use credit cards in the laundry. Liked the spacious sites and didn't have to put our sewer into someone's yard.
Best small (our preference) independently owned park we have ever stayed! Wi-Fi never failed us. Strong. Lots of good cable T.V. Channels, but we almost didn't get that. She remembered to tell us the site we were assigned, did not have cable so we changed. Yes, there is the train (no whistle like in the southwest) and yes, a five minute shower cost 50 cents, but it is a well run place. Extremely helpful staff. Bathrooms large and very clean! It would be nice to have shelves in the shower (and of course a hand held shower head) but not a deal breaker! Bridge to Hood River costs $1 every time, which was annoying, but not the RV parks fault.
Wide sites. Lots of grass areas. Being on the Columbia all good. Walmart nearby. Lots of channels on cable TV. But they gave our site away and we had to move. Not even an apology. We had to move and they didn't even offer a $5 off since it was THEIR mistake!!! Wi-Fi was very frustrating and always knocking us off. Bright night light right in our bedroom. We had tons of flies in our unit plus hubbie said there were lots of flies in the mens room. Should have two showers. Shower area rather small to move around in. The snafu about making us move really soured us on this place. We will never come back. Lots of other nice RV parks in the area.
Very lovely setting. Bathrooms very clean. Good hot water once I switched shower stalls. No hand held shower head and not enough shelves for all my shampoos and soaps, but o.k. I did report it to management. Very nice folks. We came in on an uncrowded Sunday night and was able to pick our spot. We picked the one closest to bathrooms and laundry. It had a nice slab patio and flowers and grass. The only site that did. Has an air hose which is unusual for parks. Didn't try the heated pool, but would have liked to. Weather kinda crummy and we don't fish, so we moved on. Laundry clean. Two dollars to wash. I picked a crowded time to do laundry on Sunday afternoon so had to wait a couple of hours. No biggie.
It's a great place to bring kids. Lots of activities. We came on the 2 for 1 night special so the park was completely booked...all 300 plus sites. The sites are big and level. The staff is very friendly...from the person who cleaned our bathrooms to the person giving out popcorn for the free movie to the fellow helping us check in and taking down our license numbers... Koa definitely knows customer service. Cable TV good. Lots of wireless, but still spotty at times. Free pancakes - a nice touch.
Check in was with the best guy: most helpful and friendly in all of the 170 parks we have been in. Bathroom/showers immaculate. Handicapped shower had my hand-held shower head that I love. Sites close together but had flowers and nice landscaping between them. (Although our grass was a bit barren.) The breakfast room very warm and inviting and large. Free DVD rentals where many places charge. Nice book exchange and well stocked gift shop. Spa is a wonderful feature and everything was clean. Nice unique touch no where else: free morning newspaper delivery to your porch. Premier is really doing it right!!
I like rustic feeling parks with campfires and all the amenities so gave it a nine. Hubbie got use to beautifully modern and decorated premier and sea perch. Bathrooms are more like a state park, but the handicapped facility does have a hand held shower and the strongest hot water pressure I have encountered in a long time. What turned my husband off was the check in process. Rather abrupt and not very friendly. (We've been spoiled along the Oregon coast with their hospitality). No bathrooms in the pool area so we suspect that the kids just pee in the pool rather than get out and go outside to the toilets. Lovely setting and I'm thrilled to be able to have a campfire. Very, very quiet!! Great cable TV reception and LOTS of channels! Strong Wi-Fi.
Location is Great! The private beach is wonderful to watch the sunset, and just take long walks! Park is small, but we didn't have any problem backing in or out. A few trailers did. Office staff very friendly and very helpful and informative. Super club house. Nice decor. they keep it immaculate. Lots of places to visit close-by. Loved Cape Perpetua.
We chose this one because we wanted to be in walking distance to the Old Town Bandon. I'm glad we were close to town like that. It's a wonderful little seaside town. The park had very small and tight spaces on rock. There was a very nice manager; she had lots of great ideas on what to see and where to go. She had all the answers to my questions. There was a good strong WIFI. Rate reflects 25% off for calling ahead and making reservations. There were only two toilets and one shower, but they were clean and not a problem. Lots of cable TV channels to choose from.
I give this park a 10. Strong wireless, but only those parks that have immaculate showers/bathrooms with hand-held shower heads get a 10 from me. Also, I love that they accept all breeds of dogs. We are not currently dog owners, but want to get another Rottweiller , but many RV parks do not allow them. That's rather arbitrary in my opinion. Office staff was excellent and very helpful and friendly. Pool was cleaner than ours at home. Very refreshing! Nice touches like a porch swing on the river bank to relax and watch the river flow. Very very nice facility. Hubby gives it a 9 because he could hear the highway noise.
Location great. Short walk to ocean and town of Pismo beach. I'm not sure it would be so enjoyable on a busy summer weekend. Well maintained and a great free Wi-Fi system. Lots of channels on cable. Bathrooms were "California clean." I'm a native Californian who has traveled extensively throughout U.S., and standards of cleanliness in almost everywhere else is much higher. Grout on floors dirty and I realized the little white tiles on the floor made it look like tissues were there I thought. Sites close to each other, but the park has lots to offer. Restaurant closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so we didn't get to try it although it would have been convenient for us to use.
Narrow sites. Good paved road. Caters to seasonal retired folks. Staff and residents seemed nice. Three pools and 3 shower areas so that was good and accessible and very clean. We only stayed two nights. Lots of activities offered. We had problems first day with TengoInternet, but the 2nd day, connection and getting set up much better. No way to buy TengoInternet code for a second computer. At other parks, I paid $5 so that we both could use our computers at the same time. The lady checking us in, said there was no way to give me a 2nd code even though she had a clipboard full of the slips. Very quiet spot.
Big sites. Lots of lovely palm trees. Toilet , showers for overnight folks not quite as nice as main facilities. I wish all parks would charge for wi-fi to insure a nice strong consistent connection. With the reasonable rate, paying $2 for wi-fi was still a good deal because it WORKED! Great paved roads to ride bikes around. We got there for movie day. ARGO was showing, and they even had popcorn. Very friendly folks. Tennis courts, warm pool. Lots of activities. Great park.
The bathrooms were old and dated but clean. I like that they had paper towels. Yes, friendly and fast check in. Level campsites, good hookup, easy in and out of sites and campground . Nice long pull-throughs. Very helpful staff. Good strong Wi-Fi. Lots of good channels on cable TV and good reception. Wi-Fi better than a lot of the fancy expensive parks. We will be back when traveling through. We used discount card from another campground, 20% off.
Just the size of park we like. Wonderful setting on the river. Big flat sights. Friendly managers. Strong wifi. Hubbie thought it was a bit slow. Cable tv great picture but it had some fuzziness. OK, clean bathrooms. Great hot water and strong in the individual showers. Only drawback is roads not paved, but not a big deal. The pool looked well maintained, but we didn't use it. We will definitely stop there again. Junction doesn't have much to offer but there are nice people in the thrift shops and a nice city park at the river.
This is our 2nd stay here. Last May there were very few folks there. February was a bit crowded, but we were very happy to get a nice, close space to the bathrooms. 3 nice clean separated showers. Strong hot showers. Manager not the friendliest, but nice enough. I appreciate the morning Zumba and exercise classes and the Tuesday night cowboy jam session. Location is the best to walk to town. That's why we will stay here again. Good rate also. Good strong wi-fi and good cable TV!
Pretty basic park, but multiple showers and toilets. They were clean and modern. No paper towels or soap in the toilet/shower units. Community room was very inviting. Free coffee. Only gets a low rating because no WIFI. Must go to commons to get WIFI. Did not use the pool. Level sites. Best cable TV transmission that we've had. Water not an issue for us, but thought it was a nice touch that they gave us a gallon of water to use. I'm sure their well water is fine; it just tastes like well water.
Gets a 9 because of no good WIFI. They suggest you do your computing in the commons area. They are on TengoNet. If we had a Verizon or AT&T data plan, then we would probably stay there forever. My husband thought he didn't like KOAs, but this changed his attitude. Every staff person was friendly and helpful and attentive. They immediately came and checked our TV reception. Also, came and repaired the picnic table right as soon as we reported it. We enjoyed the Friday night music on the deck, and my husband loved the $3 breakfast. Best pancakes ever! Loved being able to walk to Pier 19. Great food and cheap drinks and loved Cactus Willie live music. Lots of clean, modern shower stalls and toilets. The guests were also nice. Easy to bike to the county park and to town. Yikes,Texans don't seem to like bicyclists! We called to get our site, and so we had a great bargain I think for South Padre Island--only $44. She seemed to try and discourage us because they were small, but we were fine for 5 days. Husband says he would upgrade if we were there longer. Great park. Pool warm also.
It gets an 8 for its location. This is an old, rustic park with very small sites. Hard to maneuver. However, grass at most of the sites, and flowers and plants are a nice touch. There was only one bathroom and shower combo. Man checking us in did not mention that it needed a key and a $5 deposit so I had to go back to the office. This was the most we ever paid for a site. However, husband does not like to stay in the big 1000 unit large parks like the ones in town. People staying there seemed very nice and friendly. Bernies on Wednesday night is fun. WiFI was nonexistent. We were able to get on an unsecured wifi from another source for most of the time.
Close and convenient to Alamo and River Walk. The Walmart close-by on Military Highway was HORRIBLE! Crowded both times we were there and NEVER any carts inside or out in the parking lot! It was crazy! Sites were very close together. Used the propane that was on-site which was a good convenience. The bathrooms and showers were nice and modern. WIFI was very good. Very crowded on the presidents birthday weekend so we were lucky to get a spot, and of course, couldn't choose to be close to restrooms like we like.
Everything was great. Just got a "9" because husband noticed road noise. Showers and restrooms were good and modern. The two shower stalls need a curtain to separate them. Laundry room was clean. There was always someone around who was cleaning the washer/dryers. There was a lot of pride in the maintenance of the whole park. Loved the bird viewing area. If we were staying longer, we would have used the hiking/biking trail next to the park. Wi-fi was very good. She forgot to tell me it was $5 extra for a 2nd computer with TengoNet. It was worth it to have consistent strong wi-fi. Cable TV also good. Del Rio had nothing to offer us. They need rehab funds to save some of their old buildings downtown.
An excellent park from the first experience. The people registering us, camp helpers, were extremely enthusiastic and helpful about what to do in the area. I really like and appreciate that. It was very well laid out, easy to get in and out. Bathrooms were immaculate. Shower area good and had strong hot water! As in most everywhere we go, wifi is weak, especially in the evening when others are downloading their Skype and movies. Enjoyed the new bar at the hotel downtown and Big Bend is in the area.
Very well maintained. Paved. Convenient. Some freeway noise. Great individual showers. Very, very clean. Didn't offer any info at check in, but pleasant enough when asked. Didn't know about coffee in the morning, but a nice touch. New and nicely furnished common room. For that price, wifi should work better. They don't tell you to put up antennae with the cable TV for network channels. Too windy to put up antennae. When I made reservations, they unnecessarily put us in a large corner premier pull through. There were lots of regular pull throughs we would have fit. Guess we are still learning about making sure I ask all the right questions.
This is a bank owned property, but check in staff working for the management company and are very nice and helpful. They allowed us to use two back ins as a pull, through. Like the other comments, it is not well maintained. No soap in the bathrooms. No heat in the bathrooms. Paper towel dispenser coming off the wall. Both female and male bathrooms marginal. One of the pools and spa closed. It is convenient to town.
We were very appreciative of the owners to fit us in. They were very full. They seem to cater to rally's. They are planning to charge for their one shower. They expect only Independent units and people to use their own units toilets and showers. There was no hot water in the one shower. We are used to using the facilities shower so that was surprising to us. Nice big TV in the club house and a hard wired Internet in the clubhouse which was used to pay bills. It was frustrating that there was no WiFi in our unit. They block big downloads like Netflix. Very very nice owners ...just run differently than what we expect.
This is basically a copy of another review. This is one of our favorite parks. It is excellent. Very clean and tidy smaller campground. Each space has a cement pad and a little landscaping with plenty of room for rigs with slides on both sides and a tow car. There is also a pretty little cactus garden with a picnic table. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and pointed us in the direction of several sights we would have missed otherwise. Strong Verizon and Wi-Fi signal.
