If you don't have a camper with a shower or bathroom you wouldn't want to stay here. No facilities were available during our stay. Just a huge asphalt parking lot with rv spaces. We've been back to Texarkana since our fist stay here and have chosen other campgrounds. This one is okay if you just want a spot to park for the night.
Every time we go to Little Rock, this is where we camp. We board our dog at with a great veterinarian on the road to the campground which gives us free time to visit all the sights in Little Rock without having to worry about taking care of our pet. The campsites are level, clean and the facilities are well kept. Great place to walk after eating dinner or early in the morning. The only problem we had was with sand fleas when walking in some of the areas.
Great place to stay and visit for Western history and WW II history buffs. The sites were clean and had plenty of room. Shopping for groceries and small cafe just a few miles away. Great sunsets and sunrises. There are some small fishing lakes in the park. We enjoyed our visit at the park. Would stay there again if we ever get back in the area.
Well located park for visiting area attractions. Campground hosts were friendly. Campground is right off a main road and some sites back up very closely to the road. Our site just happened to be one that was close to the road. We had requested a level site as we wanted to take the truck camper off the truck during our stay. The site wasn't very level -- others in the campground would have suited us better. We liked them so much we extended our stay at the campground rather than move to another campground in the northern Black Hills as we had originally planned. Overall, we were satisfied with the campground and would stay there again -- provided it was in May before the summer rush started.
We really like this campground. The camping pads did need resurfacing but for our small rig, the one we used was perfect. We stayed at the campground to visit the Crater of Diamonds and were pleasantly surprised by the campsites. We would gladly stay there again.
