This is a small campground that has some seasonal mobil homes at the rear. This is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in. Lots of shade trees, quiet, landscaped sites. In the heart of Door County and close to many areas. Would stay here anytime we are back in the area.
We stayed here while family was visiting and we needed more space. Was a mobile home park that half has been converted to a RV Park. Lots of room between sites, good paved pads, quiet area on the edge of town. Convent access to community.
As "snow birds" we have stayed here 6 months over the last 4 winters. This is a very average park. Due to limited camping in this area, it is full in the winter. When full the WiFi is very limited, they have few IP addresses available so WiFi is very slow or not working. This has been the same for 4 years, they always make excuses. Many of the concrete pads are broken, not just cracked, and some parts are 6" or more lower than other parts so leveling can be an issue. Also they often get reservations messed up. Saw this happen twice last month and both times they told the campers that this has never happened before! Their web site has not worked in several years. This could be a very nice park but needs some improvements and better management. Our rate reflects the monthly rate.
ALERT...We were going to camp here and called when about 1/2 hour away. We got a message on their answering maching that they were out of business and a subdivision was being developed on the property. Please call before you go.
We camped here for a Rally event so I am not sure what a nightly rate would be. The camping area is a large grass field with hook ups at the back of each site. There was some rain a couple of days before we arrived and we got stuck when we pulled onto our site and had to be towed. Others got stuck when they were leaving 3 days later. Beware if it rains when you are here. Is very handy if you are attending the state fair or another event on the fairgrounds.
We found this campground to be very handy while visiting the State Capitol area. Campground is on a hill side but each site is very level and will accommodate large RVs. We were able to open our 3 slides but did not open the awning due to tree limbs. Each site has a covered picnic table, grill and fire pit. There are 17 sites plus a host. Rates are $14 for full hook up and $13 for electric only. Reservations can be made.
