While the park is a resort park: the campground leaves a lot too be desired for motorhome and 5th wheel units. Most sites are small and have sloping dirt/clay sites. Most "waterfront" sites have a water view but are a steep drop to the lake. Advertised WiFi is only available at the lodge, restaurant and golf course which are a 2-3 mile ride. Not a Campground. There are much nicer SC State Parks and Corps of Engineer parks in the area, with generous level gravel sites sites.

Nice park, easy on/off I-85 with plenty of room between sites in most areas. Friendly staff, neat clean facilities, WiFi currently available in front "C" loop but expansion is planned. A little highway noise in front loop "C" but other areas are available if that's a problem. Will put this one on the "keeper' list and return when in the area.

A nice location for access to surrounding attractions. An older campground but stes are generally large, level and spaced out. The campground road is steep and winding - best to unhook towed vehicles before heading to the camping area. When making a phone reservation I was instructed to call the Headquarters for instructions regarding the low clearance (11'-1") and was given the wrong information. Note: If your rig is above the 11'-1" height - the campground is only accessible from rout 40 heading east and the Headquarters office is only accessible from route 40 heading west. Route 40 is divided and you must travel a mile or two to find a place to turn around.
