Ok so here's the way I see this. To be a five star in my book you have to meet certain requirements to a certain degree. 1. Kid friendly. 2. Good Wi-Fi. 3. Clean bathhouses. 4. On site laundry. 5. Near stores, but still quiet. 6. Friendly, comfortable atmosphere. 7. Pet friendly. Granted there is no pool or park which, even though I don't travel with kids, I like to see. However there are a ton of planned activities for the grown folks every week. These folks have a rec hall and they USE it. They have a Gazebo and they USE it. They foster a sense of community like no place we've stayed before. So I give them extra points for that. We came in here accidentally in emergency circumstances, and were welcomed with open arms. We have been made to feel like a part of this community and it IS a community. We hope to return here at least every couple of years for the snowbird season to visit with these amazing folks.
Nice quiet park. Great prices for nightly, weekly and monthly. Wonderful people running it. Bar and Restaurant on site. Swimming pool was smallish but private as well. Lots are good sized, which to us is important. And the Wi-Fi worked really well. They did not have a bath house or laundry facilities and for us that was not a workable situation for return visits, so though we loved it we probably will not return. Another perk, especially if you are a full timer, is that the post office is right across the street.
This campground would have been a perfect 10 if not for 2 things. First the entrance is a bit steep and even with our 36' Travel Trailer we scraped going in and out. Second the wifi was pretty much unavailable except at the office, which is fine for many but for me WIFI is of huge importance. The staff were amazing people who made our short stay much more comfortable. There is an on site restaurant that serves Cajun food and it is just wonderful. They do have nightly, weekly and monthly rates. The atmosphere of the park is quiet and friendly. There isn't much for kids to do here but nobody causes a fuss about them being outside playing either. We had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again if I could live a short while without my internet.
