Its starting to get warm in Sacramento and the beautiful tree canopy and shade are much appreciated. Large, back in spaces all with 50 amp electric and nice trees and grass. Many sites can handle 40 footers. No pull thrus. Great center of Sacramento location. Free cable TV and wifi and big pool. Nice management.
The park has really upgraded since our last visit. Many large pull through sites built and almost every site has 50 amp electric now. New paving throughout park and the access road KOA Way. Remodeled in and out clubhouse and the store is open.
The trout fishing was great and the park clean and nice. We especially enjoyed the lighted fountains at night. There are large, pull through sites with frontage right on the lake. Our friends stayed in the new cabins they have on the lake.
RV park has reopened under new ownership and management. Beautiful clubhouse renovation with new furniture and large screen TV, free WiFi, and the park is very busy making other improvements. Large pull-through and back-in spaces. Very nice area and park.
This park will be reopened on January 16, 2009. The owner of Sacramento Shade RV Park in Sacramento has purchased it. They plan a number of improvements. You can call the manager at Sacramento Shade at 916-922-0814 to make reservations for January 16 or later.
Management Response to earlier review-Yes its gets hot in San Jacinto in the Hemet Valley and the reviewer must have visited during the very hot two week heat wave we had in August. The heat wave set off a bad fly problem which we have taken care of and will make sure it never happens again. Because of the heat in the summer, we just opened a brand new swimming pool. Every two weeks we stock 1,000 pounds of catfish in the summer and trout in the winter. We have 30 years returning customers. Please visit our newly remodeled bathrooms, $75,000 playground, basketball and wall ball courts, horseshoe pits, group shade pavilions, and country store. But its the great fishing close to all of Southern California that keeps people coming back. All areas of the lake are stocked.
