We enjoyed this park. The staff was helpful and friendly. The site was clean, large, woodsy, with adequate privacy. The only problems that we had was the electricity. There was a cold spell, and apparently a lot of campers were using electric heaters. The voltage going into our motorhome was so low that our electrical system cut off the electricity numerous times. We turned off everything we could to stop the problem. The worst time was in the evening when most people were watching tv, using lights and heat. Summertime could be a problem, also. The park staff checked the voltage, and agreed that there was a problem. They were going to call GA Power & Light, but we never saw them come by.

Passport America Park. On Bus I10, traffic is light at night. New Mexican food restaurant on the edge of town, on the left as you enter town. 1-2 miles. Very good! Convenient to visit Chirachawa Nat'l Monument. Friendly staff.

Passport America Park. Great for overnight. Large pull-throughs. Good WiFi. 1 mile from I20, so it's convenient, but quiet. Nice staff.

Facilities at the site were excellent. Paved roads and large sites. There are more likely to be sites in this area than Buckskin Mountain, but camping here entitles the guest to full use of Buckskin facilities, such as hiking, visitor center, and ranger talks. Near the road, but traffic is very light at night.

We enjoyed this park, but parking our 38' motorhome in our 49' site was a chore. The trees had not been trimmed lately, and were hanging over the site. We got special permission to park with our right side wheels on the ground so that we could put our slide out. We had a great location, with the beach right behind us, on the other side of a sand dune. Leaving the park was also a problem, as the trees were hanging over the road. On a good note, the entrance and the parking area were definitely big rig friendly. It was the campground itself that was not, in my opinion.

This campground is great for tenters, but I would say the park is barely accessible to big rigs. Our motorhome is 38' and we felt like we were the largest motorhome in the park. The roads are narrow, and in bad shape. We were in the "C" loop, and in order to avoid exiting the park by going all the way to the end of the loops, and back, we had to go around the C loop. It is narrow and in terrible shape. From reading the reviews, I was expecting much more in this park.

We really enjoyed this park, because of its location. It is right by a boat dock, with the Duluth harbor in full view. We watched ships come through the channel, and the aerial bridge raise to let them in or out of the harbor. It is somewhat tight for big rigs, but the view is worth the maneuvers to get parked. We had a front row seat for the awesome fireworks on the 4th of July!
