Park was very nice, especially the sound side. The downside is the location - 17 miles from the nearest grocery. We would not go there again due to the bridges and the lack of facilities in the area. Be aware, the wind blows hard there most of the time and is not friendly to awnings or slide toppers.
This is not a big rig friendly park. Exiting off the interstate onto a 2 lane winding road. After registering you have to leave the park, pulling out on a blind curve, go down the hill and turn against traffic into the pull-thrus sites . You are at the mercy of drivers, since the pull-thru sites are at the bottom of the hill on a curve. we would not stay there again, and could not recommend the park.
All the sites are level, lots of grass between sites, within walking distance of restaurants, Wal-mart, and of course Cabela's. If ever in Sydney, make sure you don't miss this park. Would stay there again.
Make sure you arrive before dark, if not, you might find yourself in the pond. The roads are not marked inside the park, the pull-through sites are certainly not "big-rig" friendly, more like a wash out dirt road. Would never ever stay here again.
If you don't mind parking really close to another rv, then this is the park for you. The only thing this park has going for it is location and cable. Walk out your door and into the back door of the gift shops. The employees could be more customer friendly.
The view was a 10; the sites a 2. You "turn your coffee pot off next door", does that tell you how close the sites were. Step out the door and there is your neighbors sewer hose. Would not stay here again.
Best in this area. They only except self-contained units since they do not have restrooms. The Laundry and showers were very clean. Would stay here again and I am sorry that I did not find this nice park sooner. Across the street from the Kenai River w/o all the noise. A new park.
Best by far in Alaska. Dirt road entry from highway but well worth it. Eagles soar all along the creek with mountains on the other side. A perfect setting and only 6 miles from Seward. We stayed for a week and made reservations again for August.
Not the best park but can't beat the location. W/n walking distance of Ship Creek salmon viewing area, Ulu factory, etc. Sites really close together. We would stay here again but I understand they are closing after this season.
Great park for where you are. 7 miles north of the park entrance. A wonderful little restaurant about 2 miles north of the rv park-great bumbleberry pie. Everybody was very friendly and went out of their way to help us. Would stay there again.
The wireless is not longer free. $15/week or $19/month. Lots for grass for dogs to run. We opted for a full h/u site, level gravel sites. Only able to receive 1 TV station, which is the down side to staying here but the best in Wasilla. Good park to commute to Anchorage in. Fred Meyer store was very reasonable for Alaska
