Stopped for an overnight stay but extended for a week. We needed a campground to stay while waiting for a storm to pass and this one is great. Office people are very friendly as are the seasonal residents. Fitness center is well equipped and clean. Cable TV at site but we did not use it. Our rig is 65' long, they accommodated us by parking us across two sites while only charging for one. We will definitely stay here again!

Gave it a "1" because there is no grade lower. Tried to stay here on 1/09/13, but when I went into the office to register, one woman was chatting on the phone and the other shushed me when I asked for a site. Guess they don't want over night clients! Also, we have a 45' Prevost and had difficulty getting out because of a newly erected sign that protrudes into the outbound travel lane. No really big rig friendly. Would definitely avoid this campground!

Not a Resort. Park has gone downhill considerably since we first stayed in Oct 2010. Park no longer has wi-fi because the owners did not pay the bill for the Internet connection. Park is in caretaker status right now because of pending sale, so no maintenance is being done. Pool and spas are closed; no workers to enforce rules. Kids wander the park without supervision, RVs speed and go the wrong way on roads, dog owners do not pick up after their pets. Several abandoned FEMA trailers are on the grounds. RV repair and wash services are closed. I believe this situation is temporary and will try this park again after the change in management.

Rate reflects senior discount. Convenient for seeing the historic sites in Springfield. Camp hosts were knowledgeable and friendly. Gave this campground a bonus star for finding a way to fit our 65' rig! Would definitely return.

Rate reflects the discount for campers over age 62. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings and friendly, knowledgeable hosts made this a 10 star park! Spaces are under tall trees, wide and parking is on pavement. Each site has a concrete picnic table. No park Wi-Fi, but area has a strong Verizon signal. Do not try to camp here over the 7/4 weekend, that weekend sells out in January. We will definitely return!

Campground is actually free, but software requires a price. Free electric hook ups gives this park a 10 rating. It's easy on and off I-90. Restaurant is mediocre but we ate there to say thanks for the free rv park. Gift shop is interesting, and the 50,000 silver dollars mounted in the bar are a must see.

Friendly and accommodating hosts. Large pull through sites, our 65'rig parked with room enough to park our towed car too. WiFi too weak to pick up in our coach. Management over waters the grass, it was squishy and bug infested to the point we could not sit outside and enjoy the weather. Good spot for an overnight stop but not for long stays.

Other reviewers are right, it's a large gravel parking lot. But that means it's very easy to maneuver a big rig. Good strong Wifi, friendly staff, and easy in and out makes a perfect spot for overnighting. We will be back. We are in a 45' motorhome towing a 20' trailer.

Very clean parking lot campground in a convenient location. We were here for a month while concluding some business in the area. Campground hosts are outstanding! Wifi available but did not work for three out of four weeks we were here.

We were going to stay here for a month while on assignment in the local area but the girl at the front desk said we had to take a short spot if we were here more than a few days. Our RV and trailer would not fit in those sites so we left after one day. All sites are cramped, too short and narrow for big rigs to fit comfortably. Some guests had to park with tow vehicle overlapping the street, making maneuvering difficult. Would not stay here again.

Very good overnight campground. Easy access from I-40 and pull through sites large enough for a 45' motorhome towing a 20' car trailer.

Excellent park for overnighting or a short rest! Large, wide, long spots, and all are level. Park has a policy of pay-2-get-3rd-free nights, making the average nightly rate around $13. Nice large pool and large adults only spa at club house. Cafe at check-in lounge served good breakfast and barbecue dinner buffets. Onsite RV wash and carpet cleaning available for a reasonable price. We did not use the RV service center.

Good points: clean 50 amp power, strong and fast WiFi, level sites, convenient location. But the bad points are that there is no control over the dogs. There is no restriction on number or breed of dogs allowed per site, and not every pet owner cleans up behind their dog. While we were here, a man with two large aggressive pit bulls was camped a few sites down. This policy along with the very tight sites can make for an uncomfortable situation.

Beautiful park with lots of activities. We loved the ice cream parlor in the main office. Kids enjoyed the swimming hole. Park has easy access for our 70' rig.

Very pleasant park. Extended our stay here because we liked the peaceful atmosphere. Owner is in the office daily, very friendly and customer oriented. Would highly recommend this park.
