We were put in a site that they said was a pull in and back out of but it was just the opposite. We ended up moving to another site because the cable and the electric didn't work on the first site. Campground interior roads are tight to say the least and every 20 feet there is a speed bump that rocks the coach and with roads that small, the speed bumps don't seem necessary at all. Very tight camp spaces as well. Because they are on the water, and you are surrounded by trees, be prepared for biting insects. Just bring insect repellent and you should be okay.
We stayed here for several days while our coach was being worked on at the dealership. The only thing better than this campground and their personnel would be the service personnel at the dealership. We bought our coach at the Tampa Lazy Days but have to admit the service and the campground in Tucson is a lot better. We live in Tampa but would make the long journey again just to spend time in this wonderful campground. Level, clean, roomy sites.
We stop here almost every year on our way home in Florida. Rate represents Passport America. It is a nice park, especially for a quick over nighter. If you want your satellite, check for a site with fewer trees. We never could get ours, but the cable was good. Office personnel very friendly and helpful. We will stay here again.
Price reflects our Passport America. We stayed 4 nights here and although it is small, we got a site that fit our 40 foot motorhome and our car. Office personnel are very helpful. Sites were well maintained.
We have been here quite a few times while traveling the country. The office personnel are wonderful and getting a free breakfast every morning was truly a nice touch. Free Wi-Fi and cable doesn't hurt either. We got the more expensive sites, but it was well worth it. We have had the cheaper ones in the past and they are difficult to level. Not the case with the premium sites.
We seem to end up at this place every year when we are traveling. Office staff very friendly. There are some permanents, but they don't bother anyone. Nice long, level pull throughs. We would be happy to return to this place.
This is our 3rd or 4th time stopping here while traveling the country. This time we stayed 3 nights. Price is with our Good Sam's card. Sites were level pull-throughs. Office personnel were friendly and helpful.
Office staff were very friendly and helpful. We got a pull through site with easy access. Interior roads are a bit rough, but doable. We were there for just an overnighter and it was perfect for getting off and then on again of I-40. We will stop here again if we are in the area.
We stayed here for a week. WiFi was free but mostly non-existent. Sites were tight. Although they have picnic tables at the sites, you can't really use them as they are sitting on the side of the site which is downhill. Bathrooms are closed for cleaning in the morning when many people are wanting to use them. There are no walkways to bathrooms so people are constantly walking through our campsite to get to them. Office personnel are very helpful and friendly.
We stayed here for 2 nights. It is a little run down older campground, but staff are friendly and helpful. It is walking distance to the Wall Drug store with all the restaurants and gift shops. We are also only a short drive to the Badlands. Only problems with the place is it is right next to a railroad track and the train goes by every morning at 3am and blows the whistle quite a few times. Also, the Wi-Fi was not dependable. The cable TV was very good though.
We stopped here because it is an easy on/off I-90 and it is a Passport America campground. New owners are extremely helpful and friendly. Gave us a nice long pull through with 50 amps. Cable and Wi-Fi are very good and free. Only real concern was the distance between the electric/water hook up and the sewer. Had to keep adjusting where to park coach to reach both. Once we got that figured out, we were fine. There is some noise from the interstate and the railroad tracks, but not so much that we couldn't relax and enjoy the beautiful area. We would definitely return to this campground with the present owners.
This was an easy on, easy off I-90. We were given a nice long pull through and even though it had rained earlier, we had no trouble leveling our coach. Employees were very friendly and helpful. It isn't a fancy resort, but a good place to get off the road and relax for a night or two.
We were even a site that was so unlevel that our front tires were 3 inches off the ground and it still wasn't level. We asked for another site and were given a back up site that we realized later is where people go with their dogs and do not pick up after them. The roads in the campground were full of pot holes and difficult to miss. We only stayed one night Will not be back here.
New owners since April 2013, this place is a great stop over when you are traveling on I-29 in Iowa. We decided to stay 10 nights so we could get through the weekend and the July 4th congestion at other campgrounds. Owners are extremely helpful, sites are wonderfully level and clean, WiFi works great. Very pet friendly. Will definitely come back to this campground when we are traveling.
This was a nice KOA for a traveler. Easy on and off interstate. Staff was friendly and helpful. Of course, it was a KOA so it was expensive for what you get. Cable is an extra charge so we did not opt for it.
Okay, it isn't a resort but for an overnighter, it is perfect. The owner is friendly and very helpful. Our site was level and neat. We were in a 42 footer with a toad and had no problems fitting into the pull-through. Cable was excellent with no problems. Internet was as well. Due to a storm, we are going to stay another night and have no worries about the people here. All are courteous and quiet. I am putting this on my list of good stop overs for our next trip across the USA.
We called and made a reservation. Were told that we could have site 51, but when we got here, we are told that the girl forgot to put it in computer. They then gave us their "last site" with only water and electric. It had rained the last couple of days, and our site was full of water and red clay mud. To get into this site you have to drive into a side street and then back up past 3 other sites. The road is narrow so if you turn wrong and get off this tiny road, you can get stuck in the mud as our neighbor did. The sites are very narrow and short so there is no room for your car. I called the office and left a message to see if they could find us some scrap wood so perhaps we could make a bridge across the mud to get into our coach. They never called back. Site is not level and because of the conditions, we have to keep adjusting our levelers due to sinking. We will never be back. We were on site 39a in the lower level
We stayed here for just one night. Very convenient from I-75 with a nice pull-through. Rate reflects using Good Sam card. Site was level and clean. We have been here before and find it a nice stop over when returning home from trip around the country.
This is our second time, stopping here on our way towards home in Florida. The owners are very helpful and friendly. We were able to get a good pull-through with 50 amp full hook-up. I did not see anything negative about the park. Yes, it has been raining and there are a few pot holes but they are doing the best they can to keep up with it. I don't know what people want for $20 but for a quick overnighter, this place was great. Like to know who their gardener is as the flowers and shrubs are beautiful.
We have been here many times and have yet to be disappointed. We were able to get a site next to a couple of trees. We noticed that they had several workers putting in shrubs and trees while we were there. Be sure to ask for their coupon book to get a few good deals at their casino, such as buy one buffet, get one free.
As said by a previous reviewer, this place is an easy on, easy off campground. Gas Station/Campground/cafe is really a nice place. They advertised that they have Iowa's best burger and we have to admit, they were right.
We were unable to get a site at this campground so they put us in their overflow area across the highway. It is just dirt. We had full hookups and a concrete slab next to the coach with a picnic table. It wasn't real bad but it was full of people who were obviously camping there while they worked on the highway which was being worked on. None of this was their fault, but it made for a very dusty and dirty situation.
This is a great campground. We often stop here on our way home after traveling the USA. This year we decided to stop by before on our way out and will again stop on our way home in a couple of months. Love the huge adult only hot tub pool. Love the staff and exercise room.
This is our second visit at this KOA and we looked forward to coming back. I have seen some of the negative comments and can't understand unless they commented on the wrong campground by mistake. Owners are very gracious and helpful. There is no extra charge for electricity or even pets. I haven't seen any beer bottles or the type of people that some have described. This place is clean, the people are quiet and respectful, and the sites are level and easy to get in and out of.
This is a unique campground as they park you nose to back side in a line. Sites are level and hook up was easy. Cable is okay. Price is a bit high for what you are getting. We just came for a one-nighter on our way home.
We try to stop here every year on our way home from traveling the USA. It is a great place to just relax and enjoy the scenery. They have an amazing adult only pool which is heated with sauna jets. It is sooooo relaxing. Everyone is friendly and the WiFi is very good. Sites are level and area is clean and well-maintained. Price shows Good Sam discount. This place is only an hour drive to Cherokee and it is almost all very scenic. We drove there to go to the Casino and such. Also many restaurants close to CG.
This is pretty much a parking lot. It is okay for an over nighter but there is a lot of noise from I-5. Sites are pretty level and we had no trouble getting in and out. There are a few permanents who are obviously hard working guys who I must admit, were not noisy or bad at all. There is no pool but again this appears to be either for over nighters traveling on I-5 or a few people who live there permanently.
This is always a favorite in this area. Spacious level sites. Right now, it is quiet and peaceful with few campers here but if you want to be here for a holiday like Labor Day, you had better have made reservations early. They pack them in on Holidays. There are a few seasonal permanents but they pretty much have their own little cliche. Close to many stores and restaurants.
This campground was okay. We stayed 3 nights and the sites were level and large enough for our motorhome but just barely fit our toad. Price was a bit high for what we got but that is the nature of the beast. We needed to be in Greeley to visit our son and his family.
This was an okay park. I loved that they were pet friendly and even give us a doggie biscuit for each dog. That being said, I wish their sites were more level. We had to go to Home Depot to buy wood to get our motorhome level. Love the free continental breakfast every morning and the friendliness of the staff.
Campground sites are level but the whole campground is on a hill so there is a lot of walking up and down hills. Dog area is at the bottom of hill and full of rocks and gravel. People are friendly and the manager was very helpful.
Really enjoyed this RV Resort. Very friendly staff and sites were clean and level. It was truly a resort with trams taking campers to the casino. Make sure you get a "players card" at the casino as it will save you a money at their gas station. They also have a nice restaurant at the gas station with good food.
Very nice campground. We were able to drive to Mount St. Helen's and Mount Rainier from this campground. Camp sites were level and clean. Just watch out for the goose droppings. We would camp here again.
This is a great little campground, run by a family that is very friendly and helpful. We stopped for one night on our way back home to Florida but decided to at least extend it by one more night. The pool is closed but I wasn't here for the pool. The sites are more than large enough for our motorhome and toad. The price is more than reasonable. We are finishing off a 10 week vacation around the USA and this is one of our favorite stops due to the staff, the site, and the price. With the economy, people like this are lucky to stay in business and I for one don't want to see anymore of these wonderful Mom & Pop business to die.
This is our 5th time at the campground in 11 years and we have seen it change owners many times. We found it to be pretty much the same as it was last year. Staff still friendly, sites were level and big enough for our MH and toad. Only complaint is those bikes they rent to kids in the campground. They are low riding bikes and even though they put a pole on them with a flag, it is easy to miss them while coming in a big coach. At one point they're were about 15 or 20 of these running all over the park.
This was a quick overnighter off of I-90. I wish we had more time and could have stayed longer as it was a very pleasant little place. They have a wonderful restaurant which also serves as the office for the campground. The food is fantastic and everything is homemade. We had homemade raisin bread, homemade jam, freshly made hash browns and they even cure their own bacon. It was a real delight and I hope we can go there again.
We stopped here as a quick overnight stay off of I-15. Nothing fancy, just a place to park and hook up. For the money, it was perfect for our needs. Easy in and out so that we could continue our journey.
We just needed a place for the night and pulled into this CG. It looks great but when he said $45 for one night in a back in, we were shocked. That is $45 after he put in our Good Sam club number. Our site is small and tight. They advertise Wi-Fi but then he says you have to bring your laptop to the office or stand within 20 feet of the office. You have to take your trash to the dumpster which would be no big deal if it wasn't so expensive. For this much money, they could at least pick up at site. Not friendly and even smirked when DH said that the price was a bit stiff. Couldn't wait to leave.
We stayed in this campground last year and enjoyed it so thought we would come again. Although it is a nice park, I am not sure it is worth $43.98 for weekdays and $45.98 for weekends a night which is what it now costs. We were told that we are getting a special discount as KOA members and doing the weekly rate. Really! $302.06 for a week doesn't feel that special to me. Site was level and shady. Other than the high price, it was an okay campground.
We stayed here for 3 nights and although we had seen some negative remarks here, we thought we would give them a try. They are an easy on, easy off from I-40. I didn't hear all the noise that others remarked about. There are a few permanents here but they are quiet and didn't bother us at all. Overall, it was good for what we paid.
Great spot to camp away from the "strip." Sam's Town has a great casino and buffet right next door, but don't go to the buffet between 10:30 and 11:15 am. That is when the locals come in to get the breakfast price, for lunch and it isn't pleasant. Also, they advertise that you get a great coupon book when you register, but they won't give it to you unless you ask: so make sure you ASK!
This was a very nice campground with easy pull throughs. It's close to Boomtown casino. Easy access from interstate. Only concern was office hours. They close at 4pm which seems kind of early. Constant trucks driving through, to some kind of business in the rear of the campground. Security from Boomtown drives by in a car every 20 minutes but they NEVER look or smile. Too funny.
This is not a park we will be returning to. Very friendly staff but the sites were horrible. Nothing level, dirt roads and very tight hilly turns trying to get in them. Saw many coaches give up and go to office to get money back. Just not worth the damage to a coach.
Really nice "Mom & Pop" place with very friendly owners. Place is well maintained and the breakfast in the office was great. Really enjoyed talking to the woman owner about making bead jewelry. Great place to stop with easy access on and off of I-70.
We have stayed in this campground many times over the years as our daughter and grandson live near by. We have seen it go through 3 different owners and have to admit, we like the last ones the best. Nice campground, close to restaurants and easy access to I-70.
This was an OK campground but some of the "permanent tenents" left a lot to be desired. I could not get into the passenger side of my car during our whole visit here, due to neighbor's piles and piles of dog waste. I finally went to management and they promised to handle it. Other than that, it was a great place to stop just off of I-25. It is next to a RV dealership, restaurant, truckstop and such owned by the same people.
This used to be Mary's Lake Campground which we have stayed at often. Not much to it but it was nice to watch the deer and elk at night walk through between the campsites. Added to the cost is you have to buy a Larimer County Parks car tag which I believe is $20. I got it a little cheaper due to a handicap.
This is a perfect place to stop when on I-75. Easy on and off. We have stopped here many times on way home (FL) from vacations. Only regret is the Truck stop next to this KOA has closed. Used to be good spot to walk over, have breakfast and not have to unhook the toad.
We stayed here for 6 nights and it was fantastic. Love the "adult's only" pool/spa. Sites were large with plenty of space between sites. The only thing that puzzled us, we could not figure out the numbering system for the campsites. We were on site 10, people next to us 16, behind us 1 and in front 543. Other than that it was perfect. Can't wait to return.
All I can say is Wow! We have been wanting to check this campground out for some time but do to circumstances we could not until last week. It is everything we hoped it would be and much more. The landscaping was perfect, the sites huge, the bathrooms clean, and the staff very friendly. We enjoyed "movie night" with the owner. Although, it is in a small town that is the beauty of it. Horse farms not far away with a lot of great scenery. Nice drive to Gainesville. Wonderful restaurants near by. We checked out the Ivy House Restaurant and the Driftwood and are really looking forward to going to Billy Jacks Restaurant next time we visit and there will be a next time.
The place has gone downhill since new owners took over. It is still a nice enough place to stay but not like it was. Staff not as friendly or accommodating. But, it is right new to Old Town and just a short drive to the Theme Parks.
We had stayed at this campground when it was a KOA and although, it was OK then, the new management has made some great changes. Restrooms clean, staff very polite and informative. The campground was well taken care of and a very enjoyable experience.
We were terribly disappointed on our trip to this campground. We had been here before and loved it but this trip was a nightmare. Office was torn apart and unfinished (yes, I know they can't help that) but their attitude in the office seem to match the look. We had made reservations over the Internet and were given a price and confirmation. When we got here, we went in and the office woman told us our site number and that was it. I said can we have a map so we can find it? We were not given a receipt or any paperwork. Driving to our site, we were shocked to see all the golf carts with kids driving and adults driving around on golf carts with open beer bottles hooting and hollering. Our site would have been big enough but person next to us took 5 feet of our site for their motorhome, canopy, boat, and 2 trucks. Spanish music was blaring from 4 different sites so we were surrounded with noise. One man across the street called us over and told us that it is like this every weekend all summer. He said you missed the fireworks last night. More than half of the campground was filled with what appeared to be gypsies: large refrigerator, freezers, and dog houses in most of these sites. No dog waste pick up from any of them, no donuts on their sewer hook up, and the noise was unbearable. Another couple comes over and says they have been coming here for years but never again. Each "gypsy" style campsite has a canopy next to their coach or trailer with privacy mesh wrapped around it. They had their sofas outside and most sites had 10 to 20 people sitting around drinking. We went to the office to to get a receipt and complain, and the office woman said that these people come every summer and are guests just as we are. I told her that this will be our last trip to this "Resort" and her answer was: "Well, goodbye." When we looked at our receipt, we saw where they added $3 per day for "using the resort." As our one neighbor stated, none of us that play by the rules can use any of the resort facilities due to the misuse of their other "guests."
