This is probably one of the best campgrounds in Florida. Level paved sites with modern hookups. The bath house is always very clean. The employees at this campground are always very nice and helpful. The offer a great summer weekend special which makes this campground very affordable. Wi-Fi is not only free but works extremely well. This campground is always clean and well maintained.

For a 30 year old campground, Ft Wilderness is very nice. Disney transportation will take you anywhere you want to go within Disney World (although you may have to transfer between buses and boats and monorails). Bathrooms are very clean. This 30 year old campground does have shortcomings, some of which Disney is addressing: (i) they are adding "for fee" Wi-Fi (which is a travesty - Wi-Fi should be free); (ii) they are improving swimming areas; (iii) they could stand to clear some more trees (the campground is very wooded in some parts). Overall, this is a great campground.

This campground is over rated, however Jekyll Island itself is very nice. This is the only campground on the island so there are no other camping choices. The sites are so close to one another we could literally watch our neighbor's TV from our back window. Also this camp is far too shaded with trees, we didn't get any sun. The sites are gravel and bring in a lot of dirt and debris. There are lots of good biking trails, one nice shopping area with some good restaurants and the turtle farm is fun. The campground is on the far north end of the island, meaning it is a very long bike ride from most of the attractions of the island. You should plan to either have a vehicle with you or rent a "buggy" that is available on the island.

The brochure completely over sells this campground. It is a glorified trailer park with many park models. Very run down campground that does not offer any refund for hurricane evacuations. Beyond the fact that they charge entirely too much for wWi-Fi it does not work. Beach side sites are not very nice and you can not even see the ocean from your site.

New RV resort adjacent to the French Quarter. Campground itself is very nice and clean, surrounding area is not the greatest. All brick paver sites and newer amenities but it is not without its problems. Things that could be fixed: 1. Only 10 channels of cable {no ESPN}; 2. Wi-Fi reception is extremely poor, when it works {not acceptable if you work while you travel}; 3. Shuttle service available only when convenient to the employees; and 4. While some employees are very friendly and helpful others are not.
