Nice park with large sites and plenty of elbow room. Liked the restaurant on grounds in this rural area. Pond was very scenic with lots of ducks, frogs, etc. Used the free Wi-Fi for 2 hours per day and worked great. We liked the no cell phone receptions to allow for a more relaxing weekend. Fishing and sight seeing in area was wonderful. I will be back.
This park is here for one reason, Hat Creek fishing. It is a typical forest service campground, that means great location but no amenities. Just my cup of tea!!! We stay here several times a year to fish, explore and enjoy nature. Bring your own stuff, LIMITED restaurants, fuel and services, but GREAT nature.
Like the location of this park. It's near Dunsmuir for Railroad Days, a creek runs through it, has good fishing nearby and lots of quiet and shade. Dislikes: it's run down and needs attention. Firepits, sites, tables and grounds need effort. A little work would go along way. I may stay here again.
Nice campground with lots of shade and space. We camped over Memorial weekend. Staff started a bonfire at night with marshmallows with smores etc. Played bingo on Saturday. Pool open during very warm weather days but still cool. Kids had fun but too cool for adults. Nice dog run. We stayed in a 22 ft RV and received the small rig discount. Will stay here again.
