Just stayed overnight and did use pool. Staff was very helpful in arranging cab to town. Got a 10% discount for making my reservation online. Easy to get into from I-15 and to leave in AM back to I-15.
In my reservation I asked for a site where I could use my Satellite TV. When I signed in I asked again and young clerk said it was OK. Got set up and my antenna was looking right into some big cottonwoods. Worse, their park cable TV is very limited and I had snow on the CBS channel. There were many open sites that were OK for Satellite TV. It an expensive place, but they seem to have lots of business.
Stayed 2 weeks and this is very overpriced campground. Roads are poor and potholes and standing water in sites. Drainage is non-existent. No rationale for charging resort rates. Not a friendly place, and many different people work there. My brother-in-law and his wife came to check on my wife, who is handicapped and the rude lady in office demanded $5 each and told them they would have to park at entrance and walk in, while there was adequate space in front of my RV. They were flabbergasted and left.
We stayed two nights so we could visit the Eisenhower Presidential Center and Russell Stover Chocolate Factory and some other places. We have stayed at this park a few times over the last 20 years and its very adequate. Sites are not close together and have good view of lake. Very good WiFi. You pick your own site after registering. Noted the store is depleted and not much in there. Very good overnight stop.
OK for an overnight stop. Good cable TV and Wi-Fi. We did eat at their cafe and it was very acceptable. I had ribs and the wife had country fried steak. Very friendly people, but it's on gravel and grass.
Good park: had quick check-in and a nice site. Was easy off / on I-40. Only problem: we had a strong Wifi signal and locked on, but the connection to the Internet was intermittent. When you had it, it was blazing fast but took a lot of patience to get a connection to the Web. Highly recommend. We have stayed at the close-by KOA many times over the last 20 years, but no more.
Small jewel in desert. Its mostly seasonal winter long term stays 55 plus. But they do cater to overnighters and its well worth the stop. Pool is very small. Hosts are very friendly folks. Its easy access from I-40 but far enough away to be quiet. Sites are landscaped so you don't see next person.
I have not been to this park in 5 years, but have camped here since 1990. The new owners have made vast improvements, and this is now a great campground. They have added city water and made the sites much more convenient. Attitude of employees is outstanding. They serve a breakfast, free newspaper, and FREE WiFi! This is a change from the typical KOA which nickles and dimes you to death.
Adequate park for overnight stop. Good Wifi. This was the fastest checkin I have ever experience. Gave her my GoodSam card and I was registered. Paid and drove to site. There is a new Flying J very close by.
This is typical KOA. Lots of campfires and smoke. It was packed even with many people, like in tents per RV site. WiFi was all by unusable. Just a bit usable very early in AM but after forget it. Its expensive, but they have plenty of business.
