The manager is great, and all the ladies in the office are friendly. Very active calendar of activities if you want to participate. They only have one small bathroom in the entire campground. If you are like me and have a fairly small RV and prefer to use the campground's bathhouse, I would not stay here. Each bathroom had only one shower stall which was never clean the entire time I was there. Wi-Fi in the community center plus pool tables and a library. Other than the bathrooms a nice campground.
I thankfully was only passing through and stayed here just one night. Bad cable TV signal with few channels. Wi-Fi was way slower than most campgrounds I’ve stayed at. Have Good Sam discount and I agree with others that $40 for this place is way too high. They have eight unisex showers which can be nice. However, they appear to keep half of them locked to (I assume) save work by not having to clean all eight. If you are going to do that, then you need to at least spot clean the four you leave open more often. Because of that fact, in my opinion the showers were disgusting. Bathrooms were okay overall, but one of the two hand dryers in the men’s bathroom is not working and the other one barely produces any power to actually dry your hands. There were quite a few wood ashes left at my site from a previous camper. The showers did have really good hot water and high pressure, the location is a plus, the store had a good selection, and the people I dealt with were friendly. Need to fix the cable TV and Wi-Fi and tighten up a few things and they’d have a solid campground.
Really enjoyed staying here. Friendly staff, great location, strong Wi-Fi signal unlike many RV parks. Trolley stops right in front of the park, and there is a small grocery store right next door which was convenient. In addition, the bathrooms and showers were extremely clean and the pool is kept spotless.
Solid campground on the quiet side of The Smokies. Friendly staff, clean restrooms and showers. Quiet campground and they are not on the main highway going through town like most the other campgrounds. Good grocery store about a mile away. Personally I wouldn't want to stay on their sites between the office and the road. Traffic on the road and those sites seem tight.
Great customer service and very clean bathrooms, showers, laundry room, and swimming pool. Good location to take in everything Chattanooga has to offer. Lots aren't huge, but they are decent size with most many having trees for shade. Only thing I see that could be better are filling in a few potholes near the entry.
It seemed like I was bother to them when I called asking about an available campsite. The actual check in process confirmed my impression. The park is in a great location with great scenery. However, the bathrooms and shower area was not clean and the size of the showers are a joke. You basically have the shower stall and then maybe two feet of tile to the privacy curtain. No small bench or anything to set your stuff on. Wouldn't stay here again.
The campground is virtually all brand new with brand new facilities, and the bathrooms and showers were nice and clean. Spacious sites with some trees/shrubs between you and your neighbors for decent privacy. Most sites have trees for some shade. Good hiking in the park, especially if the creeks are running with some water so all the listed waterfalls actually have water running over them. Be sure and check out Desoto Falls, the Little River Canyon, and Welsh Caves near Desoto Falls which is one of the most incredible and fascinating things in North America.
Friendly staff. Would have given a higher score if the bathrooms and showers were cleaner. They were fairly large bathhouses and the people "cleaning" them in the morning were in and out in no time. Maybe the budgets are tight at the park so they don't have the labor dollars to clean them better? Anyway, they were pretty bad. The park itself was incredible. Tons of history. Be sure and check out the ironworks museum. Well worth the $2 if you like history.
