Nice park. Great location. Camped in the shaded sites with full hook ups. Upon arrival we were given a book with information of every thing in the whole area. In addition the manager gave us a map which he marked all the sites in the immediate vicinity. This park is on the river about two miles from the ocean with a sand beach and a lookout point were we saw whales. It's a five minute drive to the coastal road with many hiking trails in the redwood forest. A ten minute drive to the 304' redwood and the Roosevelt Elk viewing area. The restrooms and showers were recently remodeled and kept quite clean. We stayed midweek for three days and enjoyed the time we were here.
Large pull-through sites. Electric, sewer, water, Wi-Fi all worked well. Grounds well maintained. Rest rooms and showers very clean. Owner very nice and helpful. The park was very quiet. Don't let the broken sign at the entrance fool you, this is a nice place to stay.
This park is a great place to stay overnight or as a base camp for exploring the Mt. Shasta area. The sites are pull-throughs with plenty of space on the sides. The bathrooms and showers are older but well maintained. Wi-Fi worked well. The owner was very friendly and helpful with directions etc. Some sites shaded. It is close to the freeway but you only hear a slight hum at night. If you like clean and quiet this would be the place.
We arrived at dusk. The person in the office was friendly and led us to our site with his golf cart. I went to plug in the power cord and stepped in a pile of dog crap. I then rushed over to the other side of our trailer to warn my wife but it was to late as she had done the same. I returned to plug the cord in as the trailer next to us opened their door and let their dog run loose. The dog charged me, I shouted at the dog and its owner came out and shouted at me for upsetting his dog. When I left early the next morning there were two other dogs running loose doing their business. I will not stay here again.
It is an older park but well maintained. It is perfect for a one night stop. Full hook ups for $12 a great deal. Everything worked and the restrooms and showers very clean. One half of the park seemed to be long term residents but it was very quiet. There is a small lake with a park across the street.
Very clean. Sites are gravel, level, well spaced with easy access. Water and Electric within a few feet of the pad, some 50 amp. Picnic table and grill at each site. Free Wi-Fi worked well. Centrally located for all attractions in the area. Owner very friendly, knowlegable, helpful but not overbearing. Rest rooms very clean.
