A good campground to overnight. Sites nice and level, water pressure good. Staff friendly, easy park to drive a 40' 5er in. But their WiFi is the worst I have experience ever. I don't understand if you are going to provide WiFi to your customers why not provide one that works. It's very frustrating. Also no cable, box is there but they have disconnected it. Tried our antenna but couldn't pick up a thing.
Rate reflects a 4 month stay. This is a beautiful campground and I would have given them a 10 except they do not supply a picnic table at the site unless you have what they call a 'super site'. At the price of a site, they really should provide a table. We could have put it to good use over the 4 months we were here. Lots and lots of activities happening here with friendly staff and fellow RVers. Big sites, easy to get in/out. Beautifully kept. There is really nothing at all negative about it, except of course for the picnic table. Little thing really, but over the course of 4 months, it's a big thing.
Great little campground for overnight. Easy in and easy out. Nice long, level, pull throughs. Internet adequate, lots of cable channels. We asked where we could get air for our RV tires and the owner brought over his own compressor so we could fill our tires. Very friendly, very nice guy. Would stop again for overnight. Lots of burrs though that bothered our dog, but I think that's common everywhere down here.
Somewhat pricey for this campground. It is clean and tidy, but paid that amount for other KOA's and they were much, much nicer. It is very noisy here as you are right beside, and I mean, RIGHT BESIDE a highway. Doesn't bother us, but I'm sure it would some. The campground occupants were quiet. Found it strange they don't sell propane. We had to find somewhere that sold some and my husband was gone for almost an hour. The back end of this park is a permanent mobile home lot. They are well kept though. Just because of the price I would try and find another campground in the area if we come through again. Other than that we would stay again for an overnight stop.
This is a tired, looks like an x-KOA, campground. The sites could be made more level. The power poles look like they are going to fall over. There was dog poop everywhere. If possible, I'm going to try and find another campground on the way back home. Didn't like this place at all.
It's between a 6 and a 7 rating. We hit this one on the way down and I forgot about it, otherwise we wouldn't have hit it on the way back. People are nice, Wi-Fi works fine, cable is great, no problems with electricity or water. The sites leave a little to be desired. Ours was not exactly level and really not the greatest shape. Roads can be a little tight for the big rigs like ours. Doable but you really have to be careful. If we were to come this way again we would look for another campground.
Great park for on/off I-75. Can be noisy as it's located right beside I-75, but it didn't bother us. It's a little stark looking, but sites are easy in/out and level. Good place for overnighter but really wouldn't want to spend a whole lot of time there.
Rate is for long term stay. This park could have it all, but sadly doesn't. There are 3 distinct sections: 1 for Class A, 1 for mostly owners, 1 for a mix of those plus transients. The pool in the mixed section is not heated, so it is cold, the other 2 in the other sections are heated. Although there is no 'law' that you can't swim in the others, the people in those 2 sections make it clear that they'd rather you didn't. There are a few social activities, bingo, street golf, gator races, etc. But any pot lucks or gatherings they had were arranged by owners, and it was made clear that only owners were welcome. The transients sites need some TLC. Barren, so if you want a picnic table, go find one and good luck with that. Some sites are terribly slanted. New wi-fi was being installed the whole 3 months we were there. Fortunately we had our own mifi. There is cable TV, but it's the basic channels. If I see one more Law and Order I'm going to scream. There are 2 dog parks here, but no water available there to drink. One of them has a pond in it which can get a little scuzzy, and we were told there might be snakes around there. The parks were a good size, but we seldom saw anyone in them. We kept our dog out of them. On the good side, with some work this place could be lovely; there are lots of mature trees around; they do keep it clean. Water pressure was good, electricity was good. It's safe and close to Ocala. Unfortunately, there aren't any other decent campgrounds in the area; believe me, I did look. We would not return which was the statement of others visiting like us.
Price reflects a 3 month stay rate. This is an amazing campground. Their construction is all complete. Washrooms are squeaky clean. Management is super. Other reviews complain about the price but in my books it's worth it. This park is really, really dog friendly. This is our second year here and we will be back.
Price reflects PA discount. Easy on/off to I-65. You can hear the traffic but that doesn't bother us at all. Level sites, friendly staff, great Wi-Fi. Exiting your site can be a little tricky, but doable with care. Would stay again if in the area.
We thought that the campground would probably be very pretty in the summer time. We did find that the turn on the country road was upon you before you knew it. A sign a mile back of the pending turn would be helpful. Also I don't think I would want to camp here if our rig was any bigger. Twist and turns, very tricky, doable, but you must be on your guard. But it was a nice campground and if we were in the area we'd use it again. Warning, do no attempt to find your campsite in the dark.
This is mainly a campground for permanent mostly park model type homes. Although there are lots of non park model permanent homes. There are some transient RV sites available. One of these is where we stayed. They call it a 'resort'..don't think so and they say 4 star..not a chance. The site was so unlevel that even with our jacks down that we felt we were walking up hill for 2 days. The utility pole was almost falling over. There was trash in our fire pit, an empty beer bottle on our site. There was only 30 amp so we had to juggle our electricity input as it was hot and we needed to run both A/C's. There was no Wi-Fi throughout the park, only at the office, no cable. Getting in and out was tricky with our 38 foot rig. I have written a letter to the management. We will NOT be returning.
Couldn't find a thing wrong with this campground. We stayed here for 2 months, and in that time not one complaint. It is kept sparkling clean. Garbage pickup is at your site, all day long til 3 PM. The first site we had was extremely shaded and we wanted some sun. They did everything they could to accommodate us and got us a sunnier site. Close to stores, shopping, and restaurants. There is a small zoo directly behind the park, but we didn't find that a problem. A couple of the sites on the other side, when the wind blew, you could get a zoo smell, but it wasn't bad. Level, concrete sites, lots of room between, lots of trees and bushes. Would stay here again, no problem.
This was a lovely place. Well maintained beautiful park. We had a view of the lake. Good water, electricity and sewer. Very quiet. The site we had was a little tricky to back our 38 foot rig into. And their reservation system and/or payment if you don't have a reservation is really difficult to understand. The directions to the sites could be better marked. I had to get out of the car and run around trying to find out site and the sites are on different tiers of the road. But we would certainly go back. Lovely spot.
This was a good place to stop for one night. The WiFi was weak and sketchy. There was no cable TV or local TV but most sites are open to the sky so if you have a dish you should be ok. We were able to use our dish. The restaurant across the street gives you 10% if you have your KOA receipt. We found the restaurant to be very good. We would stay overnight again.
This is a beautiful campground. Very natural, with a beautiful brook going through it. BUT, the sites are very poorly laid out. Very difficult to figure out what's what. It says big rig friendly, but I would have to say NO. We have a 38 foot rig and we just made it. I spend about 20 minutes in the car driving around trying to find something that we could fit in. WiFi is great as are the hookups. If they would just fix the sites so that you can figure them out. I would not come back here as it was just too hard with our big rig.
This was a lovely campground, so much so that we extended our stay to a second day on our trip south. Completely level sites, shaded areas if you wish. Internet was good, very friendly and accommodating owners. Lovely big fields for dogs to run. Didn't see much to occupy kids, but it was very quiet and we enjoyed that. A little difficult to find but don't follow your GPS, follow the directions on their website. Our GPS took us to a road that had a 10 foot high train trestle. Fortunately, spotted the sign in time and made a detour. Would certainly go back.
We thought this campground was great. Lovely big sites, lots of trees and green spaces, quiet. The sites tended to tilt up at the end. Would have been OK but we were towing and had to pull right to the end to get the toad off the road. But if you didn't have a tow you could have centered yourself in the site and been fine. Kid friendly, clean, would certainly go back. One negative was we couldn't find any road signs directing to the park which is very strange for a KOA. Thankfully we had our GPS.
This was a lovely park. The sites were spacious and you weren't sitting on top of your neighbour. Lots of trees and green spaces. Very kid-friendly place. If you have a satellite ask for a site with fewer trees, but they are nice to be parked under if you don't have a dish. Site was fairly level. The only negative I can say about the place is that directions to get to the sites is poor. Very few markers on the roads directing you, and we had a tough time leaving, again no EXIT markers. I went ahead in the car trying to find a way out. Lots of people there seem to be there for the season.
The owners here are lovely, but the sites really need some updates. We were beside a TT and both of us could not both be doing our hookups at the same time. Very, very tight. Barely was able to get my slides out. Site was a pull through and was supposed to accommodate a rig with a toad. We barely made it, rear end of car was out on the road by a wee bit. Was concerned someone was going to hit us. Sites are not level, we could have pulled forward more, but it dropped down considerably. We were escorted to our site, a nice touch. Has a really nice fenced dog park. We would camp here again though as a 1 night stopover.
An excellent little campground. Not big, but very pleasant. No problems, in and out, it's close to the highway for easy access. No cable TV though, would have been nice, but great internet. Would stay again.
Great campground. Booked for 1 night, but stayed 2, we liked it so much. Has big pull through sites and a community hall for events. Seems to have alot of snowbirds in residence. Escorted to site, always a bonus in my books. Would camp again for a lengthy stay.
This campground is a great campground for families. It wasn't our first choice, but the other campground wasn't offering Wi-Fi which we needed. Although at Ocean Lakes they have free hotspots, we needed Wi-Fi in our rig so we purchased it through their provider. It was the most terrible service I have ever experienced. We had 2 laptops using it (we paid for 2 connections) and both of us had awful connections, even though we were about 100 feet from the access point on the roof of the bath house. Contacted the company and all they did was send me a phone #. Don't recommend you pay for this service if you come here. As for the campground, even though there was really nothing wrong with it, it was way, way too large for us. There is a 10 MPH limit on the roads, but once it starts to fill up there are dozens and dozens of golf carts zipping around and no on seems to impose this limit on them. Walking the dogs was difficult with these things flying around. At first it was nice because there were very few RV's here, but as our visit winded down more and more piled in and people actually had more stuff piled outside their rigs than inside. The sites were starting to look very junky. Didn't even like opening my shades in the morning because my neighbours had so much junk piled up outside their rig. We would stay again overnight if we were passing through, but we would never stay for an extended period as we did this time (4 weeks). Would look for somewhere quieter, and not so big. AND better Wi-Fi as this is a necessity for us. No fault of the campground, after all it is a family campground, and it was kept very clean and great services, i.e. cable TV, phone, garbage pickup, etc.
Lovely campground, clean, well kept. Easy driving with a big rig. In the winter they have a whole front section with heated water lines. Flat, even concrete pads. Will certainly come back in warmer weather.
Now this review is based on a specific time of year, perhaps in the summer it would be different. The road leading into the campground is not very well maintained, and once you got off the main road, the campground road had lots of snow on it. Very tight driving if you have a larger rig. We decided to stay the one night and pulled into one of their pull through spots. All the spots were totally snow covered, some with quite deep snow. We picked one that had the less snow. We got stuck anyway. Took us 1 1/2 hours to get out. The owner is in New Mexico and the manager was in Florida. Fortunately a full timer saw us struggling and arrived with another shovel and more wood planks. Once unstuck we left and headed south to a more desireable campground.
We really liked this campground. Lots of room to walk your dogs. Nice park across the road to roam around in. Site had lots of room. We had a problem with our awning and the owner came over to give us a hand. Didn't use their facilities so can't comment on the state of them. We are going back for a week this fall. Easy to get to from the interstate. Quick walk to the lake, but never did figure out how to actually get on the beach, there's a fence.
Great campground. Close to the beach, 2 blocks. Clean, friendly, has everything you need. We stayed in the sites in the woods which was lovely. We were there for 2 weeks, and have absolutely no complaints. Lots of things for kids to do, a lovely dog park, nice big sites, lots of room for your toad. Level sites. Will be back there for sure. Only downfall is that you can hear the traffic from a nearby road, but it's not unbearable.
We liked this park. Very nice owners, but they close up at around 6PM and if you need anything, there's no one there. The Wi-Fi wasn't working but it worked the other time we were there. OK place to spend a couple days. We'd stay there again. Small lots if you have a fair sized rig.
Owners were very nice and friendly, but the campground is tired. The sites were quite un-level and small. The road to the sites is tricky for RV's and in need of repair. OK place for just passing through, but we won't stay there again.
