We had an ocean front (actually bay front) site and it was well worth it. Wonderful owners and a great little town to walk through. We camped here in January and there were open sites. However, you can tell that if all the sites were full, it would be a bit tight. Great time listening to blue grass music in the clubhouse performed by some of the campers. We plan on staying here again.
Intimate little campground, where you can really get to know your neighbors. Very friendly atmosphere. Lots of live oak trees, right on the beach. Paid more for a beach front site, and it was worth it. Exceptional views. Gravel sites are relatively level. No cable, and satellite is problematic due to the large trees. Campground is older but well maintained. Probably best to use your own restroom and shower. We would definitely stay here again.
This is a true resort. Cement pads and access roads, full service club house, exceptionally clean, security access gates. We had a lake site, which was really nice. A little pricey, but did I say it was exceptionally clean?
A lovely place with a Louisiana country feel. Our site faced the lake so we could watch the herons out the front window. We don't fish but appreciated the view. Gravel sites were relatively level with good separation. We considered extending our stay but the weather didn't cooperate. The rate reflects our Passport discount. We would definitely stay here again.
This was our Coast-to-Coast mistake. We are new to Coast-to-Coast Resorts and assumed there was a certain level of quality maintained. Apparently that's not the case. This "resort" was mainly permanent residents. Many of the RV's were rusted and in poor repair. We had a commercial truck loaded with propane tanks parked next to us. We were planning on staying five nights but left after one, even though it was prepaid. On the positive side, check-in was easy and the utilities worked.
Pro's: Hosts were friendly and the setting with lots of trees was nice. Con's: The park appeared to be mainly for permanent residents. We were the only short-timer there. Site wasn't particularly level (had to put blocks under wheels). We only stayed one night, but I think a Wal-Mart would have sufficed and been a lot cheaper.
A wonderful place to stay. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The campground was protected by security access gates. The sites were roomy with plenty of trees and vegetation. The sites were level. On the other hand, the interior roads were a bit rough and there was puddling on our site from the rain. The rate reflects our Passport discount. I would definitely stay here again.
Large sites with concrete pads that were very level (I didn't have to use the jacks). Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice grassy area behind most of the sites. Overall a very nice place and good value. I would definitely stay here again.
Pro's: Nice location right off I-20, but felt like you were out in the country. Large gravel sites that were mostly level, great separation. Con's: Pretty pricey for what you get. Facilities are limited. No campground personnel on site overnight. I would stay here again but would grumble about the price.
Arrived late afternoon on Saturday for an overnight only. Nobody in office but sign said pick a site. Plenty of room being it is January. Pro's: roomy sites, VERY level (I didn't have to put the jacks down), clean, few trees so easy satellite reception. Con's: water lines were frozen so no water available. I would stay here again, but would be prepared for no water in winter.
