A very nice park: clean, reasonably priced and a helpful staff. The grounds were pleasing to the eye and the sites are very generous in space. I had the misfortune of my power converter failing and going without 12V the first night: the staff directed me to an RV dealer in the area. The dealer not only took care of my needs, they gave me a very nice discount because the campground referred me. Free coffee and Internet access at the office was a nice opportunity to get some things done. I give this park a (9). I would have liked it better if the Wi-Fi had covered the entire campground. The other thing was the outer gate. I do believe for good security one should close it at night. It seems to me that it looses the point when being unlocked: anyone can enter so it becomes somewhat of a nuisance and a bluff to would be intruders. If the gate is used, provide guests with security cards to activate the outer gate at night electrically. (I work in this business, the cost for such a system is reasonably priced). I think this would be a plus to promoting this campground.

We camped here for Labor Day weekend, I was very impressed with this place. There is more to do here than time allows!! their web site tells a lot about that. Very family structured and well maintained park. I very rarely give a 10 but honestly, there was nothing negitive I could find regarding Smokey Hollow. Yes it was crowded (Holiday Weekend) but no waiting for anything! Staff was excellent, a real class act! Staff even left at each campsite, a DVD of the weekend festivities. pic's and video clips for the guests upon departure. SOMETHING OTHER CAMPGROUND NEVER DO. pleasing the guest is paramount in this park!!!! As for the seasonals, they are mostly in the back area of the park. easy walk from campsites to the facilities. Smokey Hollow highly recommended!!

This was a great CG that was recommended by some friends of ours (a real 10 indeed!). We stayed in the Ranch Camp area that was perfect for tent trailers, a little far from the pool but not bad. Our spot was a shady site and afforded plenty of room and the bath/shower house was VERY CLEAN. The staff, very accommodating and helpful always took the time to put the guest first. With no cell service, I was unable to call home to report a safe arrival, the office let me use their phone for this purpose. The pool and hot tub were great and the store was well stocked. The only negative is if you need to use the phone bring a phone card. The pay phone was $7.00 (in change) for the first 3 min. to Chicago then the shirt off your back after that! (THIS IS NOT A NEGATIVE TO THE CAMPGROUND, just a rating of 1 for the telephone utility). I will definitely use this campground in the future as a base for enjoying the Black Hills. Be sure to see Crazy Horse, this was a great attraction and there is a Lakota flea market there to buy actual Native American items hand made on the reservation.

This was a nice campground and the scenery was magnificent! the sites are rather short (even for a tent trailer) but worked out ok. The place was clean and the staff was very pleasant. Although small, the pool (the only one in the area) does offer a refreshing break after a hot dusty drive in the desert. I will come back to the area again to explore Canyonlands and use this park as a base to operate from. the light from the sunsets and sun rises that dance off the rocks was a sight to see. For the price, this place is a good deal.

THIS WAS THE BEST RV RESORT I have ever been to! Everything about this place far exceeded my expectations. A real class act in more ways than one. We were the only tent trailer in the park and at first, I was bit reluctant to stay here with all the big motorhomes. However after the first day our neighbors (all around) welcomed us as if we were part of the motorhome group also. This was something I (and my son) will not forget: the fantastic people we have met in our travels. This, I am proud to say is something extra that this campground has to offer [my first "10"].

The park was clean and the staff very nice. The pool was very clean and refreshing. I got a great nights sleep as the campground was very quiet at night. There are fun family themed things to do here and the place was like a oasis across the expanse of Nebraska. Do stop here if not just overnight but for a few days after that. the only thing that kept me from giving a 10 was that the lighting in the pool area and in the office/store/shower area was non existent after dark. Maybe I should have brought a flashlight. All in all, this campground was a great place and I will come back again!!!

This was a very nice park and the staff was very accommodating. lots of room and the pool was good. They have a restaurant here and the BBQ ribs are fantastic! (Delivered to your site. ) Did not get a chance to see the area as we were just here overnight heading back east. The roads are not paved, but were in good shape. The store was well stocked and the facilities clean. This place is a good bargain!

The View was absolutely awesome but the sites were very tight (even for a Pop-up.) Our neighbors were very friendly and a bit close (in the geographical sense) The Staff was absolutely RUDE and obnoxious and lacked the hospitality any host would need. The staff were yelling at children playing outside saying ridiculous things to them. However, My time visiting Los Angeles was great and far overshadowed this campground. I would never return to this campground and I am sorry to say that after camping in 20 states so far, this was the only negative place that I have been too. I hope the last!
