We knew we were in a great campground as soon as we met the workers in the office. They were incredibly accommodating, even to the point of carrying ice to our RV while I was registering. A very inexpensive dinner was prepared for guests at the community room and it was good. The park was neat and clean and very well maintained. It is worthy of a trip back for an extended stay.
We parked our motor home on grass. The office was not always attended. It seems as though only one person was staffing the park. The camp store was not well supplied. The owner/manager was somewhat aloof. If we travel through this area again, we will seek other accommodations.
Located well off any major highway, we were impressed with the rustic nature of this campground. Though rustic, with lots of trees and beautiful mountain views, our site contained all the amenities we needed. The campground was clean and well attended. Showers, restrooms and laundry were always spotless. David, the owner was always gracious and accommodating. Mountaindale is located about a 20 minute drive from most of the great attractions in the Colorado Springs area. Would we visit here again? You bet!
