What a beautiful park this is! We really enjoyed our stay here and loved walking around the picturesque woods and checking out the lake. No WiFi to speak of and AT&T internet and phone were useless. We had to use our Verizon internet and phone while here and those didn't work so well either. The cable is maybe 12 channels but you don't usually see cable at a state park anyways. They had just opened the renovated bathrooms while we were there and everything was clean and worked good. We would return if in the area again.

This is a very hard park to rate. The rates are alot higher than other parks in the area and the advertised "beach" area is nothing more than some junky sand leading up to a rock wall on the sound side. This RV park is not on the ocean like you are led to believe it is and there's no way to swim in the water without first going off a short dock. The rock wall makes it impossible to enjoy the water and I was disappointed that to kayak, I had to drag my kayak over to the dock and then do some fancy balancing to get in and out of it from the wood dock. The price is a big one. This place easily charges double for a monthly rate and so much more than that for weekly and nightly rates than other RV parks in the area. When I arrived, I specifically asked if we could get a partial refund if we have to leave early. The nature of our work often only gives us 48 hours to pick up and get to another area. I was assured that the owner would work with us but when the situation arose, I made several phone calls and kept getting the run-around that the manager wasn't in that day to take care of it. Another issue is the extremely loud bands and bars surrounding the park. On one hand its nice that you can walk to restaurants and shops nearby but the amount of noise you deal with several nights a week until the wee hours of the morning make the location a negative one. We paid extra for a waterfront site (thinking that we were on the ocean and had direct access for our kayaks) and we found that the concrete pads were setup for motorhomes and not so much for fifth-wheels and trailers. The small pad poured for where a door on a fifth-wheel or trailer would land was separated by a foot from the main pad the RV is parked on. So I rolled my ankle several times coming out the door and slipping off the parking pad, into the grass between the parking pad and picnic pad. But for the pad that's situated for a motorhome, they put some nice stone blocks in between this gap. Why hasn't that been done here? 2 shower/bathrooms for this park mean that you can never get into one. I tried a few times and they were either both in use, or one was in use and the other was closed for maintenance. I never did get to see if they were clean, etc. Overall, its a pretty park and the proximity to the beach is nice but I wouldn't stay here again. I would rather be down a littler further out at Navarre beach and pay half as much, not have noisy weekends and be able to walk from sand into water.

We stayed in what was considered the "premium" area where the sites were spaced a little better and have a new concrete pad. Rig and truck parked on grass but this wasn't really an issue, and the site was fairly level. No view of the water from these sites, but the sites that are on the water were smaller and closer together. The older part of the campground was also closer together and a lot of the concrete pads were broken and falling apart. Wi-fi was decent and worked most of the time, decent array of cable channels, clean laundry room, clean pool, nice fenced in dog walk area. The park has a nice wood dock and a boat ramp to get into the water, pretty sunset views and good location to Marathon for groceries and restaurants. In general I didn't like the Marathon area, but I did like that this RV park is so close to several beach areas for swimming and kayaking. Cocoa Plum was just right down the road and allows dogs on the beach. Sombrero beach wasn't too far, and we found some great mangrove trails from there for kayaking. Also not too far from the Bahia Honda State Park. Overall I enjoyed my stay at the park and would go back there again if in the area.

What a wonderful find! This small RV park has only 11 spots available for rent, and the family that runs it is awesome! Beautiful setting on the water with a dock to fish off of or watch the dolphins and manatee as well as free use of a couple of kayaks to paddle around the canals and mangroves. The owners are continually making improvements to this place, and right before we got there they put in a FREE washer and dryer. Large community building setup with a projector that we made use of on several occasions! Outdoor area has tiki bars, a great fire pit, palm trees, beautiful dolphin sculpture. I really enjoyed this place, and the town it's in is the icing on the cake. You can walk to various local shops and restaurants, and the county park is right next door for those that like to walk or run for exercise. There are many great beaches nearby, and if you want a free pretty beach to spend the day on, head towards Sanibel island, and while on the bridge there, pull off on either side in one of the many free parking areas before you come to the toll. We got very spoiled staying here and hope to make it back again soon!

Very pretty county park with an RV park that looks like it was an afterthought. Roads are really narrow and windy, spots are short and the layout of the RV area makes for a very open, unprivate environment. We could only get water/electric hookup so had to shower in the bathrooms. Good water pressure but if more than one person was showering then the hot water ran out quick! Spiders and cobwebs up above made for a quick shower as well! Overall, an average park but the good rates made it worthwhile. Good proximity to Universal Studios and Epcot.

I love this park! Over 600 acres of property with walking paths, playgrounds, fishing dock, swing chairs, splash park and a dog park. The staff are all friendly and helpful, our spot was pretty level, large with lots of trees and plants for privacy and all hookups worked great. What a beautiful place to stay in while visiting the Charleston area and its so close to everything. No cable hookups but antenna picked up several channels and internet is spotty but who needs internet when there's so much wonderful nature here to see? I will definitely be back here!

Beautiful, well-appointed, well-managed park. Such wonderful mountain views and its so quiet here in the middle of the forest! Laundry and bathroom facilities are clean and very nice. Great Wi-Fi, water pressure, cable, hookup locations, big sites. Love this place and will definitely return! Only downside is the scary roads coming in and out but we managed with our 36 foot fifth wheel.

This is one of those parks that could be a real gem if it wasn't full of full-timers with rundown trailers and barking dogs. There are new managers recently as of september, and they are working to clean the place up. Very friendly folks. The area isn't a vacation destination, so I imagine that parks in this area have to allow full-timers in order to make a living. However, having some rules in place and enforcing them would make things better. Pros: Close to main highway, good water pressure, long spots with plenty of room on the sides, pretty creek running through park. Cons: Busy road right next to park, full-timers with rundown trailers and barking dogs, our power surge protector was constantly flashing red letting us know that the power source wasn't steady, dirt spots and very muddy due to recent rain. I think the new managers are on the right track with this campground, but I don't know if they plan on cleaning up the clientele of the park at all. It worked for a couple nights stay so we could go into DC for a day.

There's not many parks in New Jersey, especially open in the winter time, But the owner kept his park open this winter due to all of the workers there for Hurricane Sandy. Pros: Close to many major roads and highways, lots of shops nearby, good electric hookup, good sewer hookup, water not off-colored or funny tasting, decent Wi-Fi, decent sized spots, couple of lakes and plenty of grass for walking dogs. Cons: Low water pressure, dirt spots so very muddy when it rains, laundry & restrooms were closed because it was winter, no cable. This is really a decent park for what it is. Not really a vacation destination area or a resort park but perfect for our needs. The person running it now is the son of the lady that was running it previously that others posted about. She has recently passed away. In the warmer months, several other ladies help in the office and everyone was always available when we needed them even on Christmas day when my parents in another spot had an issue with their electrical hookup. All in all a great place to stay if you need to be in this area.

This park could be so much better if they would change out the management and give refunds for certain situations. We paid for a month and got called out to work unexpectedly after only being there 2 weeks. Management refused a refund and also wouldn't even offer a credit so we could come back and camp there when we come back into town. On top of that, they were rude and told us that they had to sacrifice to give us monthly spots. The place was only half full during our entire stay. The good: * Good location * Decent sites * Nice walking area up the side of the mountain * Nice laundry area The bad: * Rude management * No refunds under any circumstances * Extra fees for EVERYTHING (dogs, kids, visitors, extra vehicles) * Wi-Fi was worse than dial-up * Very noisy next to highway, industrial business and biker bar The other park in golden was completely full despite being much smaller and in a less convenient location but people prefer to go there because of the friendly staff and better rates. Dakota ridge could be packed year round if they brought in friendlier staff and started treating customers better instead of making them feel like a nuisance. Also, the extra fees for everything made rates so much higher than anywhere else I've stayed and to top it off, they charge taxes on everything which I've never experienced before.

Great park with pretty grounds and friendly staff in a convenient location near the highway. They are slowly making this place better and better and I really appreciated the fenced in dog run area. The good: * Fenced in dog run * Lots of cable channels * Friendly Staff * Great Location * Propane for sale on grounds * Nice laundry areas * Decent showers The bad: * Wi-Fi is really slow * Highway noise (but not any worse than I've experienced in other places) If you're looking for a nice, family friendly park while visiting the Richmond area, definitely give this park a look!

Really enjoyed staying at this park. Close to theaters, restaurants, malls, grocery and nice bike path right outside entrance that follows the river. This is a mobile home park with rv lots dispersed throughout so the lots are larger than the usual rv park with lots of trees and well kept roads. The ladies working the front desk were so accommodating and pleasant but i found out when we left that they were being let go and replaced with new management. Shame on the owner for this! The monthly rate was 509 and included electric, very reasonable. Train does go through park and a large company is located on one side of the park and can be noisy at times but not as bad as some "resorts" that we've stayed at.

Pros: great location next to highways, grassy and treed lots, nice pool, large sites, decent Wi-Fi, good cable channels Cons: lots of road noise, not enough washers/dryers. We really enjoyed this park and will definitely stay here again when in the area next. Staff at the front desk took such great care of us and we loved our big, shaded spots. This is a really nice park, so-o-o-o-o much better than others in the area! We got used to the road noise and it was a decent trade-off for the convenience of the highway access.

Beautiful park to stay in if you're looking for lots of water fun and great paved trails for biking, rollerblading, etc. We love this park, but don't like that you can only stay here two weeks. We were in loop D which is the newest loop so the spots are level concrete with great picnic tables and fire pits. The bathrooms and laundry areas are excellent. Only downside is the proximity to the air park. Every morning really early we were awakened by an aircraft buzzing up above.

This is a really great campground to stay in if you're looking for some peace and quiet, mountain views and lots of hiking trails. The campground does have 5 full hookup spots but 3 of them are usually used by the hosts. We were able to get one of the full hookup sites and it made our stay very convenient. The park is on the mountainside so the roads are dirt and a little steep and curvy in areas but we saw some really big rigs come and go without an issue. The hosts were awesome and the bathrooms were kept very clean.

Our stay was very enjoyable. Being right next to a walking path along the river was perfect and the campground is within walking distance to downtown golden. Sites are small and our awning couldn't open because of a really close tree, but most people staying here were very courteous and respectful of the small space. Laundry area is clean and all machines were always in working order. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. October through May is when monthly rentals are allowed and I sure do wish they allowed it year round. Monthly rate of $635 during that time included electric and was a great deal compared to other rates in the area. Maybe not the best park for families if your intention is to have a lot of outdoor activities for the kids readily available. But perfect if you're just here to visit the town of golden and other local spots. We've really enjoyed our stay here and will be back next winter if we are in town.

Very beautiful campground with lots of trees, walking trails, picnic areas, couple of lakes, swimming area and a nice playground. Our site had 30 or 50 amp hookup and water. Dump stations were nice and easily accessible. Campground bathrooms and showers were decent quarter pay. Lots of space between campsites and plenty of room for a large fifth wheel and vehicle parking.

Very nice campground overall. Staff was pleasant and helpful, laundry area was nice but I didn't venture to the bathrooms or the pool area. Mixture of paved and gravel roads, and mix of paved, gravel and grass sites. We didn't have any issues with any of our hook-ups and in general found the campground to be quiet and a nice play to stay.
