Nice place, but not our type of campground. We prefer more spacious wooded sites. The place was neat and clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Very pet friendly which was a plus. What we didn't like was the sites. Stacked on top of each other. We had an end site that was better than others although it was a hill and we sat at an angle. Some sites looked so crammed that the fire pit was useless unless it was just ornamental. If you want a front row seat by your fire watching people use the dump station right in front of you, our site was perfect. I wasn't fond of it with my morning coffee. Probably check out other places if returning.
Not very impressed. Reserved late for holiday w/e so we got last site avail which was decent size, full hookup, level, clean, and a little shade. Sandwiched between 2 seasonals in an open area and in front of pool. Pros: friendly staff, surprisingly very quiet. Camp store and Deli was nice. Cons: pool was a bit dirty and looked messy with mismatched plastic chairs and people hanging out and smoking. Felt like someone's private area. Bathrooms needed cleaning and updating. Some of the seasonals looked a bit run down. Sites were right on top of each other. While I didn't care for this place, it wasn't all that bad. Not our type of place. Not that hard to find. Cross bridge, see Shell, take first entrance, stay to right and go down the unmarked dirt road.
We found this campground to be quite nice and enjoyable. Staff was very friendly, grounds looked nice and cared for, sites were pretty clean, and most seasonal sites looked real nice. The pool was large and they had karaoke and a DJ and other stuff for the kids plus a raffle that we missed by 1 number. Negatives-pool shower was dirty. That's all we found. Also the kids entertainment went to 10:30-11pm if you wanted to turn in early. We will return. Stop by Zips on 101 on your way!
We read the reviews, good and bad, and wanted to judge for ourselves and we'd have to side with the poorer ratings. The seasonal sites were really run down and cobbled together. The site we were directed to was basically an open field surrounded by a small stream. I did see some really nice wooded sites that would have been great instead of the plain field but weren't offered and weren't used. No sewer hookup for any of these sites. For an overnight stay, it would be fine, but for us it didn't work. The kids were bored (game room was a joke), and the scenery wasn't nice enough to walk around.
Very nice campground although not much available for the kids as far as the game room or the little lake at the campground. Some sites were small and a bit cramped but the grounds were kept very clean and maintained. Campground was quiet and there were some very nice looking sites along the river but unfortunately not full hookup sites. Would camp here again.
