Good place to stay overnight; cheap. Just electric and water. There is a dump station. Route beside campground is busy until after dark, but got quiet after that. Lots of trucks, but didn't bother us. Lots of sites to pick from. Manager very, very helpful. Not much in the area. We will stay here again if in the area.
Good place for a overnight stay or longer. It is very easy to find from the freeway. All sites are pull through. Sites could be wider but still good. Used our Passport American. We will stay here again. Everyone very friendly and helpful.
Very nice campground. Price is Passport American. Good place to stay for an overnight. Only 5 miles out of town and a easy drive. I would stay here again, as we pass through, even if it isn't a Passport American. Very friend staff. They led us to our site, which we like. Good sized lots.
Just by chance we drove into Southern Oaks to check on camping. (The information we got from the big camping business next door was not what we wanted to hear.) We needed somewhere to stay. We found out they had a repair man at Southern Oaks. Decided to have our work done there. What a positive experience. The park is nicely laid out with grass lots of good size. Everyone was very friendly. The manager’s husband was able to install a new refrigerator for us, and his wife worked with our insurance company for payment. He is a RV repair person. They treated us with respect and were able to get us on the road again. I will stay here again if in the area.
This price cited is the Passport America rate. DirecTV works well there. Pot luck was more than good. We would stay there again. Sites were all pull-throughs. Some a little tight, but not bad. Good place near the freeway, but noise was not a problem. Yes, we will go back and stay there again as we pass though. Owners are friendly and hard working.
This is a nice, nice park. The owners go out of their way to help with what ever you might need. They also take you to your site. The trees are very tall, but still provide shade on lots of the sites. They supply free firewood. The sites were almost level and there was lots of space. Long pull-thoughs, with more than enough room. Hot tub was clean and hot. Pool and hot tub was enclosed. We didn't use the pool but it looked clean. Very clean restrooms and showers. We will go back when we travel though again.
Lots of RV's that have been there for years and most are OK. Most of the place is very good. Parked on sand, not much grass. Paid by the week $185.00. Good place to stop while traveling. We would stop again. Quiet.
Not the best and not the worst place we have camped. There is a section for over night and they are all pull through sites. A few RV's have been there a long time. The town is well worth checking out. Many shops and places to tour. Not many people in our section. Gravel pads. Could not get a list of TV stations when we asked at the office. They didn't know. This is just a OK place for 3 or 4 nights as you travel.
This is a great park, with nice sized lots. People who live there are really friendly. The only reason I gave it a 8, is there is no Passport America price as the book says. They have a "club price" and it is the same no matter who you belong to. Why have PP America? All the stores are in Arcadia. With that all said, we liked the park and would stay there again.
We would come back here again. The only down side to the park, is the narrow streets. We didn't have any problems backing into our site, but you might want to check ahead. We paid by the week. Pancake breakfast was outstanding for $3. This is a older, well maintained, and very clean park. They only reason I gave it an 8 is the narrow streets.
There is a train track near by with lots of trains. There are trees by the back fence and lots of shade in the afternoon. The price is right and lots to do in the area. We would stay here again. The office was more than prepared with information about the area. Wonderful job, putting together a folder of info. We used it all the time. Friendly place to stay with full hookups.
No one available for week end check in. They sold our spot to someone else and we had to go to another spot and move again the next day. We paid in October but why sell our spot out from under us?? Manager would not come, even though a worker called him. They come up with different prices when asked, because we decided to stay another week since we were all set up. They are not all on the same page in the office. Roads are mostly too small for backing in the spots, and very hard to turn corners inside the park. Backing in was terrible. Residents in the park were very nice but said this stuff happens lots. Many activities in the park. The size of the spots were OK, but getting on the site was very difficult. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE.
We would stay here over and over. Sites are large but many have trees with low hanging limbs. Camp sites are long with lots of trees between them. Loved this campground. We stayed a week, so can't tell you the exact price for a night.
We stayed two weeks and paid a weekly rate. Got better rate the second week. Owner VERY friendly and helpful. I understand this place was a dump before, but NOT now. I would come back to this place. 99% of sites are easy to get into. We had a back in site.
This campground is close to Route 75, so you hear the noise all the time. We had a back in and it was OK. We have stayed here before. Do not get in the back row, as the bugs are there. Better by the lake. Friendly place with lots to do and close to everything. We would stay here again. We paid a weekly rate.
Very clean restrooms and showers. Friendly people. Most things to do, are a long drive. Out in the country and quiet. Food at Rocky's was very good. It is a gas station with lots of stuff and food. Long sites with trees.
Park had clean, old showers with tons of pressure. Now that KOA has taken over, it might get cleaned up. OK for one or two night. Valdosta is a nice town with good food and Agra center museum. Junk around the permanent campers. Most pull through sites are OK.
