Rate based on monthly as we stayed here 10 weeks. Very friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful park very conveniently located to many restaurants, shopping, and attractions. (The Naval Air Museum takes more than one day to do.) A little more expensive than we're used to but power was included in the rate. Large level sites, modern utilities, modern laundry was clean and air conditioned, entire park was well-maintained and beautified (flowers) and many sites were shaded.

We wanted to stay here because it was located conveniently for an overnight stop and because it was advertised as PPA, but we had to haggle to get any discount. There's no way it was worth $40 for just an overnight stay. Tthe utilities were primitive, the cable TV connection was dead, the site was not level, and there was no one on-site to give us direction or answer questions. The "feel" of the park was haphazard residential rather than RV. It served the purpose but we would not stay there again.

Conveniently located for an overnight stop. The pull-through sites stacked up behind each other, though, so getting there first would be important if you wanted to leave early. The attendant was busy with yard work and left us feeling a little less than welcome, like we were imposing. We had stayed here several years ago, when the atmosphere was friendly and inviting: don't know if we would again.

Our 2nd time staying at this park because of its amenities and convenient location. Everyone else must think so too because they fill up fast -- call ahead for a reservation. Level sites, modern hookups, clean and modern laundry. We will stay here whenever we're in the area.

Perfectly described by its name. Just ¾ of a mile off the highway, it felt remote, and was peaceful and quiet. Nice, clean laundry, friendly & helpful staff. No WiFi but Verizon MiFi connected at 4G.

A multi-level park, as gorgeous as you'd expect for the location. More expensive than expected because they were hosting an antique car show with live entertainment we didn't know (or care) about. A beautiful park, with perfectly level sites, modern hookups, a gazillion cable channels, and free Wi-Fi.

Beautiful, woodsy, peacocks, walking trail along river, good overnight PPA park. Layout was confusing but office was helpful.

Big, new, beautiful park w/complementary continental breakfast. Their free cable TV was via satellite, though, and was off the air due to a vicious thunderstorm. Great overnight stop, right off the highway but quiet, and a PPA discount!

A nice, small-town park. Good for a brief stay (we stayed two nights) but too remote from major shopping for an extended stay. Nice trees, deer, friendly staff. We would stay here again.

Beautiful, quiet park beside a tranquil river. Easy in-and-out, large sites. Very friendly, helpful staff. Affiliated with KOA in Van Horn and accepted their discount coupon.

A nice, quiet surprise away from the highway. Very friendly, helpful staff. Gave us a discount coupon for an affiliated park (which we were able to use). Everything you expect from a KOA except a high price. This is definitely our go-to park for future transits through the area.

A great little park for our overnight needs, near the east end of town. Friendly, helpful staff. Easy in-and-out. We make a point of staying at this park each time we pass through this area.

Rate based on monthly, electric extra. We've stayed here before and will again. Very well maintained with actual grass in the desert. Staff friendly and very helpful. Easy access to shopping and restaurants. Most sites shaded, excellent power and Wi-Fi, big library.

Relatively new owners, RVers themselves, have upgraded the park to a beautiful state, and are some of the nicest, most friendly and helpful folks we've ever met. Grass pull-throughs or gravel back-ins, some shaded, all nicely landscaped and maintained. Very nice laundry and huge DVD and VCR tape lending library. This will be the place to stay whenever we're in the area (major wineries to explore) or passing through. All this and PPA rates too.

Rate based on monthly, electric extra after 400KWH. We chose a site in the adjacent MH park because it was much larger than in the RV park, but it didn't come with cable TV or Wi-Fi. We considered it a fair trade-off. The park itself was western-themed and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient to shopping, restaurants, and exploring the area, surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges, still snow-capped in June. We'll be back.

We stayed 4 nights in this perfectly beautiful park and would stay here again if ever back in the area. Good, full power, fast Wi-Fi, even OTA TV from across the river. Quite tasty "Bozo Burger" just outside the park. Very well groomed and maintained park atmosphere. It has a14-day limit, though.

Beautiful little park in a rural/farming setting, but only 2 miles from town of Madras where all amenities were available. Very friendly, personable staff. Good electric (at very low rate), fast Wi-Fi, low-cost propane in park. Beautifully landscaped and maintained. And ideally located for exploring the area, from Mt. Hood in one direction to the John Day Fossils in another, and the Three Sisters in a third.

Rate based on 3rd night free. The park is in a beautiful setting, but there is more for golfers than RVers. Our site was littered with construction debris. The laundry needed to be cleaned before it could be used so we didn't go near the bathrooms. With all the other options available in the area, we won't be returning here.

Nicely placed oasis in the desert for an overnight while passing through. Easy in and out, reasonably priced. We would stay here again.

A beautiful oasis in the desert for overnight or long term. Friendly, helpful staff, delicious on-site food concession. The most reasonable rates of any KOA we've ever stayed in; great value for the dollar. Definitely would stay here again any time passing through.

Our rating would have been a 10 based on all the people and activities, but it lost points due to the inadequate power and wi-fi. People are not supposed to use electric heaters because the system isn't built to handle them, but they do anyway because it's not metered. We lost power 3 times due to system overload. And while there are multiple wi-fi hotspots, they are also overloaded most of the time. Regardless, we'll go back again next winter to a different part of the park, hoping for better services.

The previous, very negative review, is total slander, especially the malicious remarks about smoking weed and drinking. We were here when they were. We came to stay for a month and instead are staying for the whole summer because of how considerate and friendly our hosts ARE. You get respect when you are respectful: of your hosts, the park rules, and your neighbors, and we were quite happy to see this disrespectful crowd leave. An additional, unexpected plus: the owners host 2-3 potlucks per month where we all get to meet new friends. If you stay for more than a few days, you can feel the "family" atmosphere. (That is, unless you try to treat this beautiful RV Park like a white-trash, no rules, no respect campground.)

We stayed here for a month. The park was clean and well-groomed, office staff friendly and very helpful. Roomy sites, quiet, within walking distance to shopping & restaurants. Nicely shaded but be selective if you need satellite. Very convenient to St. George in one direction and Zion Nat'l Park in the other.

A little out of the way but well worth it, even for just overnight. Very friendly, helpful owner/staff. Beautiful, quiet setting. We would stay here again.

Nice, quiet, overnight stop on the way to Tucson without the big-city hassle. This was more of a snowbird park with more park models than RVs, and was clean, well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

Quiet, even though near the highway. Clean, well-groomed, friendly owners/staff. This was our 3rd visit (we stayed monthly twice before) and is a great base-camp for exploring the area. We always try to stay here when in the area or passing through.

Beautiful, modern buildings, and shaded sites. Coming into its own as a snowbird park. Great location between St. George and Zion Nat'l Park. Great base for exploring the whole region. We stayed here one month and would definitely return. Electric (by the month) was 10¢/kwh extra, and they don't take credit cards.

Friendly/helpful staff; wide, shaded sites, quiet. We stayed here one month exploring the surrounding towns, parks, and features. Electric was extra but only 10¢/kwh. No credit cards. If it weren't for their even nicer sister-park in Hurricane, we would stay here again.

A very nice, manicured RV park, just across the street from a lake. Very friendly/helpful staff. A convenient base from which to explore the surrounding forests roads and trails. We stayed there 8 days and would stay there again.

Best feature was proximity to ocean beach and a couple of small beach towns. Worst feature was crowded, narrow sites. The staff was friendly and entertaining.

A good overnight stop from which to tour Whitehorse. We stayed here going to, and coming from, Alaska. Very friendly staff, and they give a 3¢/liter discount on gas. We would stay here again.

Beautiful, shaded, lakeside view of wildlife. The fastest, most responsive Wi-Fi we've had the whole trip, but the most expensive gas (and laundry?) as well. A really nice overnight stop, and we would stay here again.

Beautiful multi-level campground analogous to a US Forest Service campground, but with full hookups. They advertised free Wi-Fi and on-site restaurant, but Wi-Fi was extra cost and only available in motel, and restaurant was unbelievably expensive. We stayed there 3 nights thinking it was most convenient to visiting both Banff and Jasper, but we know better now and probably would not stay there again.

We stayed here one month for $350 (includes power). Very friendly staff, free large breakfast (in season, in on-site cafe). Very scenic base camp, great location for exploring beautiful surroundings, from Craters of the Moon to EBR-1 nuclear power plant museum. Relatively convenient to both Idaho Falls and Pocatello. This was our first visit but we would definitely return.

We stayed 1 month for $275. They have propane, a nice laundry, well-stocked store, friendly owners on-site, fenced dog-run. Discount coupons for nearby major travel plaza. Good base camp for exploring the area (including Hualapai Mountain).

All sites are shaded by tall, mostly tall Cottonwood trees. Several sites have a creek flowing behind them. It's peaceful, very relaxing and welcoming here. Children are allowed, but there is no play area, which would be needed for longer stays. The owners are very caring and want your stay to be enjoyable. They are very knowledgeable about what's available in Cedaredge, along with the neighboring cities of Delta, Montrose, and Grand Junction. The park is 20 minutes from the cool, green, Grand Mesa. The owners can suggest many places to see on and around the Mesa. To the south is the Uncompahgre Plateau, another scenic must-see area. It's a great base station for exploring a gorgeous section of Colorado. We came for the month of June and are staying through September. We plan to return as often as our travels have us out this way. We highly recommend staying at Shady Creek RV Park!

As clean and quiet and friendly as one could wish for. We stayed here a month (the best month of the year for this part of the country) and it was a great basecamp for exploring, but it is remote. No cell phone service but good wi-fi. Great place for a country walk in the evening.

We spent a month here and it was a good base-camp for exploring the area. It is a remote and beautifully wooded setting and facility, with gracious & locally-knowledgeable owners and workcamper hosts. It is remote, though -- no cell phone coverage and 20+ miles to shopping. Wi-fi was limited to near the office. We would stay there again!

We "discovered" this park in Spring of '07 and were so impressed that we made reservations for Winter of 07/08 before we left. Now we're back for a 2nd Winter and are just as delighted. The lending library (books & DVDs) has been expanded, a new rec hall has been added, multiple wi-fi hotspots, no traffic noise, beautiful & extensive walking trails in adjacent desert, and the owners are the most friendly, congenial, and helpful we've ever met.
