We have stayed here for several years and have always been treated fairly until this year. We arrived after the first of the month and were required to pay from the first of the month. We are not going to pay for nights we don't stay in the park and feel it is unfair to treat us like that. We as many others have supported the owner and this park for many years and only want to be treated fairly. We like the park and all the activities it has. We do wish they would up grade the electric service as we have to reset breakers all the time. They need 50 amp at all sites along with cable TV. But we as many others in the park do not like having to pay for days we are not there. We hope the owner changes this before next year or we won't be back. Also we hope he trims the palm trees as we have seen them catch fire in May due to the heat. They are nice palm trees but certainly need trimming. We like the owner and his step daughter and hope he doesn't get to greedy. We come back each year because we like the park and feel we can be at home there. We as many others, hope that does not change or he will loose his steady business. Many others have talked about these same subjects so we hope this review will help. Just treat us fairly and we will be back.
We stayed here for two days and enjoyed our stay. It is close to Mobile and shopping. The host was very nice and helpful. I also spoke to the owner who was glad we chose his campground. The name has changed to CITY RV PARK. Lots of speed bumps.
We have stayed here in years past and it was okay. But this year was much different. The electric power was bad, the circuit breakers on the 50 amp kept turning off and were hot, we had to keep resetting it. The cable at our site did not work either. It is clear they are not taking care of this campgrounds power needs and don't understand running 30 amp from a 50 amp cord. We left early because they would not give us the Passport America rate even with most of their sites empty. We will try them again in a year or two to see if they have fixed the campground up.
Campground is old and not taken care of. It is a good location and we are glad it is there. It is okay for a day or two as long as you are self contained. We do wish they would fix up this campground and do the repairs that are needed. Many sites have disabled electric and water which are not used. It is sad to see a campground in this condition. We did enjoy our short stay and are glad it is open and here. There is not another campground anywhere around.
This is an odd park. The campground is very nice with large lots and it is very clean. The pool and club house are very nice and the activity host does a fair job at keeping activities going. We did not like the very long list of rules that the management oversees minute by minute. We would prefer a park that is more relaxed with minimum rules and lets their paying guests enjoy retirement. The location is good and is accessible to shopping. We left after one month and will never go back.
This is a great RV Park. We have been coming here for 3 years and have enjoyed it every time. We travel full time and enjoy this park the best of any. They have activities everyday all season and information meetings with donuts every Monday. The desert trails are wonderful to walk or hike and maps are avaiable at the office. Many sites are close together but the nice people you meet here make it okay. We would like cable and 50 amp at our site but do okay without it. We would recommend this RV Park to anyone over 55.
