Our site was very spacious for our 45 foot' motor home; however, along with the neighbors on both sides of us, we shared our sites with very persistent ant colonies. We asked about getting them treated and the office suggested that we call an exterminating service. The treatment their maintenance people are using does not work. The resort has much to offer for tennis, volleyball, basketball, etc. but no garbage pickup, no Wi-Fi onsite, nor cable TV. We think it is overpriced compared to others in the Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda area offering these services.
This park was reasonably priced for a month's stay. It's well run considering the population. Lots of planned activities here and a good location, everything is within 10 miles. Their inner roads are very confusing, but what the heck, we had a full month to ride our bikes and figure them out. We were very disappointed with Tengo internet, mainly because of the number of people using it, and our inability to get on most of the time.
We've stayed here several times for single night stays and were well satisfied. Not fancy, gravel sites, but very accessible for pull through. Has a nice indoor pool and is easily accessible from the Interstate.
While traveling I-39 on our way north, we were grateful to find this campground open in late March. Illinois just doesn't have many offerings before April 1. It was a friendly, secure place for an overnight stay with good size sites. I would recommend it.
This is a very small park which I was thankful to find from looking at RVparkreviews.com. It is well-maintained and has a pleasant rural feeling, but is conveniently just 1/2 mile off the interstate. We had a friendly pair of cardinals in the tree near us. We will definitely return the next time we are passing through this area.
Although the person at the desk was very helpful and friendly, we will not use our Passport America membership to return to this campground. Unsafe inner roads lead us to a section of this park that had a gravel pit type atmosphere. A novice driver would have needed wrecker service for sure. After our motorcoach steps were out and in place, we had to step over a pile of rocks to exit. It's unfortunate because this park is in a very scenic place.
