Park is not top notch, on run down side. Old permanent trailers also bring the park down. Laundry room not cleaned on a daily or weekly basis. If ever. Blacktop on sites narrow and in need of repair. Extremely noisy train passes right by park blowing whistle at all hours especially during night: often. A lot of help but most sitting and chatting behind desk. Help oblivious to providing camper with nice site or understanding plain English on what you want. This park brings KOA endorsement down. Has to be something better in area.
Too far off beaten path; 13 miles or more off Rt. 21. Good Sam has messed up this listing for travelers. Nice place on lake. Incompetent help checking you in; didn't know they were Good Sam affiliated. Gave us crappy site when most of park empty. Don't recommend!
Park was not attractive at all. Dated, rundown. The laundry room was gross, machines all needed wiped clean. Office and store was ok, the rest was not. Chose not to stay. Definitely not up to KOA standards and reputation. Bad for KOA.
The campground is owner run which is asset. It's the nicest park in town that we could find. We checked them all out. Very, very clean laundry room and grounds. Close to the road but noise not a problem. Convenient location. Highly recommend.
A great disappointment! It has been, terribly managed. We paid for a premium site with tables & chairs and they were too dirty to use. We made reservations way in advance for week's stay, and they gave us a muddy site. There is a lot of highway noise. The laundry room was so dirty, we wouldn't use it. Wi-fi is the worst we encountered traveling all the way across country. We left after 3 nights due to conditions.
This is the nicest campground we've stayed in on our cross country trip when traveling- not a destination. Park is very well run, show u to site. Exceptionally clean shower, bathrooms, & laundry room. The owner is on site most the time, very helpful & hospitable. Park right beside highway, so there's highway noise. Gravel sites, but nice. I looked @ all parks in town this is by far the nicest without question. Angel Lake a nice 12 mile ride up mountain from park, one of most beautiful places we've ever been. Bella's restaurant in town very good, don't let looks fool you. We camped here 3 nights, when we stopped for 1. Nice place to rest do laundry, go see lake, & eat some good home cooking @ Bella's!
