I wanted to like this park. It is nicely situated on the French Broad river with a great biking, walking trail going through the middle of the park. Dog friendly. Really close to Biltmore and downtown Asheville. As others have noted there is I-240 just above the park, lots or road noise that was easily manageable inside the RV by turning on a fan. We went to their website and noted that they were a Passport America park so in order to get the $15 rate we joined PA since this visit alone would pay for the membership. They had taken our information for a reservation but when we arrived they did not seem to have any system for reservations. Since we had a "reservation" we could not get the PA rate. However, there was no evidence that they had any idea we were coming. There were 3 sites left, we barely fit on one of them. The park was full. The power was spotty at best and was not really 50 AMP luckily it was cool. The water pressure was horrible especially in the mornings. At $15 this park would be a 6, at $30 it is a 4.
Level gravel site, good power and water. No cable. We were at the top of the hill. It had rained buckets for a few days before. The area was very wet. Out site was fine but many would have been a problem. A special event was going on at the University so the park had buses running into town. Friendly staff.
Great location, easy access to downtown. We held a rally for 21 motorhomes here. The sites are large, level and easy to get into. The clubhouse was large and comfortably accommodated our 44 members. Two large screen TV's and a pool table were a hit with our campers too! The owners are incredibly pleasant and easy to work with. Lots of area to walk or relax by the water. The pool was recently renovated and a great place to chill out. We stayed for a week and will definitely be back.
Beautiful old oaks. Big rig friendly. Great clubhouse and pool and waterfront beach area. Good for pets. If you are here for a concert at The Wharf great location for easy access to the venue. Dog park close by.
Nice wide sites, plenty of room between RV's for privacy. Beautiful landscaping and pool area. Great for families. Lots of room for big rig maneuvering. Great paved streets and paved sites with fire rings.
We camped here for 3 nights. We were parked in the front circle, which is not shaded, but the sites are level and large. The staff was friendly and accommodating. It would be very nice for families with children. About 30 miles from Greenfield Village but easy to freeway access to get there. If you are a large vehicle, make your reservations early and make sure you are not in the shaded lake areasbecause they were very tight.
