This is a very nice park, the people who work here are friendly and helpful, and whole place is immaculately maintained. The sites are large enough that your slide-out is not intruding into your neighbor's site. However, since this campground is located on a slope, our pull-through site went uphill. We could not have over-nighted here without unhitching our fifth wheel trailer to level it. As it turned out, we stayed here for four nights and enjoyed our stay. The convenience to Mesa Verde Natl. Park makes this a desirable location. We also enjoyed visiting the Anasazi Heritage Museum near the town of Dolores.
We always stay overnight at this park when we are coming or going on Interstate 40. The sites are long and level so that unhitching our 5th wheel is not necessary. There is a nice, small swimming pool, and a children's play area. Being in a desert area, the tamarisk trees and the large oleander bushes help to provide shade. The management is always friendly and informative. The traffic and train noise can be annoying but for one night we find it tolerable.
