This is a new campground, located at the east edge of town right next to the city park. Nothing fancy, just a great little place to stay if you have relatives in the area. Shade trees are still small, but will grow with time. Dump site is conveniently located. Self check-in. We will definitely be using this campground in the future!
This is a very nice campground south of Moab. Sites are a bit small, but we managed. The back-in sites seem to be larger than the pull-throughs. Staff is friendly and helpful. There weren't enough picnic tables for all the sites, and as soon as someone left a site someone else was moving it to their site. All in all, though, we would not hesitate to come back if in the area. Rate was Passport America.
This is a beautiful campground, very close to the interstate and easy to get to. By putting the intersection in our GPS we were directed right to it. Restrooms, showers and laundry facilities were all spotless. They are very pet friendly and have an inclosed dog run. We saw a nice little playground for kids. The staff that we interacted with were so nice. Escorted us to our site. The sites are HUGE! No grass at sites, but that only helped with the cleanliness of the park. No pool or cable TV. But we did get several channels with our antenna. We would DEFINITELY stay here again. Rate is with Good Sam Discount.
The previous reviews of this campground are spot on! If there were a higher rating than 10, we would give it to them. Very family friendly. The campground was neat and clean, personnel were friendly and helpful. Our daughter rented one of their rental trailers, and was impressed with it. She did have a small problem in the rental, but it was taken care of quickly. Someone had spilled grease on the bottom of the oven, and it caught on fire. We put the fire out with the fire extinguisher then called the Welcome Center. They sent maintenance right out to check things out. He replaced the smoke alarm, and called housekeeping. The young gal from housekeeping came down, cleaned the oven, and replaced the fire extinguisher. And this was in the evening. When there, don't miss Holiday World. The best bang for your buck as far as amusement parks go. Can's say enough good things about that place. Free fountain drinks and sunscreen while you are there. Also, our 2 yr old grandson was deathly afraid of Santa. But the Santa there worked and worked with him, and actually got the little guy to let him hold him. That in itself is worth the price of admission. As much as we love our kids and grand kids, tho, we are looking forward to coming back again so that we can relax and shop in the area.
We loved our stay at this park. The people in the office were both friendly and helpful. The laundry facilities clean and neat. And, although we didn't use them, we noticed that the shower/restroom areas were cleaned daily. No cable TV, but our antenna worked just fine. This campground is literally at Graceland's front door. The hotel right in front offers a shuttle service to/from Beal Street for $10/person and is well worth it. Also, there is a restaurant right up the road about a mile, Marlow's, that will come and pick you up at your site in a pink limo and take you to their restaurant for supper. What a treat! There are just a few minor things that could improve this RV Park. The sign out front could be larger, as we passed it and had to find a place to turn around. Also, we travel with a couple of dogs, and it would have been nice to have a fenced-in area for them to exercise. People have said in previous reviews that this is in a bad part of town, but we didn't notice any problems. We are hoping to visit Memphis again either in the fall or spring, when the weather is cooler and will definitely stay here again.
We have mixed feelings about this park. Sites are narrow and can be a problem to get into. We had a pull-through, and if it would not have been for the site behind us being empty, we would have had a very difficult time getting parked. We also have a small (2 ft) slide. If our slide would have been 4 ft, it would have come close to touching the rig next to us. Also, when making reservations for the campground back in March, we also ordered tickets for the Grand Ole Opry through them. On the day of the show I went into the office to double check on the tickets. Glad I did! They had forgotten to order the tickets. We had basically arranged our trip around that particular event, and were extremely disappointed. They did apologize profusely, but that didn't get me my tickets, and I told them so. To their credit, they did work hard, and managed to snag a couple of tickets for the show for us. (Someone had canceled, I guess.) But the tickets we got were in the balcony, back row, and clear to the side of the stage. I'm certain that if someone would have done their job in the first place, we would have had much, much better seats. The noise from the interstate didn't bother us any, and the pet walk/run area was much enjoyed by our two dogs. There is also a small creek behind the pet walk that Shelby and Roxie loved to play in. Laundry facilities were both clean and in good working order (one washer was out of order.) Location is OK for the Nashville area, but there are others closer. Price was good as we used the CCUSA card, but we would probably try somewhere else if in the area again.
This is a nice, quiet park about 10-15 minutes outside of Sevierville. The people are friendly. TV reception was hit and miss, but we didn't go to the area to sit and watch television. No playground equipment or pool, but we are retired so not an issue for us. If you're looking for plenty of stuff to entertain kids with, this is not the place for you. But, if you just want a small, friendly park then this is a little gem. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Rate is for CCUSA.
This is one of the nicest campgrounds you will ever find. The people are friendly and helpful. Large garbage cans are provided, and are emptied daily. Beautiful water access in the form of a shallow, slow-running river. They have all kinds of rafts, canoes, etc., available for rent. There is a very active railroad track across the river, but this didn't bother us any. Matter of fact, watching them only made the place more quaint. The only drawback that we could find is that there is only one washer and dryer. No sewers on site, but there is a dumpstation and provide a pump-out service that is free for extended stays and a charge for shorter stays. We would DEFINITELY camp here again if in the area!
We picked this campground because of previous reviews, and were gravely disappointed. The grass was in dire need of mowing. Pull-thru sites weren't full concrete slabs, just two strip large enough for your tires, and we found the angle to be a bit inconvenient. We ended up parking on one of the grass sites. Dog "drippings" were all over the place, and you had to be careful of where you walked. Although the bathroom part of the bathhouse was clean and stocked, the shower area had a lot to be desired. No bench for sitting, and no shelf to put watches, glasses, etc inside your shower area. DH said that in the men shower, there weren't even shower curtains. Also, floors inside the shower area were dirty...mud, leaves, and grass. If this were closer to the interstate, it might be good for an over nite stop, but is inconvenient to get to so really isn't practical for that. We will not be stopping here again.
