Wow am so disappointed, I should have read the other reviews first, this place is a dump. We camp a lot and this is the first time we have been so totally unhappy with a campground. First of all when we called to make the reservation a nasty lady basically said fine you're reserved-very rude. The "scenic" ponds are more like cesspools foul stagnant ponds with a layer of thick green slim on top. We threw rocks in it and I thought they might sit right on top...yuck! The "playground is a rickety backyard type slide, two swings (with broken chains) and seesaws, not safe let alone kid friendly. Oh and the playground is right next to the rocky ledge for one of the slimy creeks with no fences or anything. We got situated and went to start a fire to cook dinner and had no fire ring went to the office and was told rudely that's the difference between RV park and campground and no fires allowed. I am pretty sure there are homeless people tent camping near the playground, not cool. Could not wait to get out of this place, I advise you skip it!

We just camped here and it was good; nothing to write home about but nothing terrible either. Others mentioned the dog policy. We brought our Shi tzu and he was on a lead at our site. There were two small dogs his size across the way and they were constantly off their leads and barking ALL THE TIME. The staff did tell them they needed to keep them on their site. There was some confusion amongst the staff as to what the boundaries of the site were, and staff parked us pinned between trees 30 feet from our hook ups. I finally went to the office for a new spot and a lovely woman came out and clarified the situation, and we were happy with the big site we had. We were at a large pull through site that was great we had a lot of space. Nothing negative to say, just a little pricey for us to be so close to home.

Overall this was a very nice campground. We only stayed one night passing through, but it was a little pricey. The site was a pull through and gravel which is nice. It was still early spring, so it was not crowded at all. The sites and bathrooms were very clean, and I saw staff cleaning everywhere I looked. My 5 year old enjoyed the play areas and "exploring" the wooded areas. It was nice, but would have preferred to pay a little less.

We camped here in March with our brand new travel trailer (we just picked it up) and it could not have been nicer. The people there were super friendly and let us pick any site that was available. We stayed in what appeared to be a newer gravel section that was really nice and clean. Sites are roomy and well marked. We had a guest visit and they were great. The staff helped us find local activities and was very helpful. Large playground facility that my 5 year old really enjoyed. I enjoyed that the seasonal sites were set apart from the nightly sites; it made it more camping and less summer home. The only thing missing was the sewer hook up, but that is not a deal breaker.

Beachcomber was a nice campground and very large. We were disappointed that there were so many seasonal sites, almost the entire park was seasonal sites, and even though we checked in before the weekend crowd, they put us on what looked to be a non renewed seasonal site with landscaping decorations and things. We did feel a bit out of place with all the seasonal folks. We camped in the Spring so the price was not bad, but I will not camp there during prime season because the price jumps way up. The roads are tight, and the spot we were in was VERY tight for our 30' travel trailer, I can't imagine maneuvering with something larger,. The site across the way almost lost their pink flamingos and decorative junk when we were backing in. You can't beat the location however, smack between Wildwood and Cape May. It is easy access to both.
