If you're looking for resort type park, this is not the park for you, but we would definitely refer our friends. We wanted some place between the two Presidential Libraries and this was the only one. We didn't expect a whole lot at $20 per RV Park Reviews, (they had to raise their rates), $22 a day was the weekly rate. There were quite a few permanent residents, but the park was very quiet and not messy. The laundry is in the office and only has two washers and dryers, but they are not coin operated. It's on the honor system. Large capacity washers and dryers. Unlike coin operated dryers, they go until your clothes are dry. $1 per load. The park had the best WIFI we've experienced in any of our travels, including some of the more expensive resorts. Fast and reliable. As mentioned before, the entrance road is a little rough, however, if you use the northern most entrance, it is much better. Only reason for not giving it a 10 was the fact it had a lot of stickers for walking our Lhasa Apso. This is Texas, so I guess it's a never ending fight.
Rate reflects, pay for 6 nights get 7th free. We had a nice week at this campground. It is fairly new. Ribbon cutting was 7/2013, so the owner is still working on it. Yes there is highway noise, but that doesn't negate the pluses. Owner was great and willing to help with anything. Our space was very level concrete pad with more than enough space between sites. There was a problem with stickers while walking our dog, but the owner is working on that. Saw her spraying several times during the week we were here. She did suggest an area where we could walk him. The WIFI did tend to get slow when the park got full, but otherwise the connection was good. There are two WIFI towers in the park. As this is the only "full service" park in Kearney, we would stay here again. As I said, the owner is working on correcting any problems brought to her attention.
Rate reflects 10% discount for Good Sam and 5% discount for cash, and paying for six nights with the seventh free. Not sure if previous reviewer was in the same park, but we had more than enough room between spaces. We had a very enjoyable week at this park. The spaces were very level with plenty of room. We have two slides and even put our awning out with no problem. Yes, there is noise from the traffic on I-80, but we had no problem with it. Laundry was very clean and very reasonable, $1.25 to wash and $1.00 for 45 min of drying. Washers and dryers worked well. They had a nice playground for the kids and a lovely pool, but being this late in the year, we did not take advantage of the pool. We were told, however that it is heated. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would suggest calling ahead and making reservations, as this seemed to be a very popular park. Very convenient to restaurants and shopping and all points of interest. We will stay here again, when in the area.
Nice little campground with a great staff. Had planned on stopping at another campground, but that did not work out, so called KOA and they had One spot available with 30 amp, water, but no sewer which was fine as we had dumped that morning. It appeared to have a lot of long term residents. Easy in and easy out.
Campground is very basic with full hookups. Staff is great. The first site we were assigned was very unlevel, so the staff told us to pick another and let them know. We picked another somewhat more level. If we had looked a little further, may have found one more level. Wonderful gift shop and museum at the entrance. There is noise from the ranges, but not bad. We were there four days and enjoyed it all, including the morning and evening visits of a doe and her two fawns.
We have stayed here numerous times on our way to and from other destinations. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Spaces are level, but somewhat close. WiFi works great and our four-legged baby loves the dog park.
Nice clean park, with very friendly staff. Would have given a higher rating except there is no cable as advertised and Wi-Fi was very slow and kept getting kicked off. Local Salt Lake channels are available on antenna. Under the impression the lack of cable is an Ely problem and not the park. Sites are level and well spaced. Two nice fenced dog walks. The park is 3 miles from the town, so not too convenient to shopping.
Very basic park. Host was very helpful, leading us to our space and even giving instructions on the hookups. Wi-Fi tended to be slow. Cable connection was very snowy, but that could be our connection. Spaces were all pull-through and level. The park is right next to I-80, so quite a lot of road noise. Their business card states "new park", but would tend to question just how new. There were a few long term residents, but not unkempt. This park was the best we saw in the area. If in the area again, we would stay again.
It almost seems other reviewers were in a different park. The park appeared to have mostly long term residents from the fairgrounds next door. Our spot was spacious, but no grass. Walking to one of the two dumpsters, noticed some of the sites were extremely crowded. Speed bumps into the park were horrendous. We were not able connect to use the WIFI the entire two days we stayed, thus having to use our data allowance from our Verizon hot spot. Not sure where their WIFI towers were located, but being at the end of the row close to the fairgrounds, must have been too far. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Otherwise I would have rated this park lower.
We had reservations further down the road, but because of the wind decided to stop for the night. Called and ask if they had space for us for the night. Manager was great. Said no problem. Gave us a site where our rooftop satellite would work. Sites have grass, but are slightly unlevel. WIFI was extremely slow. Not sure if this was because of the wind, but finally gave up and used our Verizon hot spot. Since it was for only one night, did not pursue the matter. Park is fairly easy access to I-84, about 1.5 miles north.
This was our third visit to this park. As always, staff was very friendly and helpful. The park is well maintained, even to the point of daily pine cone pickup. As stated by a previous reviewer, there is quite a lot of traffic to the airport, but we did not find it distracting. There is also a rather busy railroad track near the lower level of the park. We were on the upper level and wasn't bothered by it. A Super Wal-Mart is only a mile away. Also, easy access to I-84. We will be back.
Price reflects Passport America rate. They do not accept credit cards, so make sure to have the cash. The park is rather out of the way from I-84, but not difficult to get to. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially explaining the quirks of the laundry. As stated by others, there many permanent residents. Permanent residents do not seem to understand the 5 mph speed limit. Spaces are somewhat close together, but large enough for our 35' RV with two slides.
Very nice clean park. There appears to be quite a few long term residents, but all are neat and well kept. Only problem is they only have one trash dumpster and it being on the other side of the park behind the storage units. Would have been nice to have some smaller ones throughout the park, especially with all the rain. ALSO, small dog park is also on the other side of the storage units with only pea gravel. Spaces were very level, but do not have tables. Wide enough to accommodate our 35' with slides on each side, however, if we had not been in the front row, think we would have had a problem maneuvering out, particularly with our tow. Laundry was clean, but rather small. Two people would have a problem sorting/folding at the same time. WIFI was excellent. Cable was all right. Appeared snowy on the upper channels. The rate reflects the fact they have "stay three, pay for two". We were here for five days and paid for four. Friendly host. We will stay again, when in the area as this is the nicest park in Florence.
We have stayed here before and received the same great greeting as before. Owners/managers are more than helpful. We were given a space with a view of the river to enjoy. Only complaint is they have had to go to new system for their cable and they were never able to get it to work for us. They apologized and called the cable company, who never showed up in our three days there. Not the park's fault. the bathrooms, which we didn't need to use, were cleans, but the separate shower which we didn't need either, appeared rather old. Our rate reflects Good Sam rate and "stay two and get the third night free". We will definitely stay again, when in the area.
Nice little park with VERY friendly hosts. We were here only one night. Called the day before for reservation and were placed in a very nice level (hardly any leveling needed) space. Wi-Fi and cable were excellent. Only complaint? was the grass between the spaces was somewhat long. This may have to do with the climate, but made for some wet shoes. Also, quite close to highway 101, so there is some road noise.
We stayed here in spite of the previous reviews as it seemed to be the best out of what was available. We were pleasantly surprised. I made the reservation on line, with special request for a space where our roof mounted satellite would work. We checked in with a very friendly staff, they accommodated our request. Our space was very level, with very little adjustment needed. We had plenty of space for our 35', with slides and tow and had NO problem getting in or out of our space. Did not hear barking dogs. They have a very nice dog park. Did catch a whiff OCCASIONALLY of the cattle in the surrounding ranches, but it was not overpowering. If you live in TX, that is the smell of money and I'm sure it's the same for these ranches. There did seem to be some long-term residents, but the area was clean and well maintained. The Wi-Fi and cable worked great. We were on the southern edge of the park and there was a busy road next to the park, but the noise was not that bad. If in the area again, we would not hesitate to stay here again.
This is one of the most beautiful and well maintained resort/parks we have ever stayed in. The managers were extremely friendly and helpful. The dog park is beautiful. We had a hard time getting our baby to come back to the rig. Noticed this morning, while walking that the flag was a little ragged from the wind. They just hoisted a new one. The laundry is fantastic. $1 for wash and $1 for dry. Most parks charge more. Machines worked great. One cycle of dry dried Levi's with no problem. The pool and spa are beautiful. A nice fitness room. WiFi was excellent. We will definitely stop here again on our way home to AZ and most certainly will tell all of our friends about Yanks. It is still a work in progress for all they have planned, but what they have done so far is Great. Well worth the price and the most reasonable in the area.
Beautiful park. Very well kept. We arrived on a Sunday and the "night host" was very friendly and helpful. There did seem to be some long term sites, but all were well kept. Quiet and convenient. The WIFI appeared to be slow at times, and for some reason would lose connection around 1700 everyday. It would come back on after a time. Did not pursue the problem. The cable did not work, but was able to get all of the local channels on our antenna to supplement our satellite. We will stay here again.
We've stayed here several times as Coast to Coast members. They are no longer Coast to Coast, but are a "Good Neighbor Park", $15. We have always managed to stay on a river site at no extra charge. Now they charge an extra $15 per night for river side sites. They also now charge extra for 50 amps and Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi was $2 per night per connection. Not sure if they will still be a Good Neighbor Park or not, so the rates will probably change. With all the add ons, we may not come back. Will give them credit for trying to improve.
This is the best park in Santa Rosa, but that isn't saying too much. Very basic. Apparently you pay separately for each amenity. We chose not to have sewer or cable, since only being here one night. Our receipt showed 20.50 for space and 10.95 for 50 amp. That was with a Good Sam discount. A previous reviewer mentioned the slow Wi-Fi. Slow is an understatement. Connections says 54 mb, but most sites will not load and the park is only about 1/4 occupied. The pet area is an unused space and has not been cleaned up from uncourteous campers who did not clean after their pet. Will try not to have to stop in Santa Rosa again.
An OK campground. Would not rate it as high as Good Sam, but OK for our short 2 day stay. Pads are level and spaced well. WIFI leaves a lot to be desired. We have two laptops and were only allowed ONE coupon from Tengonet for ONE night. Had to pay for the other laptop and pay for another day on primary laptop. Connection was extremely slow as Tengonet usually is. Last park we stayed in with Tengonet for two days gave us TWO coupons for a week. Guess it depends on the arrangements of the park. Hosts were friendly enough, although couldn't tell us much about sites to see around the area, having never been to Lubbock before. There is NO cable and if you have rooftop satellite, make sure to park near the rear of the space, as the tree will block reception.
Great park for the price. Best in San Angelo. WIFI worked great and is now throughout the whole park. We parked in space #10 upon arrival, but found it had little shade and was right next to a large busy parking lot. Asked if we could move to space #12, which was empty and was told "no problem". Managers very friendly and helpful. Spaces are large and well spaced, so you aren't on top of other campers. Women's bathroom was filthy, but they had a "Goodfellow Appreciation Day" yesterday for all personnel from the base, so that may have contributed to the filth. Was told by a "long time" camper they are adding six more spaces across the parking lot. IF this is the case, they really need to add more washes and dryers. There are only two each, making it difficult to get all laundry done. All in all a good experience. Will be back when in the area.
We found this to be a nice park. Spaces are plenty large enough. Not sure what other reviewers were looking for, but we have been in parks with much more cramped spaces. The grounds could use some cleanup, i.e. papers and other debris laying around. The Wi-Fi is now free. The small airport next door does create quite a bit of noise with the helicopters flying over. Overall, we would come back.
Absolutely gorgeous gated resort. Everything is well maintained. Concrete streets and level concrete pads. Very nice dog walk area. Beautiful pool and hot tub. Staff very friendly and helpful. There is some noise from Hwy 1960, but no more than any city street. There is a train track close by, so some trains are heard. As stated previously, some noise from George Bush International Airport, but not bad. Convenient to downtown Houston. Non-rush hour travel time was appx 30 min. Will definitely stay here again, when in the area.
Nice park with very friendly owner and staff. Large pull through spaces. Suggest calling ahead for reservations as it is a busy park. Wi-Fi worked great. No cable and was not able to pull in any local American stations. Do not use address for GPS. It will try to put you in the middle of the desert. Use coordinates. They worked well.
One of the most beautiful military campgrounds we have stayed in. Management very friendly and helpful. Called a couple hours before arriving, since they don't take reservations. Manager told me they had 10 spaces available. The park is quite full with students for the base, but had no problem being accommodated. Very nice pet area. Whole park is great. Will definitely come back when in the area. The $16 rate reflects Golden Access discount.
This is our 4th or 5th time at this park. Office staff is always friendly. They appear to have done a lot of work since we were last here in 2010. WI-FI is excellent throughout the park. Would have given it a higher rating, but the spaces are rather close together, and I do not understand having to pay $2 extra for cable. They have a nice fenced pet area and trash receptacles conveniently located throughout.
Stayed here because of the reviews from previous campers. They must have lower expectancy for quality than we do. As can be seen by my previous reviews, we do not stay in expensive resort campgrounds and find few unacceptable. Granted the $20 a night fee is great, but not worth feeling unsafe. Owners, what limited contact we had, were friendly. Only back in sites are 50 AMP. There were 3 available. Two of which would have been impossible to get leveled. Picked the last one, which was level, but between two trailers that were very close and looked like they had been there for years. Most spaces look as if they were long term residents with much debris around them. All hook-ups were at the front of the space and required two hoses to hook up the water. We didn't have enough sewer hose to hook it up. The cable did work, but there was coax run all over from space to space on top of the ground. There was a pitbull fenced into a small inclosure at a permanent manufactured home. Since he could get on top of his shelter and jump out, we did not feel safe walking our small dog past there. Tried to log on to the WI-FI with no luck. We went to the office and was informed "it wasn't turned on". One half hour later we picked up an extremely weak signal. We did not see an external antenna. One reviewer mentioned the train. SO RIGHT. Because we had to take a back in space the busy train track was about 40 feet from our bedroom. Felt as if the trains were coming right in. The laundry and bath house did look very new as did the interior roads. Did not attempt using the shower as previous review said you had to pay. It does look as if the owners are trying, but we will not stay there again.
I agree with previous reviews. Nice little gem. Sites were level with enough space between them. Owners were extremely friendly and working all the time improving the area. Stated they have only owned the park for a year, but it holds great possibilities. Not a lot of extras at this time, but they are working on it. They do have an above ground pool they are working on. We will stop there again.
After reading previous reviews, we were going to stay for two nights, but after TRYING to level our 35' RV in the back-in site and taking our 4 legged baby for a walk, asked for our money back for the second night. WIFI was EXTREMELY weak. Cable connection was broken and appeared to have been that way for some time. Lots of trash all over. Our 4 legged baby had about 40 stickers in his fur after a short walk. We could not level the rig. Finally gave up and left it leaning toward the front and even then right front wheel was off of the ground. We will NOT stay here again.
We stopped here in 2010 and because of the pleasant experience stopped again on this trip. This is a wonderful little park. We had reservations and they were honored. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Nice area for walking our four legged friend too. Doesn't have all the fancy amenities of some parks, but everything you could need. The sites are level with some trees, but not tall enough to block roof-top satellite. Nice laundry w/four washers and four dryers $1.50 each. WI-FI was strong, but tended to be a little slow at times. Location is convenient to all sorts of shopping. We will definitely return on our next trip to the area.
Very nice campground. Good level, spacious sites. WI-FI works great. Reservations accepted, although check-in can be a little confusing. If you have a reservation, you can call the day of arrival and get your space number, otherwise, a sign at entrance of park says to see camp host in space #20. All we found in space #20 was two "four wheelers" and some personal items. Check in is at ITT office near BX. Laundry leaves a lot to be desired. Only two washers (one not working) and two dryers (slow). We have stayed here before and will stay again.
Nice, well maintained park. Spaces were large, although tend to be slightly unlevel. Owner was very pleasant and helpful. WI-FI worked well. Had asked for a space where our roof-mounted satellite would work and was accommodated.
One of the best campgrounds we have ever stayed in, commercial or military, in over 45,000 miles of travels, . Very large spaces. Grounds extremely well maintained. Office staff very courteous and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.
Nice campground. Owner very friendly. Prefers cash. Spaces are basically level. Cable sites were available, but did not pick one because the roof-top satellite would have had a problem with trees in those sites. Was able to pick up local network channels with antenna. Again, best choice for the area. GPS was loaded for the address, but spotted the sign 4+ miles sooner. Close to I-81, but far enough away to not have road noise. Will stay here again when in the east.
Nice campground. Very basic. Had all the necessities, full-hookups. Wi-Fi was strong, but had to pay a daily rate of $4.49 per 24 hrs. Mostly level spots. We spent 2 days and never had a problem. According to this website, best offered.
Beautiful area. We had a space right on the cliff, but be warned, spaces along cliff do not have 50 amp. Also, connections are spaced quite far apart. Electric and water are near the cliff, sewer is back near street. Need long connections for each. We were able to access Wi-Fi from the pavilion with range extenders.
Very nice park. Would have given a higher rating, but we were parked in the area under the trees, thus roof mount satellite would not work and acorns dropping continuously from trees sounded like incoming. Road to get to park had a lot of low hanging trees, thus dinging the top of coach. Office staff very friendly and helpful, but apparently not a pet lover.
Did not find this campground on this website. Just happened on to in Trailer Life book. This seemed to be the only campground within 50 miles of Scranton that had the amenities we were looking for. Price was with Good Sam discount and $2 cash discount. Host very friendly and helpful. We were given a site along the southern perimeter so our rooftop satellite would work. The site was slightly unlevel, but workable. The interior roads are in need of some work. Since our site was on the perimeter and there is a busy highway adjacent, it tended to be somewhat noisy. We will stay here again, if in the area.
Hosts very friendly and helpful. We did have a problem with the space assigned first, as it was somewhat unlevel. They assigned us another, which was better. Some long term residents, but were not a problem. Park was basically quiet and well maintained. Hosts (owners) seemed to be always working on things. Wi-Fi tended to be sporadic. Good connection most of the time, but did kicked off frequently. This could have been the fault of the server. Will stay here again.
Five spaces in the park have full hook ups. We had one of those spaces. The rate reflects Passport America. We had to contend with a LOT of mud because of Hurricane Isaac. Could have used a little wider pads.
Very nice quiet park, although road to entrance was quite rough and somewhat steep. Would have given a higher rating, but our space was somewhat unlevel. We had requested a pull-through. Other back-in spaces appeared more level. Our motor home is 35' and we had some trouble getting it leveled. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Laundry was very clean as was the heated pool. Will stay here again, if in the area.
Looks to be a little older park. Office staff very friendly and helpful. We were escorted to a nice pull through spot conveniently located across from office and rec center. They do have coffee and donuts in the morning, but didn't sample them. WEIGHT! Passport America rate was good for only one night. She gave us another discount for the second night, as my husband is a retired Marine.
We stayed in the newer section. As stated in previous reviews, these spaces are huge, gravel and very level. Sewer connections could have been a little better located in order not to have to be right next to neighbor. Afternoon host was very friendly and helpful with directions, etc. Asked daytime host about price of propane and she acted as if I was truly bothering her. Because of other reviews, we came through the Wyoming gate. Don't think it was much wider than the Eubank's gate. Our rig is 108" and don't think we would have had any problem getting through Eubank's. The exit gates look about the same as entrance and we made it through them just fine.
We always enjoy our stay at Lake O'Neill. I do wish they would work more on getting the spaces level. As I have said before, it is quite obvious spaces 52-61 are NOT level. They slope down toward the south. Not too much of a problem for 5th Wheels, but large (35') class A RVs wind up with the front wheels off of the ground. Normally a fairly quiet park, dredging of the lake 24/7, except for weekends, did tend to grind on ones nerves. This is forecast to be completed sometime in July. Really though cannot beat the price for what you get. We will be back again.
Rate reflects C to C Good Neighbor rate. Very nice quite park. Pool and spas well kept. Only complaint, area designated for pet walk is accessed by a gate, which we found locked a lot of times. There is a nice pet area outside of the parks main gate. Not a good idea to arrive on Sunday as office and GATE is closed. Was not able to get code for Wi-Fi, since the office was closed. Not too happy with laundry access. Must BUY a CARD for $5 (non-refundable) and load $ on to it for washers and driers. April is not a good time to visit, unless you are very fond of WIND.
Spaces are rather short, but wide. Very level. Reason for low rating, Upon arrival, asked about the Wi-Fi. Was informed by host, "He knows nothing about computers". Wi-Fi was $2.50 per day extra. Wi-Fi didn't work. Informed host, he said "no one had ever had a problem before." We have two laptops, and neither one could connect. I asked if I could call the owner, since the host "knew nothing about computers". He said "sure". Owner knew nothing about computers either. His wife said to reboot the router. Owner said he would call host and have him do that. STILL no Wi-Fi. Next day informed host, still no Wi-Fi. He indicated it had to be OUR computers. Camper in space next to us, could not connect either. I asked if owner had contacted him about rebooting. He said NO. If I had told him earlier that it wasn't working, he'd have done that. I ASSUMED the owner had contacted him, when he said he would. Host got rude over "my" problem. Eventually was able to connect, after host rebooted. WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN!
Absolutely beautiful campground. Well laid out with very large spaces. Very courteous staff. Wi-Fi and cable worked great. Will definitely stay again when in the area. Very convenient to CA 58. Shopping not too far. Wal-Mart about 8 miles.
Very nice park. Spaces are a little close, but handle big rigs quite well. Well maintained. After a horrific wind storm, crews were out cleaning up the next morning. Wi-Fi and cable were great. Will definitely stay here again. We had no problem receiving our 50% discount. Their website states, "In order to get discount, make reservations over phone". I would suggest driving a couple of miles into town to buy milk or whatever. We went to the mini mart next to the park. Prices were not posted and we paid $3.99 for a half gallon of milk.
Small friendly park. Host was very friendly. WI-FI worked well. Was given a 2 for 1 meal ticket at the casino. Food was excellent at the Thanksgiving buffet. We stayed here because RV Park Reviews had rated this the best in the area. Was not disappointed. We stayed 6 days because of the long holiday weekend.
Nice small park. Quite a few long term residents with a lot of stuff around the rigs. Host was friendly and helpful. If you need satellite AND 50 amps, be sure and ask for space #45. We were first assigned to 37 or 38. Chose 38. Satellite on top of rig would not lock in and then found it to be only 30 amps.
Nice little park with quite a few long term guests. This was not a problem. Everything was well maintained and clean. Host (owner) was very friendly and helpful. Cable TV and Wi-Fi worked great. Hill on entrance was a little disconcerting, but not a problem. Be very careful leaving with rig, as the entrance/exit is on a curve. Need good "shotgun" viewer. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.
Agree completely with previous reviews. Beautiful park in a beautiful setting. Being so late in the year, we were the only ones in the park. Hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Verizon service is very low (one of the few places we have found this), sometimes connect, sometimes not. The water pressure is low, but tolerable. Satellite works great as does the Wi-Fi. Will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
Rate reflects pay 6 nights, 7th is free with Good Sam discount. We stayed here in 2005 and found it a great park. It is still a great park. Very friendly staff. The park is quiet with the exception of the plane noise, but not bad enough to give it a bad rating. We will definitely stay here again, when visiting the Portland area.
We've stayed here many times. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Wish they would get the spaces more level. We stayed here in April and mentioned that our space #61 was quite unlevel. They apparently are working on them, but not with much success. Just looking at them, you can tell they are NOT level. Spaces are well spaced. Only a few are satellite friendly. We were in Space 50. 50-54 would not block satellite.
Nice little park. Quite a few long term residents. Spaces are fairly level and well spaced. Laundry was very clean. $1.25 to wash and to dry. Wi-Fi worked great. Host was very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again for short term. Enjoyed watching the tame deer visit each evening.
Totally agree with previous review. Beautiful park. Camp host is very friendly and accommodating. Spaces are level and spaces are well spaced. Wi-Fi works great. Only problem we encountered was some time of interference with our TV's and satellite. Apparently something to do with PAVE/PAWS. Couldn't not receive a decent signal on our TV antenna, thus no local stations. Even with these problems, will stay here again.
Have stayed here before. VERY nice park, although rather remote. Personnel very nice and helpful. Pets are rather restricted. Rules say to take your dog to the dog park (in park) which is quite a ways from sites. Kind of difficult for functions. Will come back.
We stayed here mainly because of previous reviews. The staff was very friendly. However, had asked for a space where our satellite would work. We were parked next to a tree blocking the satellite. The cable TV connection at our site did not work. The maintenance man had to run a cable from the space next to us (which was vacant). The WiFi only worked 50% of the time, even though we were quite close to the office. Took our little dog for a walk. He immediately was covered with bullhead stickers. Much distress for him and for me to remove them. They do have a doggy area, which is all sand and dirt. I do not think we will stay again.
They advertise as the best small park in the nation. Not sure who rated them, but it's very run down with no amenities. Spaces were fairly close together. We lucked out and didn't have anyone on either side of us. The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions to museums and stores. As stated in other reviews: was okay for one night.
Very nice park, although not really convenient to the interstate. Staff was very friendly and the grounds were well maintained. As stated in a previous review, the concrete pads were cracked, but it has no effect on comfort. We have a 35', class A, which took up the whole pad. Our toad did sit on an incline, but not enough to cause any problems. WiFi worked great. We will stay here again as it was well worth the price.
We stayed three days. Rather basic park and remotely located. Dirt road off of Old 81 was very rough, but worth the drive. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The rate reflects Campclub USA discount. Well worth the money. Only really bad part, I needed to do laundry and they only had one washer and one dryer. The WiFi worked great.
We made reservations 2-1/2 weeks prior to arrival for a space with Wi-Fi and satellite accessible. We we given a space quite far from the office where the Wi-Fi antenna was, although there were several spaces available closer to the office. WI-Fi signal when available was quite weak. This was extremely frustrating, as we were there for a week. We were continually kicked off. Our satellite did work well. The spaces for the row we were in, AGAIN other spaces were available throughout our stay, were extremely close. Having two RVs with slides side by side was very cramped. Slides nearly touching. Forget putting awnings out. The proximity to the highway does make for a lot of noise. Warm weather and A/C helped mute the noise. Doubt we will stay here again.
VERY nice park. Very well kept. Quiet and the WiFi worked great. Better than some of the more expensive parks we've stayed in. Only reason I didn't give it a 10, I checked the laundry and there was only one washer and one dryer. Even a park this small, should have at least two each. We will definitely stay here again, if in the area.
Rate reflects Campclub USA. The $2 a day fee for our small dog did seem ridiculous, since you are required to clean up after your pet. Not sure what the $2 is for. Nice park, fairly convenient to I-70. WiFi was sporadic at best and very slow, even though we were directly across from the antenna. The grounds were well maintained. Did not go to the pool, as it is open to the public and always quite crowded.
Can't beat the price. Very basic park. Registration was a challenge. We arrived around 1:00 PM. Sign on the door stated hours were 9-9. Tried calling the number and received a message stating they would be back at 6:00. Left a note telling them which space we had chosen. Tried again, still no one available. 9:30 PM "host" came knocking, asking our name and wanting the two day fee. Don't think we'll stay here again, but there aren't a lot of choices in the area.
Very nice park. Agree with previous review about "upper level" sites. They are somewhat close, but since we have a roof mounted satellite, we needed the upper level. The first site we were given was slightly unlevel, but owner let us change without any problem. We will stay here again, if in the area.
Since we stayed on Coast to Coast, we were not allowed "full hookups". Sewer was at the site, but was told the state had not given them permission for use yet. We stayed a week and had to have the honey wagon twice. Quite inconvenient. WiFi is ONLY at the lodge. Nice CG, but rather remote. Staff was not overly friendly. Probably would not stay here again on Coast to Coast.
Previous reviews did not give us much hope for this campground. We found the owners very friendly and helpful. We were in one of the spaces closest to the office, so our WiFi was great. The pool was excellent and well maintained. The road noise was somewhat loud, but tolerable.
We picked this park because of the reviews found at this website. We were totally disappointed. Reviewer that stated it was close to the interstate must have mixed up parks. It was at least 2.5 miles from I-40 to the turnoff, then another 3.5 miles to the campground. THEN another 1.6 miles to our campsite. The WiFi was at the office ONLY and continually kicked us off. The acoustics in the office amplified all conversations between personnel and their friends. On the plus side, the personnel were very friendly and helpful. There were NO local TV stations available to keep track of severe weather. We will NOT stay here again.
A small, friendly campground. Site was slightly unlevel, but manageable. Stayed here because of previous comments on this site. The owner was very friendly. WiFi worked great. Will definitely stay here again, should the occasion arise.
Very nice park. $20 per night. Pay for two nights and get third night free. Great value for such a nice park. Restrooms and laundry very conveniently located. Wash was 50 cents and dry 50 cents for a full 60 min. Staff very friendly. A short distance west of Amarillo, but shopping only 5 miles. Will definitely stay again.
Granted we stayed very late in the season. However, the first space were assigned was so unlevel our right rear wheels were about 9" off of the ground. AND we had about a 18" drop from our last step to the ground. We scouted around and they agreed to move us to a slightly more level site. We still had a 12" drop from the last step. MOST spaces are not level. Dryers DON'T dry. Will NOT stay here again.
