Not a place for kids, with no cable and no pool they were getting bored fast. Lots of workers with four wheelers and motorcycles. Tried to call for three hours before finally getting someone on the phone to tell them we were leaving early. The manager wasn't to be found. Not a place I would recommend or go to again. This is just a parking lot on the water.
This is a Lower Colorado River Authority Park (LCRA) built with taxpayer dollars. The very nice concrete sites have patios and tables. It was extremely windy and the sea spray mixed with the sand left a gritty film all over the rig. It is close to the beach area and public parking, etc. There is surf fishing and river fishing. Make sure you are fully supplied as it is a long way to the store. If it wasn't for the wind it would have been OK.
Nicely maintained park close to downtown San Antonio and most tourist sites. Easy to get to and friendly people. Some highway traffic noise at night, but nothing major. Concrete pull-thru site was level and large. Will stay there again when I visit that city.
The roads are rough, but the views are beautiful for $30/night. We had a concrete site with a patio where we could look out the back window of our 5th wheel at the sailboats in the marina and to the bay. We saw dolphins swim into the marina around the boats. The sunsets were gorgeous. The pool was nice and refreshing. My husband caught fish from the pier and there is a nice place to clean them. Overall, the park is very nice and the people friendly. We will be back.
