Nightly rate is based on the weekly rate. This is a mobile home/RV park, however, unlike most the RVs are in a separate area. All new 20/30/50 amp utilities on sites with sewer/water and cable TV. Nice and quiet park with a lot of mature oaks and palms. Pool and laundry. Verizon phone and MiFi worked well. Crystal River is 8 miles south and Rainbow Springs State Park is 20 miles. We will stay here again if in the area.
Basic RV park, no frills. Elect/water/sewer/cable. Sites are near to level, crushed rock. Some road noise, but not an issue. Passport GPS listing was 7/10 of a mile too far Nov 15th, 2012. If you miss the entrance there are places to turn around 1.2 miles south. Hwy 151 not recommended for entrance to Blue Ridge Parkway for large RV's and trucks. Steep/very curvy.
Great park, lots of activities. Off leash areas for your "kids" which were very clean. They take you to your site and help you park. We lucked out with a site across from laundry. Very convenient. This park has the coolest outside model train layout.
Stayed here one week using PassPort. Very nice park, friendly people. They have off leash dog runs which were very clean and gave our dog lots of fun, exercise and a chance to socialize. Some sites are a little tight to get into, but the park has someone you follow to the site and help you back in. Paid the PassPort rate for one week with no extra fees. Used my credit card. Every site has a trash and recycle container on it. Lots of activities mostly geared to the seasonal guests. I would definitely come back when in the area.
Stayed in the 'new' part: it had very spacious sites, all gravel with no dust even in a brisk wind. $22.31 a night passport which includes a $3.00 50amp fee. However, the regular rate is $37.78 with a $6.00 50amp fee. I thought $6 was a little steep for a per day fee. It's about an 18 mile drive to Carlsbad Caverns from this park.
Park has a lot of trees, gravel sites (mostly level), very quiet. Owner/operators are very friendly and courteous. There are deer and chickens wandering through the campground. There is availability to pen your horse or longhorn steer. Park is clean and well maintained. 6 1/2 miles from Bandera, "The Cowboy Capital of Texas", it is also the nicest camp ground we found in the area. Lots of room on sites.
