While just off the I-10 and a bit of road noise, the sites are spacious and nestled in the woods. Really loved the few days we had here. WiFi was not working too well and our spot was such that we could not get satellite. But the atmosphere was wonderful. Would stay here again for a few days.
For the nightly rate one would think that the internet would be top speed. It is not. In the laundry room, while clean, half the machines are out of order. The staff has been friendly. There is new construction going on and the hammering all day long does not make for a peaceful stay. Most of the pads are gravel with bark chips surrounded by rocks. The dirt coming into the rig with the dogs is awful; not to mention the rocks surrounding the bark which are really more of a hazard. Expected much more for the nightly rate, but it is Jazz Fest and there are not many places to stay in the city. They did have a name of a pet sitter which we took advantage of and that was a highlight. Probably would not come back for an extended stay.
Enjoyed our stay here. The park was pretty empty but we prefer that. Had no neighbors on either side & close to dog run. Only thing bothersome were the dumpsters were a ways away from our particular spot in the back. Site easy to get into and level. Hot tub and pool area was delightful, very adequate laundry facilities, and store for ice and such things. Again, out of the maddening city crowds. Construction ongoing so getting on and off I-0 is not what is related on the GPS. A nice Super Target and Walmart near by.
This was our second visit here and love the small quiet parks. Lots of gravel but there is a nice large area on the other side of a fence to walk the dogs off leash safely. Management is terrific, some of the best we have found. A bit difficult to get to due to construction near the freeway. But it is nestled away. Only real noise are the trains which go down the I-10 corridor. Shopping is close by and laundry accessible 24 hours. This last time we had a beautiful view of the sunset behind the Tucson Mountains to the west.
This is a beautiful and rustic park nestled in the granite dells. We stayed on one of three sites going up the hill and no neighbors. Space was huge, lots of pinion pines, shade, dells on one side, and canyon to the rear. Very quiet where we were. Internet only available in the office but we got by with our own. Phone and wireless service is great. Office staff very friendly and helpful. Received packages for us. Just loved it. About 4 miles north of town and not much around other than Watson Park. Lots of walking trails. We prefer these types of campgrounds to the resort types and wish we could find more of them this unique.
