This was a nice clean park under new management the day before we arrived. The new owners were new to RV Park business and things were a little confused but they seemed to have good business acumen and were interested in making improvements. Power was a problem probably due to the age of the park. Fortunately we did not need our a/c so we managed alright. We would stay here again as it was convenient to town!
Nice clean campground with very helpful and friendly staff. We enjoyed our short stay here while waiting for parts to come into the local Cummins shop. The rate was with Good Sam discount (even though they never looked at my card) and for a 2nd person, my wife travels with me! We would probably stay here again.
This National Forest Campground is located on US 93 2.9 mi north of Sula (1/4 mi north of milepost 15)! It has 10 sites, plus 1 bicycle site, with picnic tables, fire rings, and vault toilets. It also has a picnic area and handicapped accessible facilities to include a fishing pier on the river. Campground can accommodate trailers and RV's to 50'. There are no hook-ups but water is available. We booked 2 nights and found it to be so pleasant we booked 8 more nights. Sites are level and all close to the creek flowing through the RV park. We cannot wait to visit this campsite again! The camphosts were friendly and helpful.
This was a nice park and all the staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. It is big rig accessible but tight for rigs 40 ft and over. Wi-fi seemed to work fine when we used it. Usually very late at night and I suspect we were one of few on it.
Spaces are tight, view is beautiful, close to town. Front row sites are water view, not water front. It is a good hike down to the beach about 125 ft below the campground! Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Host was very helpful. Some sites had leveling issues and the exit road was in desperate need of grading; huge deep potholes were present. Hiking trails were well marked. Kayaking the lake was great with beautiful views of Mt McKinley! We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
I have mixed feelings about this campground. The negatives are junk yard aspect of old vehicles parked around, uneven parking spots, rough roads, weak Wi-Fi, overall unkempt appearance. Positive aspects; one of few with full hookups near the national park, on-site restaurant/brewery had very good food and service, AND the park staff was young friendly and helpful! I really don't know if I would stay here again. Will make that decision next time we come through!
Peter D made you feel welcome and worked to insure your stay, no matter how short, was comfortable! Sites were nicely spaced and all were easy in/out. We might return to Sheridan just to stay at Peter D's!
Wi-Fi was slow and free only applied to the first 2 hours each day. But the campground was well run, well organized and one of the nicer ones in town. Spaces were closer then we like but that is apparently the norm in AK. We would stay here again, but would probably check out some other places first.
Nice park with fuel pumps that they give you a discount on. Propane also available. Some sites are on a gravel parking lot type area but we stayed up on the treed area up a hill at the back of the park. We would stay here again. Staff was helpful. Price reflects a Good Sam discount.
It is a gravel parking lot but the wash rack has very good pressure for washing the RV and price is reasonable. Wi-Fi is weak. Spots are level and the park is close to shopping and the sign forest. Host was helpful and provided the name of best gas station in town and provided a discount card that was useful for reduction in fuel cost in a town further north on the Alaska Highway.
Nice park, convenient to get in and out and just off the Interstate! The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They gave us some detailed info on a day trip to Glacier National Park. We would definitely stay here again!
This is a nice campground convenient to downtown, and the sites are all pretty level and most are drive-through. However, it does have some sections that are not full hookup so make sure you know what you are signing up for when you get there! We would definitely return to this campground!
Great park for birding. Plus lots of trails to explore and if you are a geocacher there are several fun geocaches in the park. Spots were all drive-thru. Some had issues with being level but were correctable with proper blocks. We look forward to returning to this great state park.
Spacious sites far enough apart to give each camper some privacy. Lots of opportunity for water sports in the summer months. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Roads and ground were well maintained. We would definitely stay here again!
The gravel spots in the new section are easy in and out and long enough you can lave towed vehicle attached if desired. Eubanks gate is most convenient; however as noted, it is tight fit for big rigs. Gibson gate is easier access but further from campground. Staff is friendly and helpful. They do sell propane at the campground. We will definitely stay here again.
A good basic overnight stop. Spots were level unpaved with FHU. Drive thru spots were big enough to accommodate toad if left attached or tow vehicle for 5th wheel or trailer. Self-service kiosk for late arrivals. We would stay here again overnight because it's level and easy access from highway w/FHU
A great staff compliments the great facility! Pads are level with plenty of room between them grounds are well maintained. It is convenient to New Orleans without being in the crowded urban area. Once we learned the right roads we could get to French Quarter quickly and easily. We definitely will be back to stay again!
This appears to be a fisherman's paradise. Also, some great kayaking in the area. Campground was well maintained and staff was very helpful and friendly. We would stay here again and intend to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the kayaking!
We have friends that we visit in Manchester and we usually stay in another park but tried this one this time. It is the one we use from now on. Spacious sites, easy in, easy out, and very friendly staff. What more do you need?
The park was nearly empty, but it appears in the w,inter it is full of snowbirds. It is convenient to the National Cemetery a few miles away which is why we were here! Park was a little run down and needed some updating, but staff was friendly and helpful.
The sites were spacious and fairly level. It rained while we were there and they were well drained. Staff was friendly and helpful and the campground was close to the White Mt points of interest. Campground roads were not paved, but were very usable with our big rig! We would happily stay here again.
Sites were spacious and level and it was raining much of the time we were there and they were well drained! Staff was friendly and helpful. It was convenient to local attractions including Shellburn Museum! We would stay here again.
We normally don't stay at these "corporate" campgrounds, but because of several unrelated circumstances we ended up here. First, it was convenient to the interstate. The sites were on hills, but very level and had nice area next to each site with picnic table, fire ring and room to sit and enjoy the area. Heavily wooded so no satellite TV reception, but Verizon cell phone was strong! It was under new management and improvements were noticeable. The new owners, a young couple, were enthusiastic and energized and we would stay here again, especially if our grandkids were traveling with us!
The sites we were on (row K) were a little tight and in poor condition! However, one of the workers told us the section was due to renovation starting shortly. The park was clean, staff was friendly. KOA is not one of our regular parks, but we would stay in this one again, because it is convenient to Nashville attractions!
We have stayed here several times, and it was always a nice stay. This time it was better! The grounds were better maintained, and the overall appearance of the campground was much improved! The new manager was becoming very involved in operating the campground rather than just being there! We will definitely be back!
What a surprise! We had stayed here several years ago and really did not want to stay this time, but wife has some relatives in the area and we were only going to stay one night! The NEW owners have really cleaned this campground up and made it a welcoming spot. It is easy access from I-95 exit 193, but we did not notice any noise from the Interstate. We will be visiting relatives a little more frequently now that we have a decent place to stay!
Easy access off I-95. They made us feel welcome and guided us to our spot, which was level. Nice pool on premise. Spots were shaded which interfered with satellite TV reception, but kept them cooler. We will stay here again.
They have upgraded all sites to FHU with 50 amp service. Their parking plan is a little loose, but it gives you some flexibility on which way to face in a lot of spots. All spots are grassed and fairly level. Staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming! We will stay here again
We stayed on Spot 38, a grassed exceedingly spacious spot. #36 &37 were same. Staff was great and made you feel welcome! Nice hiking trails including part of the FL Trail. We did not see any 50 amp sites and lack of sewer hook-ups would limit our stay, but a nice place to visit with unusual for FL. terrain features! My brother and his wife stayed in a cabin while we were there and they were very pleased with it, also.
About one third of the spots are under extensive renovation and will be much better spots when completed. The other spots are all paved, some not so level but acceptable. We have stayed here many times as our son-in-law was stationed here and will be back here in less then a year. It is convenient to I-295 and not far off I-95 at south end of Jacksonville.
Nice campground but minimal involvement from staff. No information was available on the local area. Sites were well marked. There was beach nearby that was part of the campground. Nice restaurant in the lodge with panoramic view. I would stay here again if in the area.
We were here during the "off-season" and it was only about 15% full. Trains at night were the only negative, did not know East Coast Florida RRs were that busy! Staff was very helpful and anxious to make the visit great. We thought the spaces were too close, but since they were mainly empty, it was not an issue with us. This park is obviously full and busy with snowbirds during the winter and it looks like everybody has a ball!
About six of the sites were directly adjacent to the beach; others are close by. It was good swimming beach. Kayaks are available to rent and there is some beautiful kayaking through the mangroves nearby. There are some hiking trails across US highway 1 that are part of this park. Only downside is there is no shade. Restrooms and bathhouses were always clean and were close to the sites which are arranged in a circle around the bathhouse and restrooms.
This park was great in many ways. There were play grounds for kids, easy beach access and good beaches with lifeguards. There were bike trails through the woods and hiking trails too. All were well kept and marked plainly. Most sites were pull through. The staff was helpful and friendly and available. Looking forward to our next visit.
