LOCATION, Location, Location. Have been coming here for 10 years. Each year I wonder if it will still be open. Not any more. The place is being cleaned and sites are being assigned. There were between 17 and 25 camper parked in the parking lot in boondocking at $50 a night with use of restroom. Stay the week and enjoy the location. Path train one mile north at Grove Station, or use ferry right across parking lot. Statue of Liberty can be viewed from south end sites. Holland Tunnel is two miles north on Marin.
The Camp Host is available 2-5pm M-F and 8-5 Saturday. Spent two weeks here. Has a dump station. There is a library 2 miles north with internet service. DO NOT FEED THE BEARS. Deer and bear will walk by your site. Heavy woods: no dish access and TV reception is poor. Radio is not great either. Bring your videos or walk the wooded trails and enjoy nature. Stay here each year we come to New Jersey.
Family owned farm since 1946. Was used as a Fiddlers convention and concerts. Call ahead and tell owner what you need and he can recommend a site. Just pull into the site and owner will come by later in the day and collect fee. Very relaxing location.
Adult campground on side of hill. Some pull-through sites. Very friendly owners on site. Dog run. Amish farm across the street. Odor may bother city folk. Very relaxing. Back-in sites are easy to back into, just pull in and back up the hill.
Sites high and dry after several days of rain. Edge of interior roads were wet. Easy access to Newfoundland Ferry. Management said take ferry and get out of rain. Irving Station about 3km south is not easy to fuel but easy access for propane. Check out is 2 pm.
