Rate reflects weekly rate. We have enjoyed staying at this park for 10 of the past 12 years during the Portland Rose Festival in May and June. It is located on Hayden Island in the Columbia River. The grounds are attractive and well cared for. There is aircraft noise during the day and railroad noise some nights. A short walk across the street is Jantzen Beach Super Center with some 30 stores currently open. Safeway is a short drive away on the island. A paved river front trail in the adjoining Mobile Home Park gives spectacular views of Mount Hood, Mount Saint Helens and Columbia River shipping traffic. Downtown Portland is an 8 mile, rarely more than 15 minute drive, even in rush hour traffic on I-5. It is this ease of access to Portland and Vancouver locations which set this RV Park apart from other RV Parks. Yes, I-5 traffic is occassionally stopped by Columbia River Bridge lifts for barge traffic, but delays are short and part of normal life in Portland. There are perhaps 5 to 7 major restaurants on the island and for a special dining experience one can try the quaint floating Island Cafe on the eastern end of the island. All in all, it is a delightful location.

This is a very posh campground that is attractively landscaped and maintained. The rather narrow sites were laid out before slideouts existed so some care is necessary when parking to preserve clearance to extend the slideouts. Wireless reception is excellent. Management is friendly and helpful. We camped there in a 27 foot motorhome and access is still tight. Big rig campers will test their patience when maneuvering into their site.

A winding one mile blacktop road off of highway 101 through oak trees and pasture leads one to this out of the way campground. It is small but has a pastoral setting. A new bath and shower facility is very clean and nicely appointed. Some shade is available. Management is friendly and one gets a gracious greeting. The roads through the campground are gravel. It very quiet at night. All in all, a very pleasant place to overnight.

This campground has good clean sites with well maintained grounds and hookups. It borders two busy streets and has more traffic noise than we like. The management is pretty uptight and we were in doubt whether we were really welcome.

This campground is an older facility, but has great harbor water front camp sites. We stay there several times each year and have never needed reservations. The management is friendly and helpful. Restaurants and Safeway are within easy walking. One can stroll along the sandy beach and harbor piers or walk in an adjacent city park and hike to the harbor breakwater. Quaint and quite scenic. Very quiet at night with the foghorns sounding softly. Waterfront campers can watch fishing boats come and go from their RV. Lots of green grassy sites around with a few scattered pine trees that the tenters like to cluster around.
