This campground was OK overall. Beautiful location and scenery. Clean Friendly staff. Decent game room. Mostly seasonal and pipeline workers staying there (very few weekend campers). Paddle boat and row boat were out of service. No activities planned the weekend we were there. Early morning heavy equipment noise from nearby strip mine. Lake "beach" was overgrown and not enticing (they are adding a pool this year, though)
A friend of ours recommended Prince Gallitzen as it is one of their favorite places to camp with their family. We have now camped here twice and it is definitely going to be a regular spot for us. It's clean, beautiful, and plenty of rustic fun. It's a very large campground, but the lots are fairly spacious. Like all state campgrounds, it's lacking full hookups, swimming pools, and other such amenities, but it's worth the trade-offs.
